I love going to Sahan, because she is the best in Chicago she will get you together her very cheap. I think she does a extremely amazing job. I live in New York now and I will travel all the way to Chicago just to see her again

So I like her brows but as far as hair braiding and waxing? No. I get the feeling she has a colorism complex. I've gotten waxed by her and she used the biggest pieces of strips etc and cause skin damage and bleeding. Shes offered other services and said they were 1 price and then increased the price on me when it was time to pay. Ive asked about hair braiding styles and she acts like she knows whats beat for customers. If i say I want my hair 1 way then listen to me, talk with me, and figure it out with me. Dont tell me to be quiet and brag about your braiding capabilities. It isnt about how well you can braid its about the style that I wanted. I said I wanted it one way and she did something different and kept trying to force me to like it saying "I do this." She also used hair that itched my scalp and I had to take it down in 3 days. I dont recommend her for anything other than brow threading. In/out dont have to speak. Also she plays with peoples time. She'll say she'll be there and then doesnt show. She'll say shes open and isnt. She'll book and pile people on top of each other. Ive called her and she said shes there, i live around the corner so I get there in less than 5 mins and she says she gone. Not a nice person from my experiences with her. She'll talk about Jesus etc but the personality doesnt match.

If you are looking to receive services at a professionally run place of business do not seek out an appointment here for hair braiding services. Sahan booked an appointment for 9:30am with my son this morning and when my son arrived at the shop she was no where to be found. He attempted to call her phone and she did not answer so he called me to see if I had another number for Sahan. I did not as she told me when I called the previous week the number listed on the web is her direct cell number. So I tried to call and text her several times and received no answer. My son waited a half hour and she failed to show up for the appointment she made earlier this week. The only reason we sought out services by Sahan was because she was referred to us by another salon in the same building. But based on reviews on Yelp that complained about Sahan's untimeliness, lack of professionalism, and shady pricing practices I should have known not to have my son seek out services from her salon. Things happen in life and I understand that premise. But at the very least she could have answered the phone or sent a text saying she could not make the appointment and apologize. Time is money and customers have jobs and other obligations which is why they make appointments. We always complain about how other races mistreat us but it never ceases to amaze me how we treat each other. Common courtesy and respect go a long way. The unfortunate thing is others will still go to her even though she lacks professionalism and because of that she will likely not change her practices. I however, realize that I can choose where I want to spend my money and I've taught my son the same lesson. So we're happy to spend our money somewhere else where appointments are actually honored and common courtesy and respect are a way of life. If nothing else I hope this review prevents someone else from going through the same headache.

Sahan is the Eyebrow Doctor...Period! She also does an amazing job with Brazilians. She gets every hair and even wears special glasses to ensure the quality of her work. I went to her for years and since I've relocated I visit her every time I come home. Best threading and waxing services I have ever received.

I came in around Christmas looking for Betty O’s spa. I had never been to either spa, but they had signs leading to the basement. I followed the sign. When I arrived I asked for Betty O’s spa, they said they were Betty O’s. I purchased the gift card, to later learn they lied. They are not affiliated with Betty O’s at all. WTF

Only place I go for eyebrow threading. But I the wait is ridiculous. Expect to wait an hour or more. The owners are nice but can be a bit unprofessional. You shouldn't have personal calls while with a client. Despite the flaws, I'll still support Sahan

She won't take eyebrow appointments, she always tells me to just come. I show up at 6pm(she closes @6:30) I am ringing the bell until 6:25. I have traveled from the Northside mind you, I come to find out she was close. I do not care how good her work is, her lack of professionalism isn't worth it.
