Venus worked with me to help me know how I wanted my haircut. I asked for a Bob and she asked me various questions to get the right haircut that I wanted. She was very patient with me and was very understanding. I love my haircut.

Found Izzie after a botched "trim" of my bob haircut at a barbers that had left me with a blocky, uneven cube of hair that was NOT flattering. 😅 I had a hard time articulating the direction I wanted to go in beyond "please make my hair look good" but Izzie took it and ran with it, giving me one of my favorite haircuts in years. Izzie has a great attitude and impeccable eye for flattering cuts. Everyone I saw during my time there walked out with great hair, so Izzie seems to be in good company of solid stylists. I'll definitely be back, great work!

I came in from out of town. They got me in same day and I’m blown away. I had a haircut that needed to be fixed from another salon and this is perfect! This is one of the best haircuts that I’ve gotten in years. Venus really listened and I’ll be back for sure.

Oh my goodness I could not recommend Madison at SAGE + SERPENT more! As a girl with very challenging hair (very fine, curly, breaks easily and grows slow), I seldom get the luxury of haircuts I’m genuinely excited about. Today, I sat down in Madison’s chair and not only felt so heard and understood from the start, but the finished product exceeded my expectations so wildly. Best haircut I’ve ever received and am stoked to work with Madison again to keep digging more into my natural texture 🫶

This review is for Whitney Martin: As a guy in my 30s, I'm particular about my hair in the sense that all I know is that it's brown and I like it to look good. Whitney came highly recommended from my prior stylist when I moved to Denver. Since then she's been the only person cutting my hair for over 2 years. I sit down in my chair and Whitney makes my hair look good every time. On top of Whitney's skill and professionalism, she's an excellent conversationalist. It's a treat to myself when I go in for my haircut. I only hesitate writing this review because it might make it harder for her to fit me into her busy schedule.

Aliscia has been my hairstylist for nearly a decade and has never let me down! I'm the pickiest client and she always takes her time to hear me out and come up with a custom formulation for my ever changing hair color. She is a wiz with the scizzzz and an amazing colorist! I will never go to anyone else as long as Aliscia is in business! 💇‍♂️❤️

I don’t care what you read but pay attention to this right here right now. Aliscia is one of the best people i’ve ever met in my life. I have always had issues with my hair. Color never looking right or the cut being awful, but Ali was literally my savior. She is knowledgeable in curly cuts and vivid color. I’ve gotten my hair cut by her for about a year and a half now and every time i leave her chair i am ECSTATIC. Ali knows exactly what she is doing and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. I may be a little biased because we were in beauty school together but she is the most kind, talented, selfless person i’ve ever met and she always makes sure that a client leaves happy. Leaving a bad review doesn’t make you a good person or “helpful”, especially one full of lies. ALI YOU ROCK!

Madison is the first person to really explain to me how to care for my wavy hair. While providing the most fun haircut I’ve ever had, Madison also educated me on how to style my hair and what products would be safest and most effective for my hair type. Do not see Aliscia Handshaw, she will say she specializes in “lived in color” and “blonding” but she will turn your hair orange and cause foil bleeding. Called her old salon and found out she was fired and suggested for additional education and declined. Wasted hundreds of dollars and now have to pay even more to color correct my hair. :( Uploaded pics of my orange hair. :( you can see my previously grown out platinum at the bottom (done by another salon) & the top of my hair is orange :(

I followed my stylist, Izzy, from her previous location. This was the first time I’ve been to her new spot! The staff and atmosphere of Sage + Serpent were both amazing. Thank you, Izzy, for slaying my hair per usual, I love it SO MUCH, and thank you to the rest of the staff for being so welcoming, social and cool! Can’t wait to come back.

I’ve gotten my haircut by Amanda twice now and every time it’s exactly what I ask for! I get a ton of layers and I have a side part, so usually hair stylists will cut it unevenly but Amanda kills it every time! So great and worth every penny, even gives me great product recs based on my hair type!

If you go see anyone at this place and you are LGBTQ, find Ricki. I have never been disappointed by their work. They take their time to make sure your hair is perfect. Book them and become a regular.
