Very unique experience! You will love this place, as long as you go in with the right expectations. They keep the structure similar to what I imagine it was 100 years ago- it has a very old school feel, and is not renovated/ modern by any means. If you can appreciate it for its history and authenticity, then you’ll love it. There were 3 saunas, 2 steam rooms, showers, and a cold plunge! I went on a weekend around 5pm and while it was packed, there was still enough room to do everything!

Weekend was very packed and staff was very rude to some other people. They kicked some people out. They could have handled it nicer. I felt very bad for them and not sure I will be back as a result.

In the addition to an unique for North America Russian style hot steam bath (banya) 205F/96C and ice cold 38F/4C pool - an Authentic Russian Kitchen with variates of dishes that certainly worth a try!

Authentic NYC Gem.Highly recommend. Stop in get some heat. Fantastic masseuses. Platza treatment. You haven’t lived until u experience it. They have a great kitchen. My favorite is the borscht.

It's one of my favorite places to go in NYC. I like the fact that I don't have to carry a towel shorts, shower shoes or any of that kind of stuff, because everything is there for you. Love that place!

There's a man who goes regularly who likes to scream and Yell about women, gays, trans and black ppl. He picks a fight every room he walks into. Even when I tried avoiding him, I can hear him screaming at someone down the hall. NOT relaxing. He Ruined my first time here and I won't go back.

After a long week in NYC, this was the perfect way to decompress and flush out all of the toxins that my body absorbed. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water! (Also sold at desk) My favorite aspect of this bathhouse is the freedom to go to switch between the various saunas and steam rooms; and there are so many options! Want some good scents? Go to the aromatherapy steam room. Want some dry, warm air? Redwood room. How about some really hot air with the choice of throwing a cold bucket of water on yourself for a cooldown? Russian room! Feeling hot? Cold plunge!! You may be feeling really hungry afterwards. I recommend the borscht!

BEWARE I bought a 10 admissions card but they did not tell me it only works half the time, for the "Boris shift" only. They won't accept it and they won't offer a return. You have to tell the customer that what they're buying only works half the time! Besides messed up operations and poor communication, the bathhouse experience itself is excellent.

In general, reading the reviews I would like to say that they are all bought. I came to the bathhouse for the first time and honestly I am surprised how it works and it was not closed after the inspections. The first thing that offended me was that I went down to the sauna and wanted to go into the steam room, but through the glass door I saw a man sitting masturbating, is this even legal in public places?!?!!! I had to go to another steam room. Further odor inside the steam room rotten boards, towels all already throw away time they stink and the smell of sweat is impossible to wash out of them. The slates are also long overdue for renewal, they are not even washed before new people. In general, it is better to go to another bathhouse! Visiting this bathhouse will cause discomfort and disgust.

The baths are amazing, but so is the food here! The barley mushroom soup was hearty and comforting, and later,I also tried the beef stroganoff, which was tender and delicious. There's also an excellent beer selection. Overall, this place is amazing and don't overlook the great food as part of the experience!

Visited today. Checked in with this don't-ask-me-questions type of girl at the desk. $65 for entrance. This place ( on my personal opinion) is overrated. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place where to relax...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE..It's noisy. The talkative girls in there, were so annoying, they never stopped chatting and even more annoying, when they talk with that fake Californian accent. I jumped from one room to another looking for a quiet time, but it was impossible. This place is mostly for going with friends, having a few drinks and. hang out at the sauna/steam rooms.. it's like going to a bar...

Actually enjoyed the experience. The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious, and the facilities were clean. Apparently there was a board game night there too. Perfect spot for a date or to go solo.

I love this place … great for my physical and mental health!!! It has a cult following for a reason. Do yourself a favor and send care with a great Shvitz. Lunch is on point too!!!
