Absolutely love my experiences at Sage! Very clean and cute salon. David is the blonde GOD!!! He takes such great care of my hair, making the health of my hair his number one priority, while also making sure I feel beautiful when I leave. I’ve noticed a huge difference in the health of my hair since going to David- which isn’t easy to find being a blonde! Book an appointment! You won’t regret it!

I scheduled a visit to Sage for my wedding day to get my hair styled and my mother's. When I scheduled, I was under the impression we would be getting our hair done at the same time. I found out the day of that was not the case. The owner text a day after I made the appointment asking if we could come in between 9-9:30 to make sure we would be out by 11. So when we walk in we were only greeted by David. Who was wonderful! I give him 10 stars. The person that owns the salon never said hi, thanks for coming in - nothing. So once inside, I asked David if he thought he would have time to blow out my daughter's hair (she's 7). He said yes. My daughter has super curly hair, and a lot of it. The owner just kept making the comment to David "I guess you took on more than you thought". That was very rude and unprofessional. During the time my daughter is sitting in the chair (on top of a step stool because the owner does not have proper equipment for children) she was watching a children's show on my phone. Once the blow dryer turns off, she rudely says "that volume needs to be turned down " then goes in the back and blares the volume on the radio. And as cold as it was that day she kept opening the door for long periods of time, I'm sitting there wrapped up in a sweater physically shivering. David asked her if she could blow my mother's hair out and add the curls to help with time. She burned my mother's ear. Left a blister. My mom was trying to explain what she wanted, a simple twist from each side of her head and brought together in the back. She said she didn't know how to do braids or twists. Your a licensed stylist that cannot do the simplest hair style? I have been to many salons in my life and never have I ever experienced anything like this. I would love to take my daughter back to David because he did an excellent job on her curly hair. But I refuse to do business with people like her that is so rude and unprofessional. It definitely was not the relaxing experience I was looking for before I said "I do". This is definitely not a place you want to take your children. Although she lists children's cuts. Just the whole vibe she gave off was so stand-offish like it was a problem we were there. I know I am not the first person that has experienced this. But it's a shame for David that he has to deal with it because he truly is a wonderful stylist!

My first visit was simply to cut and donate my hair. However, Kelly is incredible and also kind! I now go and get my hair cut with Kelly every time. It is the best deal for men's cuts in Charlotte!

Natalie did an amazing job on my hair today. She cut long layers and framed my face giving me a great look! I will definitely be a repeat customer going forward! Update: I visited the salon for a 2nd time and this time Natalie wasn't available so another stylist cut my hair and it was horrible.... my bangs were cut super short and it has taken months for it to grown back out. The lady cutting my hair was upset over an event that she had agreed to do with another local business who bailed at the last minute and she took her frustration out on my hair... also made for a very uncomfortable experience. If you go to the location ask for Natalie. I'm leaving my rating because it is based on Natalie's performance. But I will not be going back to this salon.

I recently visited Sage Salon for the first time to have my hair colored. I wasn't sure exactly what color I would like, so Kelly helped me choose. She made some suggestions, which I liked, and the end results were amazing!! I absolutely loved the color of my hair. Went in gray and came out with this lovely, soft shade of red. Kelly knows what she's doing...read her info on the website. Visit here and you won't be disappointed.

I put Sage Salon & Studio above all other salons for several reasons. I have never had a bad hair cut or color and in fact I swear they just keep getting better. I love that it is a full service salon that doesn't send you to a different person for color. Lastly the atmosphere, over the years I've known Kelly we've developed a friendship, that goes beyond a client relationship. I'll never go anywhere else.

My experience at Sage Salon & Studio was relaxing and enjoyable. I received exceptional service and was extremely happy with the outcome of my hair. Kelly Elliott is a very talented and amazing stylist. She was very friendly and clear about what she had in mind for my hair. The appearance of the salon itself was very clean and pristine with great natural lighting!! I enjoyed checking out the various pieces of art created by local artist set up around the salon as well. I will definitely suggest Sage Salon & Studio to friends and family, and will be scheduling another appointment for myself with Kelly soon!

Nadine has been my stylist for several years. So happy she has a new home as cute as Sage Salon & Studio. This is a small, locally owned Aveda salon centrally located in Uptown. The atmosphere is very relaxing and I can't tell you how great it is having your hair done with NATURAL light. I know seems like a no brainer huh? Nadine gives great attention to detail and is an excellent colorist. Please go see her now! Tips: 1. Parking can be an issue - when booking ask what is your best option as the parking garage that's most central is still under construction. 2. Be prepared for fabulous hair!
