I have been in search of a great hairstylist here in Austin and looking for a good cut! I saw Dusty do his thing on TikTok and absolutely satisfied with the cut and experience I had! Between the champagne and laughs, I’ll definitely be back again.

Been coming here for a couple of years and just love it! My hairdresser is great and always makes me feel welcome. I love being spoiled a little bit and Michael does just that! All the staff is great and friendly!!!!

Dusty was AMAZING! Best hair cut I’ve ever had in my life! Not only is the ambiance of this place beautiful, Dusty was friendly, skilled, and had me laughing the entire time. He loves what he does and I love how he explained the entire process to me and also answered every question I had about styling my hair at home. So worth the price and I’m excited to come back again.

Had super high hopes for a great cut. Had what I thought was a good consultation until the cutting started. I told my stylist DO NOT cut my bangs above my nose ring. He proceeded to cut above it near my eyebrows nearly 2.5 inches away from where I said don't go above. Told him I do not not like a shag look. He proceeded to give me a shag look. Told him i wanted face framing. NOTHING was done. I had to rush to the bathroom to hold back my tears and coach myself not to cry in front of everyone. AND ON TOP OF IT all did not even give me a cape. I had hair all over my clothes. Stylist was definitely not friendly, but wasnt rude. Don't be fooled by the "upscale" look because the quality is def. Not there. Listen to the bad reviews. They're not lying. I've been crying for about a whole 24 hrs. I absolutely am disgusted when I look at my hair nothing about it makes sense meaning one side def longer than the other.

Best salon in town. Ron and Ethan are fantastic and so talented. If you’re looking for a place to get extensions, you should check them out. This is the only place I trust with my hair. They also specialize in curly hair. All of their staff is fabulous and so sweet too!

Ethan has been absolutely amazing! He has helped me embrace my curly hair. He has taken the time to show me how to care for and style my curls. He has also given me the prettiest hair color I have ever had. He listened to exactly what I wanted and he delivered a soft highlight that allows my grays to come in naturally and less noticeable between colors. I have found my forever stylist . Thank you !!

I absolutely love this salon, the vibes are great and I always enjoy my time in there with the stylists. They always perform with ease and finesse and always give me exactly what it is i’m envisioning. we start slow and work our way into the perfect cut. definitely my forever hair home! Dusty gets me right every single time without fail.

I have been coming to the Ron King Salon since 2006. I have long dark hair with highlights. The staff are highly trained professionals; both Ron and Ethan travel worldwide to educate and they mentor the stylists at their salon. Yet they are humble and hospitable! They provide a comfortable environment, clean, upbeat, modern, & always play great music. The shampoo room has cozy chairs and spa like Music. I have been loyal All these years for a reason. I am always made to feel like a special member of the family!

Such a fantastic salon. The team is very welcoming. Mascot Milo made my day! Aesthetically this salon is beautiful and wonderful to spend time in. Tab is my curly haired PRO. He has the educational expertise partnered with real life experience that makes all the difference. My cuts last a long time. I’m always complemented on my hair and a big reason is because of Tab’s talent. I recommend this salon.

I’ve been coming Ron King Salon for over a year now and I always recommend it to my friends / people who compliment my hair! I see both Michael and Lawrence on and off who both leave me feeling so hot leaving the salon! I love having a glass of champagne and just chatting with everyone. They’re always honest and help me achieve whatever look I have in mind. Owners have an eye for design too which is hard to ignore. 10/10 every time!

This truly was the best experience I’ve had at a hair salon.I’m not usually one to do stuff with my hair because it has remained the same for so many years, but I wanted something different and was recommended Ethan from another person.Immediately when I walked in for my appointment following up after consultation I was greeted by Ron who offered me a beverage of my choice and guided me to where I was supposed to go.I waited until Ethan came in to get started and was treated with the nicest hospitality ever by Emily which was nice.She washed my hair but also constantly made sure I was good to go!Ethan came in shortly after and was very nice and very communicative about everything he was doing whilst making sure he was fulfilling my goals with my hair and he did just that!He managed to get me to the color I wanted which was a icier blonde while still keeping my hair healthy.I also had many laughs sitting in the chair with Ethan and his coworkers.Overall I recommend this salon to anybody needing to get their hair treated but also want a wonderful experience at the same time

My experiences have consistently been amazing, thanks to their talented team. Michael and Lawrence are my go-to stylists, but everyone there goes above and beyond to ensure a relaxing and luxurious visit. Every penny spent here is absolutely worth it.

