I've been going to Genesis at Rockit for a few years. She is AMAZING. She is consistent with how she cuts. She listens as I describe what I want using non-stylist language, and she understands. The salon is always clean and upbeat. I highly recommend it.

(My stylist was Genesis) I haven’t gotten a haircut in over 5 years due to anxiety of cutting my hair, but I decided to go with this place as all the photos I saw were amazing, and WOW I was blown out of the water. To start, everyone was soooo nice here it was such a welcoming place, my haircut turned out beyond amazing and the price was very affordable. I highly recommend this place and Genesis as a stylist! I am 1000% coming back, I love my hair! (To add, my hair feels softer than EVER and my hair looks better than ever Aswell! Thank you so much Genesis!) If you’re thinking of this place, DO IT!!!

I have always had a hard time finding a hair stylist due to having curly hair but once I found Rockit, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. Liz cut and dyed my hair and it came out exactly as I had envisioned it!! That woman can work wonders and I would highly recommend her. After my appointments, I’m always being stopped anywhere and everywhere by people telling me how much they love my hair. I’m always changing it up and Liz keeps up with me. She sometimes even helps me figure out what I want, when all I know I want change. Feeling like a million bucks every single time I leave this place! Sometimes I forget to eat and she has a cart of amazing snacks which has saved my life. Also shout out to Scarlett, who has spectacular taste!! I always feel right at home when I’m here. They carry the best products, that always leave me wanting more. Best place to treat yo self!

Liz has been nothing short of extraordinary every time I’ve come to her. Whether it be a cut or a color, she always does the most amazing work w a smile on her face. The salon is wonderful, and I think very lucky to have Liz. I will continue going to Liz forever.

I’m over the moon with my hair cut and color! Scarlett is sweet, professional, and the salon has a great upbeat vibe. The atmosphere is fun and fabulous. Scarlett and all of her stylists, as well as her assistant stylists are knowledgeable and make it a very comfortable experience from start to finish. They make you feel like part of the family. I would recommend Rock It hair salon a million times over! I can’t wait til my next visit.

Lilly cut my hair before the holidays, and she did an amazing job! Most hairdressers cut so much off my hair, but she truly listened to my requests and did everything I asked. I still have length left with all the necessary dead ends gone. How she styled and cut my hair left me feeling so confident for the holidays!

Really nice people and a great vibe, but man the haircut is actually so bad :( One side of my bangs have a random part chopped really short and the haircut isn't even what the hairstylist said they were going to do ("baby mullet"). Super disappointed that I won't be back because everyone was great!

I got my hair cut by Lily and she was absolutely phenomenal! Was very attentive, detailed, sweet, and fun to talk to! I had a reference photo and she cut my hair exactly how I wanted and gave me a beautiful blow out. Not to mention the salon itself has a very cool vibe. Will definitely be going back next time I need a cut!

Beautiful shop that felt luxurious! Lily cut and colored my hair and it came out amazing! My first professional salon experience did not disappoint she was friendly and so so talented! Free snacks and drinks are a plus especially for long appointments!

I have been going to Scarlett/Rockit for many years now. This is the only salon that I refer too and go too. My children (4yrs and 9 yrs) have never been cut anywhere else. They are always so excited to go and See Scarlett. They love that she speaks directly to them and asks them what they want/like/need. They feel so grown up being respected by and spoken to so kindly when expressing what they'd like their hair to look like and then getting the exact style/cut they were asking for. We've never had an experience where any of us have left feeling less than satisfied with our services. I wish I could leave more than five stars !! Just a small update : Even after moving the salon is beautiful open and has a great welcoming feel. I'm so glad their space has grown!

I have been watching Chance's work for years, ever since he was with Aveda. I'm so excited to finally get my hair done by him. I usually dye my own hair at home and don't really pamper myself, so I'm beyond happy to have it done professionally. I wanted to go back to a more natural looking red. He made me feel look and feel so beautiful that I cried at the end. I feel like I just had a makeover. This has boosted my confidence. He even deep conditioned, trimmed, and styled my hair! Thank you so much, Chance. You are an amazing person and cosmetologist. I am so grateful for all of the time and care you gave me. It means so much more than you could know.

I really, really loved my experience at Rockit Hair Studio with stylist Leandra! I got booked with her through her convenient appointment request via her website. I booked less than 24 hours ahead of time and she was able to accommodate me. I landed with wanting a haircut to give my hair life and movement. She was able to deliver! She gave me long layers and face framing layers. Leandra is such a sweetheart. I'm new to ABQ so I was looking for my new stylist that I can be loyal to and get comfortable with. She's definitely my girl. Really happy I found her because she also did my hair color. I went with honey and caramel tones. My hair feels healthy, bouncy, and refreshed. Thanks Leandra!

I've been going to Scarlett for a little over 2 years now, and I absolutely love her. I was searching for so long to find someone to get my color and highlights how I wanted them, and I am so happy I found her. The rest of the stylists and assistants here are absolutely incredible as well. It's always a karaoke party in here everytime I go! The prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend to anyone!

my first experience at rockit hair studio was incredible! scarlett took really good care of my hair and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. i had a really nice time getting my hair cut and colored. would recommend to anyone looking to get their hair done with excellence and grace unmatched by anyone! also oner last thing-- she offered for me to come back if there's anything that i found unsatisfactory with my cut or color. i have never heard of any stylist being that thoughtful before now. although, my haircut is perfect so i doubt i'll be back in her chair until i want something else new! all in all- great lace and amazing experience fora great price!

