I went into the shop with a picture of my broken pool inlet valve. The owner stated that it wasn’t an original Doughboy valve and took me to the back of the store and picked out two options to fix it. We agreed that i would call and set up a service date when I closed the pool. when i called, i was asked to send the picture again. on the service date, a person showed up, looked at the inlet and stated he had nothing that would fix that, told me i should try to glue the broken piece and left. 3 minutes total and i still got to pay $150 for Labor Service With Drive Time. i cannot recommend this company at all, just another example of “ always read the reviews first!

Can’t overstate it enough go someplace else for your pool needs. Purchased a pool and installation from Kevin and Minnie in the middle of April 2024 and as of August still not complete with no finish date scheduled. They don’t communicate and run a dysfunctional operation, asked why they ghosted me, response was I don’t know. Thank you to Mattawan Mechanical for picking up the pieces of Roodbergen pool and completing the job.

Roodbergen Pools has earned my loyalty! I’ve had a couple of equipment issues with my above ground pool this season, and they have responded quickly and effectively. Special recognition also goes to Minnie who is always helpful when I’m in the store or talking on the phone!

Paid for opening of pool service and cleaning. (Over $500) This is our second year owning a pool so we wanted to hire someone to help us take care of it and get it in check. We understand that they were hit by the tornado so we tried to have some Grace when it came to pushing back our services. However every time someone came out there was some excuse that they couldn't clean our pool. Their communication was less than obviously if we hired a company we don't know what we're doing hence the reasoning behind hiring them. When they first came out to hook it up from winterization prior to coming out they never said anything about filling the pool so we had to wait. When they did finally make it out they claimed that my pump wasn't working which has since been proven false. But regardless I bought a new pump. They continue to tell me that they couldn't hook up the new pump because I didn't purchase it from them which again was not communicated. So I decided that we would hook up our own pump which we were able to figure out with a family friend. They've done continue to say that there someone will stop out in about a week and no one stopped out to clean the pool at one point a guys stopped out to supposedly clean the pool and then claimed they didn't know where my hoses were. Again lack of communication firstly had I known someone's going to stop out I would have made sure the hoses were available. However with that being said naturally you would think that a pool company would travel with extra houses. Now that my green pool has gotten Greener this is the worst I've seen it. I hired them so that I wouldn't have the stress of dealing with the pool this summer as I am a full-time mom of six work full and part-time as well as going to school full time. I was planning on hiring them for bi-weekly cleaning and balancing of chemicals I was even willing to pay for the season. I'm so thankful that I did not do that and I learned now had I read the reviews like I should have I probably would not have hired them in the first place. No one ever came to clean our pool they claimed someone came out last Friday therefore I will not be getting my refund for the cleaning. When in turn the pool is as green as it is because of their lack of cleaning the pool in the first place. On top of the lack of communication. I will say mini their receptionist was very accommodating and understanding and we were thankful for her. However the gentleman that came out were rude and almost seemed as if they didn't know what they were doing. I am beyond disappointed with this company I will absolutely never use them again and would never refer them. for reference: this started around May 12th.

Kevin and Josh really helped me out with some fittings and couplers to repair my spa, everyone was very friendly and cordial. They spent quite a bit of time helping me and answering my questions and I would absolutely use them again in the future

Had a new liner installed for our 24' above ground pool last fall. They came in the morning and we were back swimming that evening. They were the only company that were able to help us in this process and all went as promised. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will be a loyal customer in the coming years.

Had to have a valve joint replaced on my hot tub. I had already removed the panels. All the technician had to do was double check the source of the leak, replace the section and refill. Easily a one-person job. I was charged for a two-person job at five hours total. Now, PVC is easy to work with, and the joint was right at the pump—easy access. When I questioned the charge I was told they saved me money because one person would have taken 8 hours. Right! Work quality was OK, but do believe I got gouged on the price.

Very helpful local business. They helped me find the parts I needed to complete a hot tub repair. I would definitely recommend them if you’re in the market for a new spa as well. Their showroom has very nice spas and pools.

The folks at Roodbergen Pools installed a swim spa for us this summer. They needed a special piece of equipment to move the spa, but the rental companies didn't have one available. These folks went above and beyond, asking friends, family, and local business owners for info on equipment. Finally finding a company with the right equipment and having the company down the road lease them the equipment. They have been very helpful in answering all my questions, as well. They've also stayed open after hours for me, when I needed some supplies. They're great.

Excellent service and a friendly staff. This is a family owned company that stands by its products and offers great advice when things go wrong. We bought a hot tub from them 14 years ago. They have helped maintain it as well as repair it and it still going strong. Eight years ago, they put in an inground pool in for us. Kevin, the owner's son, sat with us and we went over numerous options and price points developing a plan that worked for us and our budget. We shopped around and Kevin had the best plan and price point - other companies were literally going to drop a hole in my yard and anything else, including a winter cover, was going to be thousands extra. The pool is wonderful and should an issue arise they are there to answer our questions about cloudy pools and pool pumps. Granted you can get cheaper supplies at chain stores, but the teenage clerks therein will not be able to help you clear a cloudy pool three days before a family get together. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and highly recommend them.

I called 10:00am on 6/8 for a replacement skimmer. Hannah told me she would call me back. I called back at 3:00pm to check availability. She informed me that they were too busy and they would call me. Update: 6/30 the owner left a message regarding the skimmer. Really! Are you kidding me. What a joke. Also, installed a brand new pool in 2017. I went in the store a month later to tell them that everywhere you walked your foot sank . I now have footprints and major trenches that make it very difficult to vacuum. They did absolutely nothing. I’ll never buy anything from this store nor would I recommend them

This place is a joke.went in for pool supplies and I received no help. I was in the place probably 10-15 minutes and not once did any body offer assistance. Past practice tells me I'm not the only one who gets this kinds service.

Roodbergen installed my pool over twenty years ago and did a great job then. Just last week they installed a new liner. It fit PERFECTLY. The men were very neat and tidy. I heartily recommend them to anyone wanting a new pool,spa, or liner. Jim Bradford

We are into our third year with a Doughboy pool we bought here and I can’t tell you how much I continue to be frustrated with our purchase..I had to hire a professional to come help us get our pool back to normal, all the information we were given as far as care and maintenance has proven to be false we have even discovered inconsistencies between what we were told and what the owners manual says. I love my pool when it’s operational but it’s a constant battle all season long and I can confidently say I would never recommend this dealer.
