My toddler was so scared of having a haircut and threw a tantrum. The ladies at the salon did not get stressed, handled it with grace and knew exactly what to do to calm him down and get his haircut done. 10000/10

Nice facility, clean and definitely kid friendly. Our hair stylist was kind and patient. Our son was instantly comfortable. The staff was friendly as well! Definitely will be back.

Aida was amazing with my one year old and two year old. She was patient and knew how to handle their movements and behavior. The salon is super cute and filled with holistic children’s hair products. I was super impressed to see products from such high end, natural brands for sale. I like that they have things on hand to help (lollipops, iPads, etc.) but they always asked permission first before assuming our child was allowed do have something. Awesome experience!

We took our son to get his first haircut at Rock Hair Scissors and it exceeded all of our expectations. We wondered how it would go cutting a toddler’s hair, but Kelly was amazing and our son took to her really quickly. Everyone was so friendly and the place is really cute. Highly recommend - I can’t say enough positive things about this place.

My family has been going here for about 10 years! Recently I don’t know what happened but some of the stylists look grumpy and overworked. Ever since the last receptionist left things have changed for the worst. The service isn’t what it used to be. The new receptionist doesn’t know what ‘gratuity’ is! There’s a sign by the register about gratuity and she doesn’t know what it is! Right before one of my kids was about to get her haircut. I told the stylist what my kid wants. The stylist SNAPPED at me because I didn’t look at my child in the mirror the way she wanted me to. I’m trying to see my child from all angles and take it all in. “MOM LOOK AT THE MIRROR! MOM! LOOK AT THE MIRROR!” She used to be one of the nicest ladies there and I don’t know what happened to her! This place has changed. Rock Hair just lost a loyal customer. Sad to say I’m not coming back.

Thank you for the wonderful service! My little one is not the most patient, but the staff here are true pros—they know exactly how to handle it. I still remember with such warmth how they treated him during his very first haircut. We even have a lock of his hair and a toy they gifted him to celebrate the occasion. Highly recommend this place!

We see Kelly for both our son and daughter, and she’s always great with them. She knows how to keep my son calm when he’s upset about the clippers near his ears, and she makes my daughter feel so special by adding a little braid to hold her hair back. I highly recommend her!

So far I’ve had two horrible experiences at this place. The first was my son’s first haircut a few years ago. The woman doing the cut basically held my son down while he cried, cut his hair quickly with clippers, and sent us on our way in less than 15 minutes. There was no attempt to distract him, have him sit in my lap, or use scissors instead of the clippers when it was obvious he was afraid of the noise I was willing to give this place another shot now that my son is older and thought maybe I had a one off experience. I looked through the reviews and booked with a particular stylist who people seemed to like. Unfortunately the second time around I never got to experience because this business cancelled the appointment that I had made 2 hours before my appointment time for not “confirming”. Never in my life have I not shown up to an appointment and never have I had a business cancel on me so last minutes. The day of the appointment they blew up my phone with incessant messages, emails and phone calls for me to confirm. However, I was asleep during the day and didn’t see any messages until I woke up in time to pick up my child and take them to their haircut but by that time they messaged me that the appointment was cancelled. What an absolutely horrible business practice. I had planned this afternoon off weeks in advance to get this haircut and they just cancelled on me with no warning. There is nothing written in their policy about being required to “confirm” or they will cancel your appointment so future customers beware. For me personally, I will not be giving this place a third chance to strike out.

"10 out of 10. The place was very welcoming with all the toys." - my kids. We came in yesterday for haircuts before picture day the next day. Vicky and Aida were great. The haircuts came out terrific. We will be back.

The person attempting to cut my nephew's hair obviously had no experience with toddlers. He is almost 2 and this was his first haircut. The employee was made aware of this being his first haircut also yet she didn't attempt engaging with him or showing him the clippers before going at his hair and then proceeded to have his mother go directly to holding him down while she tried shaving his head while he screamed. His mother and I had to stop her because he was so upset. While we understand this is common for toddlers to he scared and maybe even have to hold them to get their hair cut, she could have done a better job at engaging with him first. He hates having his nails cut yet I managed to engage with him and make it a game and got the job done. Possible we would have still ended up with the same result but had she at least attempted working with him beforehand, this review would have been a lot different. Definitely lack of effort on her part IN ADDITION to that... his mother is a single parent who is in the process of adopting him AND his newborn brother who happened to be crying. One of the other employees tells her maybe leave the baby with the Dad next time! Overall horrible experience there. The cutsie environment and tablets to entertain kids does make them qualified to deal with young kids and their hair.

My 1 y/o and 3 y/o received haircuts from Ms. Kelly; it was an INCREDIBLE experience and that’s not an exaggeration. My 3 y/o has severe anxiety attacks when it comes to haircuts and strangers touching him. Ms. Kelly and her assistant were so patient and gentle. I actually saw a significant improvement in my 3 y/o’s anxiety level bc of the way Ms. Kelly was interacting with him during the appt. 10/10, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ms Kelly is the best. My almost 2 year old hates getting hair cuts and is like wrestling an alligator. She is so patient with him and works around us trying to keep him still.

Great staff! Everyone is so friendly! Vicky does an amazing and quick job cutting my son's hair, he's 3. We always request the cowlick fade for him, he can be challenging but Vicky is so patient, we will be coming here for years to come!

Took my daughter here for her first haircut and it was great! Kelly was awesome and wonderful with my daughter. For first time haircuts, they give you the option of getting a cute certificate with a small clip of your child's hair. The salon is decorated like a jungle. Very cool. The kids can sit in a racecar or airplane. We will be back for sure!

We went for our 18 month old sons’ first haircuts and it went so much better than expected thanks to Aida and Vicky. It was a nice experience and the haircuts look great!