Dusty did a PHENOMENAL job on my cut and color! He was so personable and kind (truly a joy to speak with) and really took the time to listen to what I wanted with incredible execution. Beyond excellent technique, he made sure to walk me through styling tips for my new cut which I appreciated so much! I couldn’t be happier and I would absolutely recommend this salon!

Customer service sucks! They called to reschedule my appointment to another stylist because Dusty was not going to be there. After looking at the new stylist’s work (not going to give out the name) I called multiple times before my appointment to cancel and no answer since they were closed on Sunday and Monday (my appointment was on Tuesday) so I left voicemails to give my 24 hour notice. Of course they said they never received them. Sent screenshots and they still charged me almost $300 for a no show. Ethan is rude and hung up on me. Then after calling back they said the received a voicemail but it was not within 24 hours. I will be reporting the bad customer service on everything that I can and experience to everyone to ensure no one goes there or until they refund me my money. Sucks because I really wanted dusty to do my hair.

Horrible management. I had my appointment booked with Ethan for two weeks, paid the 150 deposit, and confirmed via phone and texts 3 times before my appointment, even the morning of! Only to get a call while on the way to the salon that Ethan was in Chicago and would not be seeing clients. For a salon that is so strict on no reschedules, no refunds, no rebookings, and no product in hair the morning of, such a late notice is not acceptable. Additionally, I was hung up on after non agreeing to reschedule. Don’t schedule here if you actually want your appointment honored.

I went here to see Dusty and I LOVE it! He told me exactly what would look good on me and really listened to what I wanted. He explained every step to make sure I’m okay with it and he’s so, so sweet! Truly the best haircut I had in 10 years or so! I won’t go anywhere else ever again! Thank you so much, Dusty!!

Just got a call from Danny (the receptionist) and they cancelled my appointment for this evening because the client before me booked incorrectly and now will be running over and because my app is an evening appointment they can’t accommodate me! This is a huge disappointment as I have a special occasion and was really looking forward to getting my hair done. I don’t understand why the client who booked incorrectly is not asked to reschedule. When I made my appointment I called and spoke to someone to confirm my service and also was reassured they could do it all in the evening. The receptionist didn’t think it was a big deal and was even laughing about it. No sympathy what so ever. I’m sorry but when someone has had this scheduled for weeks and desperately needs their hair done it’s not a laughing manner. I’ll take my money elsewhere!

This was my first time at Ron King and it was excelent from the moment I arrived. Michael was my hairdresser. He's very polite and friendly, did a curly cut and highlights for an amazing transformation. He listened carefully to what I wanted and did a great job including showing me how to style my hair at home. Service was done within the range time they had alloted and informed me about, so I knew exactly what to expect. I highly reccomend Ron King Salon and Michael as the hairdresser. I am certainly going back.

Would not recommend, and if I could give zero stars, I would. I went to see Dusty after seeing a tik tok of his work and unfortunately did not have a great experience. I'm not one to write a negative review, but after spending 400.00 for a service that left me with uneven choppy layers, and fried hair from over processing color I felt it was necessary to let anyone who may go see him to beware of the type of services you may receive. He failed to wash my hair after color and only took me back to the bowl after I questioned him about it while in his chair and told him my scalp was itching and burning. He was adamant that he did wash my hair, but I use Oribe at home. Oribe is very fragrant and lathers a great deal with just a small amount so i knew he was lying as not only did I not smell any shampoo, but I did not feel it in my hair until I went back to the bowl to get washed in freezing water. This is the type of service I'd expect to see from an inexperienced stylist, not a high-end salon like Ron King. I did receive a text from Dusty after he saw my review. Instead of attempting to correct any of my concerns or offering an apology, he attempted to insult me, claiming I was unable to style my own hair. So, not only is he terrible at his "skill," but he's an awful person. Beware!!
