Going long to short. Already nervous. This was the worst experience ever.. my hair was longer on one side and layered on the other. Mistake 2 went back to have some else try to fix it. 50$ hair cut and i was butcherd. I will never step foot back into that place. Every time I look in the mirror I feel like crying

AMAZING! I got the Japanese hair straightening even though my hair had previously been damaged with bleach. Esther assured me it would be ok and took all the time and effort to ensure that my hair could handle the process. She carefully treated my hair and I love the results. Not to mention she gave me the best hair cut I've ever had. Cannot recommend Esther and 520 beauty lab enough.

Esther does a phenomenal job with straightening perms!! This review is long overdue, but highly recommend for top quality care and treatment! My frizzy, curly hair is so smooth & bone-straight now!! I’ve never loved my hair so much.🥹💕 Been going for 2 years now, and totally worth it!!

I found Salon 520 on Google. I read all the reviews, starting with the lowest reviews. I decided to give this place a try. I haven't had my hair cut in over a year and I usually start hacking at my own hair because of the bad experiences that I have had and I figure I could do just as bad as a hairstylist and have only myself to blame. Anyway, I had Nicole as my stylist. Nicole is wonderful! I wanted a deep conditioning treatment and a hair cut. The deep conditioning made my hair feel super soft. When it came to the haircut, Nicole did a fantastic job. Most often people cut off way more than I want but Nicole cut off less than what I thought would have to come off. The cut is very nice and exactly what I wanted A blunt, straight cut with some face framing. Nicole wasn't rushing or telling me what I wanted. I scheduled for a color next week. I trust this stylist. You can't always let the bad reviews cloud your judgement. Every business has bad reviews as everyone has bad days. I highly recommend this salon. Nice atmosphere. They even offer you something to drink. Give this place a try. I recommend Nicole!

I went for a pretty drastic cut and Leah was fantastic! She gave me a consultation and walked through my inspo pictures, talking about my head shape, hair texture and thickness, how much time I want to spend styling, etc to help me decide what would work for me. She was meticulous and went back over everything at each step to make sure it was perfect. And very affordable! I got consultation, wash, cut, and style for $45 Highly recommend!

I've been coming to Salon 520 since I moved to Tucson in 2022 and it's been my go-to for all hair needs! Esther, Leah, and Erica are all fantastic - patient, warm, and easy to work with. I love their haircuts and scalp treatment, and recommend this place to everyone! A shout out to Esther for the straightening service - it's helped me manage my naturally frizzy hair and such a life-saver in this heat!

Olga is amazing! I've been twice, and she has amazed me. I hated how short my hair was the first time I went, and she helped me dislike it MUCH less. This time she seemed to add length to my cut and she made it look so good!! No product pushing or up-sells at this shop :)

So I started looking on Google maps where too go for hair salons so I could get my hair trimmed or chopped off since I hardly go and I go once a year...so I went to this place it's called salon 520 beauty lab ...they are chill and laid back company...if you want to get a hair cut appointment in they can help you...just call and they can set you up with a haircut 💈 appointment...they are brand new and a small company only a couple people so bare with them ...I went and got my hair cut from them and they were the best ..I would definitely suggest this place for haircuts of any kind...they are a bit pricey..they are about $40 for a haircut...you may be able to get one cheaper just ask...here are some pictures I took to help

Went to this salon for the first time expecting a great experience because of other reviews. Leah was super nice but when I asked for layers with three inches off it ended up looking like a lot more was cut off. My layers look blunt and choppy and now my hair is to my shoulders when it was to the middle of my back. Might go back if I don’t need a complex haircut since it’s close by.

Esther is an amazing stylist. She took her time and was very informative about my hair. Only downside is it takes me about 45 minutes to drive there and that's not including traffic. Either way she is definitely worth it and can't wait until my next visit.

All my life I have struggled getting the haircut I truly wanted due to my abundance and thickness of hair. After so many disappointments I gave up and would just cut my own hair at home. I decided to try this salon as it was nearby at the time and I was hesitant but gave it a try. My appointment was with Nicole and from the moment I walked in she made me feel welcomed. After communicating the struggle I have with my hair she listened to my concerns. Not only did she give me the very first haircut I came to love but she also took the time to style it without making me feel rushed. My visit was 3 months ago and my hair still feels amazing. Thank you Nicole for taking all the extra weight of me, I will definitely be returning when it's time for my next haircut. I had forgotten to leave a review but Nicole did such an awesome job that I have to give her the recognition she deserves.

Erica did a phenomenal job on my hair!! I am so thankful! I was so scared I hadn’t cut my hair in three years! She listened to my life story and based my haircut on what would be best for my life! She was so nice and amazing and got it done super fast! Highly highly highly recommend this salon! Super excited to have found my new salon and new stylist! I won’t go so long this time!

I see Nicole at Salon 520 and I am so happy she landed here! The salon is nice, clean, with a nice non stressful atmosphere! Which makes for a lovely experience! Esther, the owner is a lovely woman. I can tell she really likes what she does and has a lot to offer her cliental.

The only positives that came out of my friend's visit was that Olga held good conversations and was nice overall. However, I could not believe what happened to her hair! My friend is too shy and friendly to say her thoughts but if I can prevent another shy person from experiencing the same thing, then this review is needed. My friend asked for curtain bangs with see through bangs that COULD BE TUCKED BEHIND HER EARS because she had a horrible experience in the past with bangs. She told Olga that it was essential she could pull the fronts behind her ears and that if were to put her hair up, there was framing. When she came home, I could tell something was off with her hair. Her hair was split in the middle yet one side was shorter than the other side and one side was puffier at the top of her head than the other. The ends of her hair were choppy and would not blend in with the rest of her hair. Her "curtain bangs" look horrible because the front of her face look straight across cut. They look short to be curtain bangs yet too long to be bangs that are solid. I could tell my friend was holding back tears because when she tried to pull her hair behind her ears, the "bangs" kept falling out and they look so weird. They are bluntly cut and uneven and the worst part, from the side they just look weird. It can't be held behind her ears unless they are pinned back. We tried to see what her hair looks like with her hair tied up and it looked even worse. It looks like she is wearing a helmet. Luckily, styling with heat doesn't look as bad but she does not have the time always to do her hair. Styling helps with her "curtain bangs" but it can't hide the choppiness and unevenness overall. I know my friend won't say it but she had such beautiful hair before coming to this salon. She puts a lot of trust in people and it is sad to see her cry about how her hair looks like in the front. She didn't want to me to do this but I have to be honest and say she did not get a good haircut from this place.

Very modern decor. Erica does a great job on my hair. Friendly staff. Prices are a little high compared to other salons.
