Cvetelina (Lina) is the best stylist I have ever met. She is not only talented and professional, but also kind and genuine. She can make anyone, even people not used to salons, feel comfortable. She transformed my frazzled, mutant-zebra hair—distressed from various drugstore highlighting kits, dyes, and DIY bleaches—into shiny, healthy, hair, beautifully cut, colored, and styled. She also gave me volume where I have hair loss. Also, whereas my scalp usually acts up after I color my hair myself, it felt calm and cool in her hands. She is a true maestra. She is very experienced, has an artist’s intuition and an eye for detail—myriad stars.

There was lovely conversation with the hairdresser I got, Medina, who unfortunately gave me a very uneven cut that looks nothing like what we agreed on. I came here since it looked like a nice place & a bit more expensive for what I imaged would be a better cut. The results were far from what we talked about & very uneven. Which I then had to get my hair cut off much more at a different place. I was super upset since this was a transition from long to super short hair & Medina was more present with our conversation than my hair. I kept the from long for styling purposes by the amount of long hair she kept was extremely uneven & not even in straight lines. There is a photo of the extra long pieces we had to cut to get the sides even & straight. Along with what we showed her & what we got. After a few days of processing the disappointment I contacted them about potential refund of the $80. They said “my kind of people” always ask for refunds & said they would mail a check. It’s been a while & they never sent it or responded to my follow up messages. The whole thing was handled really poorly.

I called for an appt..they told me they would have an a stylist call me. She never did, and when I called they said the stylist had no time. Had I not called..no one was going to tell me no one was available. Bad customer service

I made an appt. With Robert at Rua for hair color. Robert corrected my cut and did my color. It was fantastic! I am going to Robert for ever!!

Hair stylist wet my face while she was washing my hair. I went for a haircut and my hair is all chopped, so uneven! Very unprofessional!

Came for a wax. By Miss P waxing. Miss P is awesome guys. Don't be scared of some wax. Doesn't hurt. Place is clean and looks great inside. Parking is not as bad as in most places on the BlVD. Parking is available behind the building. Small lot, but never had a issue with getting a spot.

Great experience for the first time using Rua Salon. my hairstylist was awesome , his name is John Darin with so much knowledge in hair and excellent personality warm and friendly , I give him A+ . I highly recommend.

Had a great experience with Madina! She did haircut + color + highlight for me. As someone who just moved from nyc to studio city I do feel her skillset is like the best stylist who did my hair in East village. This place is superb with coffee/tea/muffins, I sit there for 4 hours so really appreciate some snacks during the process. Overall, I’ll recommend this place, especially Madina. She’s just awesome!

If you're looking for an experienced waxer/esthetician...Ana is the best!!!! I had my first Brazilian (hard wax) and VAGACIAL today!!! Wow! The whole experience from start to finish was nothing short than amazing! The bathroom was clean. Fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels. And all the extras you might need. From Wipes, tampons, to Poopy spray. As I entered her treatment room I immediately felt at ease as she set the vibe with some calming music and a bottle of water. She described what she was doing every step of the way. Which helps because I was a little nervous. The whole service lasted about an hour. But it didn't even feel that long. Convo was flowing so good that it was over before I even knew it. My lady bits feel so smooth. I will definitely make this part of my self love/care routine from now on. Note: This place is located on Ventura boulevard (super busy) Arrive early so that you can find parking and still be able to make it to your appointment on time.

I got my hair done by Kaley and she exceeded all expectations! I have blonde hair that has been previously damaged so I am always a skeptic but oh my gosh my hair has never felt better. She's so sweet and funny and the whole visit was so much fun and my hair is thanking me! Would recommended her every single time.

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRID DONT GO THERE!!!!!! I went in on October 9th with ALYSSA for a Mauve Metallic color from Guy Tang's color line ( I had recently seen a video of it and wanted to get the color). Her and the Owner both had ensured that they would not ruin my hair. I got there at 9 for my appointment and she started to use Olaplex for my hair with bleach even though my hair was not in the condition to have bleach put on it and then left me sitting there for about an hour and when I asked her why she said "my boss went to go buy the color" LIKE WHAT I THOUGHT YOUD HAVE THE COLOR! then it turns out they had bought a brown and my hair came out brown when it was supposed to be pink. They then knew I wasn't happy and kept insulting me and she said " YOU WOULDNT KNOW BECAUSE YOU DIDNT GO TO COSMOTOLOGY SCHOOL" AND KEPT EXPERIMENTING ON MY HAIR AND TURNED IT PURPLE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. ALYSSA CONTINUED TO SHAMPOO MY HEAD AND INJURED MY SCALP IN THE PROCESS I COULDNT FEEL IT FOR TWO WEEKS. THEY THEN RUDELY SUGGESTED THAT I LEAVE AND WANTED ME TO PAY 200 DOLLARS FOR MY HAIR EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DARK PURPLE AND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LIGHT PINKISH. DONT GO HERE!1!1! THEYLL BURN YOUR SCALP AND GIVE YOU SORES. I WAS THERE FOR ABOUT 9 HOURS!! IT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE
