I love, applaud and would give a 5-star reference for every one of the front arena team members - they so get it and are always so authentically warmly welcoming to everyone who passes through the Salon doors. I know it is sincere as I am at the Salon about every 15 to 20 days and I experience it and observe all others who enter and interact with the front arenas team receive exceptional care, attention and responsiveness (I adore Raini❤️), however . . . my primary commitment and loyalty to Ruiz Salon West End is based on my experience with Salon professional stylist extraordinaire FERRENCE! It is always an outstanding colorworks result every time, and when her schedule allows a fabulous perfection blow-dry! This time Ferrence exceeded perfection with her customized color/toner configuration for my hair and it turned out magnificently! Alexia provided support with color/toner processing, shampooing/conditioning with all the exquisite trademark Ruiz Salon experience: hot towels, reviving fragrance, neck massage, arm and hand moisturizing massage! Please communicate to Alexia that she blow-dried/styled my hair beautifully - I was "blown" away by her talent with the brush and dryer and I left the salon overwhelmed with the end results! Today, two days later, my hair looks as thought I just exited the Salon!

Sasha always gets my color perfect and makes sure the experience is 10/10 from start to finish every appointment. She’s great at advising me on what to do with my color that will compliment me best. If you go to Ruiz definitely book with Sasha!!!

This is simply the best salon experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been going there for years! The attentiveness to service has never waned! Alex is my stylist at the West End location so I highly recommend her from the wonderful shampoo with head massage to the final moment of a perfect cut. Everyone is so lovely, and it is simply a wonderful experience every single time!

Short wait. Choice of wine, coffee, tea or water . Beautiful salon. Professional staff. Stylist gave the best haircut of my life. Nearly a week later the cut has enabled me to eliminate time consuming maintenance.

I was fortunate enough to spend majority of my life getting my hair styled by the renowned Birmingham, MI stylist Bashar Kallabat who was tragically murdered in 2020. I loved him like family and even flew in from across the country to see him as I trusted him with my hair like no other. Since his death, I’ve spent years trying to find a salon that made me feel as great as he did when I walked out of the salon, but to no avail. Until I discovered Ruiz Salon. If you’re searching for a salon with skilled & knowledgeable stylists in the Austin area who make you feel welcomed with their personalized warm customer service, then try Ruiz Salon on North Lamar. You won’t be disappointed. Ask for Shani. She’s the best colorists I’ve had in years. Looking forward to going back.

Sasha melted my hair off at the root during my bleach and tone and I’ve been left on read by the salon and the stylist doesn’t text back. I was told she is the second best stylist at the salon with 10 years of experience at this location. If you care about your hair, know they don’t stand by their work. EDIT: I didn’t want to go “even lighter” but actually needed my bleach and tone corrected because the person who did it left it yellow and brassy (see photos) which Sasha agreed looked messed up. Not being charged doesn’t make a difference when you’re bald. I was NOT told this was a risk!! The victim blaming is outrageous! A stylist should never do a processing if there is a chance that you will be left bald! I was blindsided and NOT warned my hair would break AT THE ROOT leaving me BALD. NO STRAND TEST WAS DONE, I would have allowed her to do one, and if she said that my hair was at risk of breaking off I wouldn’t have gotten the service and risked it! When she mentioned my hair needed treatment I asked her point blank if my hair would break off and she said no, and if that were the case she would’ve told me and we would’ve had a “long conversation” beforehand to absolve her of responsibility if I insisted on doing it. This wasn’t my fault! I asked for the BEST colorist and that person was booked out so they gave me their second best / most-experienced stylist. I have only seen professionals since 2017! I can’t believe I’m being blamed in the business response. Lastly, I was sent home with some fancy conditioner, that is NOT a plan for my “hair to bounce back”! I literally have a buzzcut I didn’t ask for, how do I bounce back with some lotion for my hair? Take responsibility and stand by your employee’s work, I am not a hairstylist nor can I see into the future to even guess in my wildest dreams I’d be bald after going in to get my roots done with the second-best stylist with 10 years of experience at a well-reviewed salon.

Me atendieron tarde casi 20 min después de la cita que me dieron por teléfono, el lavado estuvo bien , relajante y esmerado pero el secado fatal me dejaron el cabello húmedo y sin pulir las raices , cuando le pedí que me alisara la raíz de la frente me dijo q eso tenía un costo adicional de 25 dólares Tengo el cabello liso ni siquiera que lo tuviera rizado Yo no lo recomiendo

Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. They left me waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time when I went in 10 minutes before my appointment. They screwed up my hair and chopped it horribly and three people had to come try to fix it. Never go there only one girl who cuts the hair looked like she knew what she was doing and tried to fixed my hair a bit but the damage was done.
