I made an honest mistake by booking a hair appointment here instead of my usual salon, which shares the same colorist name which is why I didn’t recognize the mistake. I only get waxing services with Olga at Salon 1800—who is fantastic. I called the front desk the same day to cancel when I realized the error and explained the mix-up. They told me I would still be charged the full service fee of $145, and the manager refused to make any exceptions. To avoid wasting the stylist’s time or commission, I asked if I could switch the appointment to a simple trim and blow-dry instead, but they still insisted on the cancellation fee. I even came in person to try to resolve the situation, but they offered no flexibility despite my effort to honor the appointment. It’s disappointing that there was no understanding for an honest mistake. I feel bad for the stylist, but I won’t be returning. My credit card was charged $96 :(

I had highlights with Katie. I used the first picture to explain what I would like to have and the second one is what I got as a result. I specifically asked not to use any copper brassy shades. I have been a client of this salon for about 2 years.

I have had some of the best haircuts of my life by Geoffrey at Salon 1800. Such a great space with even better energy. Go to Geoffrey if you want a cool, edgy haircut!! He’ll do you right just like he always has for me :)

I have been a blonde for 800 years, I’ve had multiple people dye my head but I swear, Lilly does the best blonde. Tired of being brassy after just 2 weeks? Call her bc I never get brassy. But DONT book her when I wanna book her.

I had a manicure here years ago after spending many years in NYC and although the interior was nice and they had a wall full of the nail polishes, the polish didn't last long. I usually brought my own base coat (I have preference for a specific brand and noticed the color lasts longer). The nail tech didn't provide much prep for my nails, didn't do a buff. Furthermore, most salons have a nail dryer and she didn't have one of those portalable ones so I had to sit there for an hour to dry. It's not like I was going to JINsoon of NYC all the time but many salons were in LES and Queens were standard with their procedures. I had no problem with the hair stylist who cut my hair. This place had a combo to do hair and nails which I thought, oooh, how efficient but looks like I will return for the stylist.

We had my sister’s bachelorette group go here for group blowouts/style. The stylists were so friendly, and they set up chairs so we could all hang out. They offered for us to bring food/drinks, and were constantly checking in on us. A highlight of the weekend!

First google review for me ever!!! These stars are for the stylist Natalie. She said she was new to the salon so I wanted to give a shout out to her and to potential clients that she is amazing. She did a balayage and cut for me and it was exactly what I wanted. I have very curly hair and I wanted something that wouldn't look stupid when it was straight or curly. She took her time to answer my questions and did a great job. The color is perfect. So is the cut. Anyone with curly hair knows how hard it is to find a style that looks good when straight AND curly. And she did a fantastic job. I will be back!!!

This is one of the worst highlights I’ve ever had in my life! Beware of stylists billing themselves as “blond color specialist”. I guess this is what happens when you have people that were trained over Zoom with only a few years of experience. I brought in the details of the color my previous stylist used and very clearly communicated what I didn’t want . . . And that’s exactly what I ended up with. Although they had me come back in to try and fix the muddy toned mess, it was barely any better. Five foil highlights won’t change a horrible dye job. Now they want me to come in a third time in just a week to try and fix it, but another salon advised against so much color in such a short timeframe. I used to go to Salon 1800 in its previous location and I can assure you this is not the same quality of service. Although it looks similar, I’m guessing there’s a reason so many chairs are empty there. If you’re looking for a new salon this is not it!

First time coming into this salon. I came in to get my roots done for a wedding I am in coming up soon. My natural roots are a very dark brown, almost black....the rest of my hair is a lighter brown with some highlights. I came in with the purpose of having my roots match the rest of hair so it does not look grown out. The hairstylist colored my roots the exact same color. I also had gotten toner done to wash out the brassyness of the blonde highlights. Once the service was done, and my hair was blow dried... my hair (light brown with highlights) now seemed more of a dark shade of brown, highlights barely visable, and my roots were still dark. They said it would get lighter with washes. I came back 1 week later again because my hair roots looked the exact same. There seemed to be micommunication between the hairstylist and I. The hairstylist at the first appt understood that I wanted my hair roots the same color they are naturally.... (which personally does not make sense to me... why would I want to pay for my roots to look the same? I don't have grey hairs either). Her and her manager said there was nothing they could do, and my roots can not be lighten up now because they are dyed permanently dark. So now I am in a wedding this weekend with my roots outgrown, paid for a service for my hair to look the exact same and no refund/did not offer any solutions. Really disappointed in the outcome and have never experienced this. Other salons I have attended in the suburbs have been able to do my roots correctly... won't be returning to this salon (came due to closer distant from home). **Photos are day 4 post haircolor service

I get my lashes and brows tinted by Olga and let me say no one in the city does it better. She is so sweet, efficient, and my brows/lashes look great significantly longer than they have when I’ve gotten them done elsewhere. They typically last a month rather than the standard 2 weeks. I truly can’t recommend her enough.

Maya did my cut and balayage last night and it was such an incredible experience. She took her time to make sure the color was exactly what I wanted and was so patient in walking me through the process. I love the color now and am so happy with how it turned out! She also listened to what I wanted for a haircut and executed it flawlessly. Thank you, Maya!
