Brad has been my barber for the last 8 years. My hair is difficult to work with and it feels like it's mostly cowlick. I have a long history of bad haircuts because barbers just haven't been able to figure out how to work with my goofy hair. Brad jumped into the project the first time, by thoughtfully assessing what he was working with and adjusting accordingly. I have literally never had a bad haircut since i started going to him. He's funny, he's personable, and the word on the street is that he used to drive a Miada.

Had my second cut with Bradley Mowen (formerly of Rudy's) and I'm sticking with him! He really wants to get the cut right. He asks questions, listens to the answers and... gets it right. I also appreciate that he moves as fast as I need him to. When I was in a hurry, he blazed through it. When I wasn't in a hurry, he kicked back and gave me the full experience. In both cases... he got it right. Also discovered that he's got some serious rock/metal bona fides. Rock Steady indeed!

Absolutely love getting my hair cut, styled and dyed by Angelo Terracciano! His precision cuts and knowledge of color is unsurpassed. Angelo is also such a delightful person, excellent conversationalist, and makes me and my hair feel renewed. I dig the location too! Angelo started doing my hair in March 2024. He colors my grow out, adds highlights and cuts my hair every five weeks. He’s so talented and entertaining at the same time. I’m so happy, with his services. He was referred to me and I feel very fortunate to have found him.

I’ve been a fan and loyal customer of Rudy’s Phinney Ridge for some time now. For at least the last decade I’ve gotten cuts from Brad whenever I can and I’ll be following him to Rock Steady next month. Brad has always given me an excellent cut. He’s always prompt and professional but he’s also interesting and fun to talk to. Try him out and feel free to ask him about his old Miata 😁.

Alicia gave me literally the best haircut I've ever had! You can tell she truly cares and is incredibly skilled and talented. Also love how she styled my hair and the products she used were high quality and took my hair texture into consideration. Highly recommend ^_^

I've got thin hair which is difficult to work with and get looking just right -- having been to many stylists throughout Seattle and not getting what I need -- he did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable about what my hair needed and really, it looked perfect. Couldn't be happier.

Alicia is amazing! Not only great with creating your perfect hair/haircut that you have in mind, but also suggesting at home products/upkeep, and in the best, most comfortable and positive way!! I have referred SO MANY people to her and will continue to do so because I know she will deliver amazing results in a very comfortable space. I have literally come to her a hot mess, only to leave my appointment feeling so much better, and looking cute on top of it.

So, I recently learned my go-to guy for consistently great haircuts no longer worked at the barbershop I’d been using for the past several years and I was dreading the laborious process of trying to find a new go-to person. You know the experience I’m talking about, right? The months long saga full of subpar service, disappointing haircuts and lackluster conversations, until eventually you stumble upon someone new that you can trust with your hair. Rock Steady was the first place I tried. Yeah, I did some research, but I never expected I’d be so lucky as to find some like Alicia on my first attempt. I’m widely impressed with the professional service and genuine attention to detail she offered. Moreover, the conversation we shared was truly enlightening. If you are looking for someone new you can trust with your hair and you appreciate making a human connection, Alicia at Rock Steady is the person for you. I can’t recommend her enough. -- Post Note: I learned (through Alicia) that my previous go-to person had opened his own shop just down the street. Now I’m both torn over who to visit next time I need a cut, and excited to have not one but two great options in my area.

Alicia is the best and I highly recommend her! Great attention to detail. She works hard to make sure her clients are happy with their color and cuts; she will even re-do it if you aren’t. Her salon is in a great location, it’s clean and has wi-fi.
