Salon87 is truly the best. I’ve seen various hairstylists there and have had a great experience with all of them. I’ve also had incredible facials with Nami. The attention to detail and experience here is unmatched - highly recommend!

Aya is an amazing hairdresser. Every now and then I get bangs and layers too my hair but usually I have to grow it out after the salon. Aya cut it so that I’m happy with it the day of + this is the best cut I’ve had in NYC! Excited to come back.

I never leave reviews like this, but I've had a very upsetting experience with Salon 87's staff and cancellation fee policy. I had to cancel a couple of hours into the 24-hour cancellation window due to a legitimate family emergency but they would not budge on the $130 cancellation fee. Visiting the salon has always been a special experience that I very carefully budget for amidst other financial priorities and I was hoping to even just reschedule, but they said the fee would still apply, making it financially impossible for me to reschedule anyways. It’s incredibly disheartening that loyal customers' history and circumstances aren't taken into account, especially when emergencies happen outside of our control. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but I had hoped for a more felxible or human approach, particularly in regards to a sum of money as large as this, and from an independent business, when it was so very close to being within the acceptable cancellation window.

I’ve seen Nami a few times now over the years for facials. She is AMAZING, she is incredibly gentle and makes the whole experience very relaxing. I’ve had my hair worked on by a few of the stylists here including Chika and Yu and loved the results. I truly can’t recommend everyone here enough!

I had a color, cut and blowdry with Akane. The cut was a full restyle and I was literally blown away by how Akane was able to interpret exactly the look I was going for. She nailed it - expert with a scissors! I will be back.

Hands-down, the best hair salon in Brooklyn. Included in the service is free tea to sip and a glorious stress relieving head massage while you get shampooed the staff is kind professional and so talented. You can count on them to make your dream style come true.

I got a full head spa and cut with Akane. The head spa was so relaxing and Akane gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time! Super professional. Highly recommend.

Excellent experience, and can't wait to go back for another service. I had the Brain Detox, and it felt so good. The atmosphere was welcoming and lovely, and the service from beginning to end was fabulous.

Everyone at this salon is so professional and kind. It is also a very a clean space. I came in for the organic facial with Nami. This was my first time getting a facial with Nami and I think I found my go to facislist. I am not one who gets facials often but she makes me want to go religiously. I booked the 30 minute facial but from now on I will book the 60 minute facials because they worth every penny. She was so gentle and still got the job done.

I came in looking like a hag and left feeling like a princess. Yohey took amazing care of me and also gave me some styling tips for my wedding. I hate getting haircuts but 100% come back again!

Kazuma is the best barber I've experienced so far. Everytime my hair results look exactly how I want it and in some cases even better. Glad to finally have a steady barber who knows what he's doing. Always a great experience here.

Love this salon! Great vibe, trendy but unpretentious and the staff is always so kind. It’s my second time visiting junior stylist Kazuma! He’s super attentive and did a great job blending my dark roots.

Head Spa treatment was great. I usually get highlights at Salon 87 (always amazing). It was such a great experience and worth the time. Not fully knowing what to expect, the service included a thorough shampoo, conditioning massage, more scalp massage and then neck/shoulder massage..and then simple blow dry. Dear lord, I almost fell asleep. It was relaxing and hours later still feels nice. As a side benefit, I've been getting tension headaches and migraines, and within minutes it all felt so much better.

I hadn't gotten a haircut in 3 years because, in all honesty, I had always come out of a salon not liking how the cut came out. However, Salon 87 really blew me away. The stylist was very kind and listened to what I was looking for. Can honestly say, best haircut I've ever received. I walked out feeling very confident. Will 100% return!
