Best place to get your hair done. Friendly staff that listens to your wants and needs. Never had a bad experience. Billy (the owner) is my stylist. He goes above and beyond to do as I request. Never had a salon this wonderful. If your looking for a place to make your hair stand our in a good way this is it.

Amazing salon, would absolutely recommend!! The atmosphere is great, they work with walk-ins, the plants are gorgeous and well taken care of, and the price reflects the care and quality that you receive! I got a haircut from Tabatha and truly had a wonderful experience. 10/10

Definitely the best haircut I’ve ever received in my life. The only downfall is it took three hours.. but it obviously didn’t bother me too badly because I booked my second haircut pretty much immediately

Really nice atmosphere! It had a pleasant smell (I'm guessing essential oils) and the staff seemed friendly from the brief period I spent in the salon.

What a cool place!! My stylist Tabatha moved to this location a few months ago. So I finally got to check the new salon out and I have to say I absolutely loved it! It was such a hip place! Not to mention it smelled AMAZING! They offered me hot tea and or sparkling water. It was just a really laid back place. Made for a wonderful appointment. I was so relaxed when I walked out of there. Omg, and I don’t know about you but every time I get my hair done and they have to wash it in those sinks my neck always ends up hurting. Well, not here!! They had the coolest sinks. That was the best shampooing I have ever had in a salon. Natalie-I’m never gonna let that go!! So happy I got to meet you!! So Tabatha has been doing my hair for a few years now….I won’t let anyone else touch it. So if your needing a new look, some highlights or some extensions…..she’s your girl!! She does an outstanding job!

Always a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very peaceful. Not loud like many salons. Johnathan is a magician with color and an expert on cuts for thin hair. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Aubrey for highlights and hairstyling for a while now, and I am always so pleased by what a good job she does. I also get a lot of compliments on my hair. She’s super nice and a great conversationalist, so our appointments are a breeze. I love that they offer scheduling on weekends and evenings and that you can schedule via text. 10/10, would definitely recommend Ruth + Newby, go see Aubrey!

Bekah is amazing!!! After moving from Nashville and away from my favorite hair salon, I was hesitant to find a new salon here in Knoxville. A friend told me about Ruth and Newby and I’m so glad she did! Bekah really listened, took her time, and cut my hair with such intentionality. I am so happy with my hair!

Fantastic salon. Bekah is a great stylist. I am very pleased with my cut. Layers, I have found, are always difficult to do well, and she nailed it! Should also mention their new shampoo/scalp massage person (I'm not confident enough I could spell his name correctly) is very sweet and very good. I can't say "for the price" because it was actually very reasonable.

I can't say enough good things about Ruth + Newby. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. Bekah does an excellent jobm start to finish. She takes time to find out what you want, what exactly you like about a style, and she works tirelessly to achieve what you're looking for. They always make recommendations for styling products but are never pushy about it. If you're looking for a laid back, beautiful salon with genuine and talented stylists, this is the spot.

Today was my first visit to this salon and I loved it!! It was clean, modern and up to date, great service, prices are more than reasonable for everything that you get. My hairstylist, Dexter B. was amazing!! Looking forward to my next cut :)
