It's been about ~6 weeks since my wedding and I've debated for awhile how I was going to write my review for me and my bridal party. Overall, I think this group of ladies was very professional, but I am disappointed with my hair and make-up execution. When I reached out to Salon 1|4 to do my trials, I didn't see these two items as being missed, but were unfortunately missed on my wedding day. Malia did my hair and although the curls are beautiful, she didn't part my hair straight. I have naturally dark hair and very pale skin, so my crooked hair part was very noticeable in many of my wedding photos. I did tell Malia too what kind of part I had, but she didn't bother to straighten it. Tara did my make-up, which she is very good at! The big miss on her end is that my eyeliner and/or fake lashes were not even across my eyes. Again, this was very noticeable in many up closed wedding photos of mine. It's really a big bummer and makes me sad looking through my photos. We didn't have mirrors in our getting ready space, which I regret significantly, but regardless, I really wish these ladies did a better job double checking their work before calling me done. I spent over $2000 on hair and make-up for 8 ladies, including myself. I was certainly expecting a more polished finish. I'd recommend looking at another salon or company before considering Salon 1|4 for your wedding.

Okay I just have to brag on Salon 1|4 stylist Deakin Axtell. He is amazing with cuts, styling and color! I have super enjoyed the styles we’ve tried out on me and the color he recommended recently was fantastic. I got so many compliments on it and the way it’s grown out has been just lovely. Can’t say enough great things about the products he’s recommended for my hair too. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a fantastic listener/conversationalist and just overall a great person.

Went here for a hair and makeup trial for my upcoming wedding. I left very happy! Malia did my hair and Tara perfected my makeup. They did a great job listening when I explained my insecurities and took that into consideration with their execution. It was an easy decision to book them for my wedding at the end of February. Everyone was so friendly, professional, and made me feel and look beautiful!

I had Salon 1|4 on my wedding day and Kortney and her team did an amazing job! I have short hair so I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do with it for the day but Kortney made feel confident that she would be able to do my hair and she did! I felt beautiful and it stayed all day! Her team were so much fun and they were very timely and even finished early with about 14 people. They made my bridal party look stunning and everyones hair lasted all day - even in snow! I would be book Salon 1|4 for hair for your 2023 wedding!

Love this place ❤️ Their staff are friendly and helpful. Tara is amazing when it comes to helping you choose colors and showing you make up techniques. Malia is awesome if you need a cut, color or style. For you hair or make up this is the place to go.

Salon 1|4 is my happy place! Kortney and her team are always professional but yet keep a fun happy vibe at the salon. The salon is open and inviting as well as clean and modern. I have dyed my hair every color of the rainbow and Kortney has made it look amazing each time. I have also visited other stylists in the salon when I forget to make an appt with Kortney and they have done a great job as well. I always look forward to my next trip there!

This is the best salon in Indy! My regular stylist is the owner Kortney but I’ve had other stylists for updos, blowouts and reschedules and they are all amazing! The makeup artist Tara is also phenomenal! Highly recommended for all your hair and makeup needs.

I have been looking for a new salon for awhile now. A friend of mine recommended Salon 14 and I gave it a try. I have seen two different stylists and have loved both of them! They do a great job of listening to what you want and making sure you are happy when you leave! The salon itself is super nice and has a very welcoming atmosphere! The products that they use are made with safer ingredients, which is also something I was looking for!!

Salon 1/4 is a perfect place for all your salon needs. Super cute interior with customer service and experience that is unlike any other. They offer a variety of services for all your needs. I’ve been going to Kortney for awhile now and she’s amazing. I would trust any one of her stylists with my hair.

Salon 14 and Kourtney Norris (the fabulous owner) are the best in Indy in my humble opinion. The salon is so clean, wine on arrival and great atmosphere. Love getting my hair done here and always leave so happy and refreshed!

This place is wonderful! I love how friendly the staff are and I love having Kristina do my hair! I have been going to her for years and have loved everything she does! She is amazing at color, cut, styling and is always fun to talk to! She has done my hair for my wedding, dates, and I always leave feeling so much happier than when I arrived and more confident! A good cut and color makes me feel a million times better!

I had an appointment at the end of the day and I feel like the stylist just really wanted to get out of there. Everything felt really rushed and she was pretty aggressive with brushing and blow drying. I had just gone in for a haircut and the next day my hair looked like I still needed one.

I’ve been attending this salon for a little over a year and a half! I’ve gotten my hair done with many of the stylists and I’ve enjoyed my experience and the finishing look every time! I’m also in love with my brows after the new brow specialist Morgan Johnson got her hands on them. Could not recommend this salon more!
