Just finished the Hydrafacial with Rowena, and really have to say how disappointed I was with the service. She was extremely rude, antsy and rushed me out of the room. Didn't properly treat the entire face and did 20 minutes of minutes of red light while doing nothing plus the attitude- For 300$ I don't believe this is appropriate behavior to a customer. I have done many facials and medi- spa treatments before and haven't experienced this type of attitude towards a client.

I got my first facial about a year ago with Rowena and I’ve been coming back every month since! Her attention and care is noticeable in how she transforms my skin. I had horrible acne when I first saw her and now it’s completely cleared and I just see her for maintenance. So impressed with the results!

Can't recommend Rowena enough! I have been seeing her since I was a teenager with hormonal acne. In my thirties now and have more mature, sensitive skin (still hormonal). She always knows what to do and what the skin needs. I've tried other facialists and other kinds of facials but always find myself back here.

I’ve been seeing Rowena for the last year or so and my skin has never looked better! Her facials are amazing, my skin often looks better even that day. Seeing her regularly has transformed my skin. She’s also lovely to chat with as she does the facial!

Great experience. She’s so bubbly and easy going. Her room is very clean. Her work is precise and it never hurts. I’ve experienced many facials with Mario Badescu, Trish McEvoy and The Cow Shed and Rowena outshines them all. ;)

Rowena is a lovely-bubbly lady. She thoroughly cleansed my skin with her extraordinary extracting skill. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but had to revisit her after witnessing amazing result upon my skin. After our second session, I knew I made an excellent choice again. The redness lasts about three days, but your skin will magically heal without any scars or wounds in a week. Be patient and get excited to see the amazing result! :DD

Rowena is simply the best. I have entrusted her with my facials for a decade, maybe longer. She's helped me manage my acne and age from my 20s to my 30s. Her hydro facials as well as the traditional facial are incredible and incredibly effective. Even with a gentle touch, her extractions are the most thorough and efficient you'll find.

rowena was great! i had been hoping for deep extractions (vs. a surface level fix) and that's exactly what i got. she was also knowledgeable about skin and not trying to sell me on specific products. very friendly!

I have been meaning to post a great review for the best esthetician in NYC! I have been getting facials since college and have tried multiple spas and all sorts of services. I then met Rowena 15 years ago through my wonderful dermatologist, Dr Sherwin Parikh, and have been a loyal client since then. I don’t know what she does but my skin has been amazing since I have been regularly coming to her. It could be her magic touch but her facials are just spot on. I used to have very troubled skin but after her deep cleaning, it’s just wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend her! You won’t regret it!

I’m 55 and have been going to Rowena for about 15 years. Although Rowena has some high profile clients, and the charge for her facial isn’t small, I’m a normal person employed in the public service who doesn’t even wear make up or buy new clothes regularly. But my skin matters to me. And Rowena gets that. So I get a wonderful, thorough, deep pore, facial cleaning from Rowena about 6 times a year. She’s gentle and funny, and supremely kind.

Rowena does a fantastic job! I had my first Deep Pore Cleansing Facial with her a few months ago and she was very kind and focused. She had good recommendations for keeping my skin clear and recommended drinking a lot of water before my next facial, which is great advice to make the facial better/less painful! I will be continuing to see Rowena for the facials. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been getting facials from Rowena in the Tribeca Skin Center for 12 years and she never disappoints. She thoroughly massages my face - she has made my headaches go away - hydrates, cleanses, exfoliates, puts on a cleansing mask, and moisturizes. Her expertise, however, lies in extracting the impurities from clogged pores. Some aestheticians believe this can be harmful to the skin, but my skin has never suffered in Rowena’s delicate hands. In fact, the procedure keeps my pores clean and tiny. My skin is always supple and smooth after her treatments. I go about every 3-4 months. The ambience in her very clean studio is also relaxing, with soft music and dim lighting, that my stress simply melts away. I don’t know what I would do without Rowena. 5+ stars!