***Edit to response** There are some low reviews that have the same problem. Also, your response is childish. Glad to know you don't give any thought to feedback to help make things better, instead your responses to any negative review isn't to resolve but act immature. I'm glad I found the truth to how the owner runs the business.*** The booking process is HORRIBLE!!! You literally have to look up each stylist, call and text each person to find availability. Most of the time you don't even get a response after the back and forth from the website to your phone. It is an awful way to get clients! I was ready to spend hundreds but I'm so frustrated that I'll get to somewhere else!!! The first time and only time I went, the haircut was butcherd but she was new to the industry, so it really meant a lot to get ahold of a more experienced stylist for my next cut and color.

Amazing salon and Scarlett is a great stylist! Everyone there is friendly and it has a very comfortable vibe. Great space and great people! I am a hairstylist in Santa Fe and I make the trip to Albuquerque to get my hair done there because they are the best.

Amazing!!! Scarlett does such a beautiful job with her work and she had my hair back to platinum blonde so quick. and i love how i don’t spend over $500 for a root touch up. scarlett is so sweet and she’s my favorite. can’t think of any other hairstylist id go to🥰. so if yall come here, ask for Scarlett!

Honestly if I could give more than 5 stars, I would absolutely! From the second I came in I felt welcomed, taken care of, and at home. All of the staff and stylists are extremely professional and I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who’s nervous about trusting someone new! Scarlett has been a savior when trying to deal with what to do with my hair. She respects my boundaries and always listens to exactly what I say. I have always been more than satisfied with my experience. She’s the best!

I love love love Scarlet she is amazing . She has been doing my hair for almost a year. She is so amazing. She uses all the best products. The hair dye she uses is amazing it doesn’t fade as soon as other products that have been used on my hair in the past. Her hair cuts are perfect and she always does exactly what I’mLooking for . Today was my final straw with this salon. (And this isn't me, I don't like to write bad reviews.) I originally began my experience here with Scarlett. She did a fine job on my cut, maybe not so much the color. No problem. I wanted to give her another shot. I literally spend weeks trying to arrange an appointment with her. After several text messages saying she will get back to me, I finally gave up. I then moved on to James who is an amazing person and did a great job with my hair, but it was extremely difficult to get an appointment with him. Again, I would text (the only way to create an appointment) and wait literal weeks for a response. Then, on the previous two occasions (after taking forever to create the appointments), right before I had an important meeting coming up, he cancelled on me, and I had to rush around and find another salon. As another reviewer stated, the booking process here is terrible because it's non existent. Why am I going to this salon if it's so much work to get an appointment, only to get cancelled on and have to find a different stylist? There was a THIRD stylist there who I could book with online, who responded to my texts, and was much more reliable. Well, turns out she was fired. Goodbye, Rockit, can't say I didn't really try, but I'm out.

Unfortunately, I was cancelled several times by James. I scheduled a color with haircut several months back. The day of my scheduled appointment, he texted me and said he was canceling as he had the flu. I attempted to schedule with him three times after his cancellation, but he never responded to my requests.

After having the same hairstylist for the last 15 years in Ohio, I really was afraid I wouldn’t find anybody that could take care of my hair after moving here to New Mexico a few months ago, but when I tell you, I hit the jackpot with Scarlett boy did I hit the jackpot, this woman worked miracles with my hair. She was extremely knowledgeable very friendly. Her staff was amazing and her salon was really cute and welcoming. I will never go anywhere else. If you get an appointment here you would be doing yourself a huge favor. no regrets. 😃🥰

Aly did it again! She is amazing! Gave me a great deal on a color and then went above and beyond my expectations. She showed me how to style my hair using the comb technique she used and gave me a lot of great advice for my type of hair. She even showed me what my natural curls can actually look like when done well! Thank you again, Aly, you deserve more and then some! I am definitely coming back!

Rockit Salon has been an important part of my life for over a decade. The new location radiates eclectic, eccentric, sort of Industrial meets Rockabilly meets Day of the Dead Vibes. There are cute upgrades that feel like big differences, such as rolling carts of snacks at each station, tools hanging from the ceiling, a new nail station, a stunning client restroom, badass neon signs, and sooo much more space, but that’s not the reason to go. Go to Rockit because of its owners, managers and staff. For their talent, for their professionalism, for their extensive knowledge, expertise and excitement surrounding their craft, and for their dedication to making you happy. I’ve had very long hair, I’ve had my natural color, I’ve had highlights, I’ve had fully dyed hair, and I’m Very Serious about all of it. I want to know everything about how they’re cutting, what products they’re using, what’s in the products they’re using, how they’re styling it, the best way for me to replicate that styling, ect. I’m a lot, but my questions are always answered kindly, confidently, and respectfully, as if the stylist has this huge cache of knowledge (which they do) and they can’t wait to tell me. I’ve never been made to feel as annoying as I am. I’ve had one stylist there move, and I’ve lost another to shocking tragedy, but I’ve always been placed in beautiful new hands and have never even considered finding someone new somewhere else. The assistants deserve a special shout out! Chad does my nails, and he is such a beautiful, highly skilled individual, yet he indulges me in my simplicity. I am lucky enough to have Scarlett as my stylist. She is a conductor, executing a silent symphony at Rockit, floating around in a constantly changing rhythm of multiple clients and assistants at once, expertly timed and perfected so that I never feel neglected or unimportant. She goes above and beyond to solve all my hair and scalp issues in ways I would never even consider. I trust her so much I might even ask her to cut bangs one day. 🫣 Jk, that’s crazy talk. Five stars all day and all night. 💚💚💚

I love this hair studio! They have friendly staff and atmosphere. I’ve seen Scarlett for both cut and color. She listens to her clients and gives great advice. I always leave the studio feeling refreshed and in love with my new hair. I couldn’t recommend them enough!
