All the negative reviews mean something. My husband had a bad experience here. His stylist was late and did not properly do interlocking when he had his hair retwisted, but charged him full price. On top of that management was rude when he inquired about his stylist's arrival time. My recommendation is to go elsewhere with better service.

I love my experience at the SAGE Beauty Lounge! I came in due to an another appointment being cancelled at the last minute. Nicole W. understood my circumstance and made me feel extremely comfortable. I also made a mistake and booked the wrong style and Nicole reassured me that she had me and I felt that!! Nicole I appreciate you and thank you for your patience with me! I’ll definitely be back!

My recent visit was my 3rd time using their services, and quite frankly my last! The first time I visited them for my starter locs I had a great experience which made me want to come back for a retwist. The second time I booked an appointment for my boyfriend and I it was just a terrible experience. The lady that was supposed to be servicing us refused to do his hair because he had dandruff and as we were waiting for his hair to dry she was on the phone telling her kids to get ready because she was on the way as if I didn’t have an appointment either. The 3rd and last time I visited them they were very rough on my hair and scalp and I asked for a style as well and they wouldn’t do it because I didn’t book online for it. All in all I would NOT recommend this place for hair care needs, just another glamorize black owned business just looking for money and clout.

Save your money and your time. I started going To this place a month ago and every time I would go the person doing my hair would always be stand-offish and rude. I ignored it, because I always got Simple styles and was in and out. (The only nice and customer service oriented person in that whole place is a girl named Adana). But a week agoI needed an updo for work and had already paid a deposit for one appt, then had to book another appt earlier for that same day to which I couldn’t cancel the previous appt. So I then had to make another deposit. I received a text message asking if I could come earlier anyway, so this ended up working out. When I got there the lady said she would call me when she needed me so I sat outside and waiting she was talking to some people at her front desk, she said goodbye to them and then told me “ come on, and let’s go , because I have to get out of here”. Anyway I went up to her and told her about my other appt that I rescheduled and ask if not a refund than can I use that deposit money for an up-do, to which she said she didn’t have time. The I asked if I could have my deposit back for that other appt, to which she said no because that appt took the spot from someone else. I wondered how it took the spot from someone else when I got a text to come in early, and she let it slip that she needed to leave after me. She told me the website states no refunds. During this entire conversation, there was not even the smallest amount of customer service or even people skills. I said forget it and found a new shop to do my hair and the energy and customer service that I receive in this new place is great. It doesn’t matter if you can’t do something, but the way you respond to people and attitude matters as a business owner. If you don’t like people , don’t run a business where you have to deal with people. So if you don’t want rudeness or attitude then spend your money on black owned business where the owners and employees actually know what customer service is.

She is extremely rude and all I was doing was asking questions about getting my son's hair retwisted. Do not let this lady work on your hair or loves ones hair she has bad energy and a bad spirit and you do not want that transferring to you. Believe all the other reviews about the rudeness, attitude and just the negative spirit of whoever that lady working is. I was just asking a question and she like I'm doing something wrong. This place is a scam and definitely not a beauty lounge.. Such a dark place and bad energy. Sooo.. this was my first and last experience with this place. Google needs a minus star button cause they would definitely get one! If you have the patience to deal with rudeness and terrible customer service then go for it otherwise, Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else. I should have seen the 🚩 flag when I went in one day to ask for a brochure and a lady that was doing hair said “just scan the barcode on the wall” as if I was bothering her.I ignored it and scheduled anyway. I scheduled my appointments using their app for 1015a was there at 9:45a, of course i get there mall was closed doesn't open until 12. I reach out, text didn't get in touch with anyone until 1020 who stated they would send a message and someone would contact me. I sat and waited..reached out again spoke to NiCOLE who was rude, spoke over me and unapologetic. She has a VERY nasty attitude and didn’t care to explain how I could just get my deposit back etc. I will take the L on the “little” deposit, since she act as if she didn't want to give it back.I am upset that her customer service and attitude toward the whole situation was terrible and could have been resolved. Just do not go there.

Used to love this place cause they had good service, I drive 49 min just to go here but it’s my 1st time back in months and I scheduled an appointment with Nicole W and paid for the reservation, the stylist isn’t to be found and the shop has the gate closed. And I had to call a complete different location to get an answer. If you’re going to go here don’t go to the greenbrier location save your time and money.

don't waste your time or money. appointment time means nothing to this business the owner is very rude and doesn't care about the customers. I originally submitted feedback on the website before resulting in posting my reviews everywhere. the response to my feed back was " sorry for the inconvenience but you agreed to this" there is no accountability and being told that their short staffed is not an excuse when you book appointments. why allow appointments to be booked back to back vs blocking time slots after a lengthy appointment is booked??? this is the 3rd time my husband has had to cancel plans because they told him he had to wait an hour plus after an appointment was booked and deposit paid. a deposit typically secures your appointment for when its book.. but they require a deposit then say its just an estimate. this business is a JOKE and I can't see it being around long with the service they have offered. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST!

If I could give -5 stars, I WOULD! Long story short we’ve used them maybe about 2/3 times previous because of my husband’s long work schedule they did hair on sats. and suns. so it worked out for his time off (when they were in the mall; although they were late almost every time then smdh). But we kept going back but ANYMORE! My husband had a 4pm appointment on yesterday at the location they’ve since moved to and my husband stayed there till almost 5p and continued to call, text, and email. NO ONE WAS THERE. NOT ONE LIGHT ON. NOT ONE DOOR UNLOCKED. NOT ONE PHONE CALL OR TEXT WAS RETURNED AND THEY DIDNT REFUND THE $10 DEPOSIT. Last strike with them. BUSINESSES LIKE THIS MAKE IT HARDER ON BLACK PPL IN BUSINESS THAT CAN BE ON TIME AND SHOW UP FOR THE ACTUAL APPOINTMENT AND FOR THE ONES WHO DO THE RIGHT THING AND THE RIGHT WAY AND COMMUNICATE ETC. THATS WHY SHE CANT KEEP NO ONE WORKING FOR HER NOW. SHE DONT HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WHATSOEVER. ILL BE THANKFUL WHEN BUSINESSES LIKE HERS GO OUT OF BUSINESS FOR GOOD!

My stylist got there 20 minutes late for my appointment. I couldn't contact anyone from the establishment and when she walked in she didn't even address it. When she washed my hair she barely scrubbed my scalp at all. I could still scratch off buildup on my scalp. I wasn't given a cape to cover my clothes and so they got covered in water and gel. I've had my locs retwisted at many different stylists over the years and none of them have been as careless and painful as this stylist. Im not sure if she was rushing because she knew she was behind but she was being so careless with my hair and it was extremely painful. So painful that even the next day I still had a headache from her retwist, never happened before. Sure the prices are affordable here but they clearly don't value your time when you setup an appointment and they do not care about the health of your locs. I dont think I'll be returning to this location.

I have thought about coming here on several occasions however, after not just reading the reviews but also how the OWNER responds to these reviews is not how I would invest my money. It's important to remain humble and understand that it's your customers who keep your business going so value that. This causes you to miss alot of loyal customers when you respond to post that don't deserve your response.
