Kathy and Denise are absolutely the best. I left with nothing but pure contentment with my hair cut and highlights. Denise is an expert in her field and also so kind and understanding of my requests! Went for color, cut and blowout 11/30/24. Great place! Denise is wonderful! Clean, comfortable and cozy. Denise takes the time to get to know her clients. She's professional. I look and feel better when finished. Highly recommended!

Denise was the sweetest yesterday! I went to Amici for the first time to get a blow out, and Denise didn’t only do an amazing job, but also took the time to learn more about my hair and give me advice on how to best take care of it. My hair was very dry and tangled a lot. Denise not only gave me a haircut, but she also gave me a few tips on how to properly maintain it healthy. The service was wonderful and so knowledgeable.

Awful experience. The salon owner was racist towards me(FYI I’m an Asian) . She kept asking if I found her place through a budget offer when in reality I did not. She kept making faces because of my thick hair and almost looked at me like someone who couldn’t afford to take services from her place. I tipped her and was ready to even pay more if she had requested but this is absolutely disgusting behavior from any salon . Asians stay away from this place

Was there this morning.Needed color refresh, cut, shampoo and blowout for an upcoming appointment. Denise is the best! She discusses everything that's needed, uses great products and all in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are fair. Thank you Denise! Highly recommend going to this cozy place on the East Side.

Denise gave me a great haircut. I had shoulder length hair for the last few years and she recommended I cut it short. She did a fantastic job and it looks great. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend her to anyone in the area.

I went to Salon Amici to do my hair and makeup and Denise did an amazing job! It only took an hour to transform me into a bride! Denise listened to my wants and needs for my hair and make up and really put everything together so nicely. I also got my hair cut and colored a month before which was amazing- I will go back for highlights and cut from now on. I would absolutely recommend Salon Amici for all of your hair and make up needs!

Save your money, go somewhere else. Rude customer service from the stylist. I have a long angled bob. Ends need to be cleaned up, layering cleaned up...of course the ends aren't straight, that's why I made an appointment. 5 mins into discussing it with her. And she is complaining about the ends, saying they're deep point cut, and the angles don't make a straight line when the holds the sections out. NO JOKE!!! Because she was holding them in the direction that you do shag layers, not in the direction of an angled bob. Layers need to be over directed back to keep the longest length in the front ans weight at the bottom, not directed out and forward!!! Despite her yelling at me that she knows bc she went to school...she clearly didn't know! And I also went to school and did hair for 20+years. If you want a 1990s Rachel cut, this may be your place. Otherwise, go somewhere else!

Was so glad they were able to fit me in last minute before my flight! Denise is a true artist! She took her time and explained to me how I could take better care of my hair. Loved all her advice and how welcoming and warm her and Kathy were! Absolutely love my cut! Will definitely be back!

Came here for a way overdue haircut and I’m really happy with the result. Denise made it sure to give me a haircut that would still look good as it grows out and I really appreciated that. She gave some tips on how to keep it healthy and was very friendly.

Great salon with friendly staff and affordable prices. I have very curly hair which is tricky to maintain, so I've always been selective about my hairdresser. I've had a few haircuts from Denise, and she does great work.

I love this hair salon! I went for my second time today and now I won’t let anyone else touch my hair as long as I live in NYC. Kathy and Denise are both great and I trust them to give great recommendations and beautiful haircuts. If you’ve come across this salon, don’t hesitate to make an appointment. I’ve been to Salon Amici twice now and each time has been an incredibly enjoyable experience. I’ve had a wash and blowout and have loved the end result each time! The people that work there are incredibly nice and you can tell that they really care about their customers. I will 100% be going back and will tell my friends to go as well.

Denise cut and colored my hair. She was incredibly kind, professional, and exceptionally competent. My hair has never looked better. I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted but Denise brought it home. She gave me a beautiful, rich color and a great updated cut as well as giving me plenty of advice for styling and caring for my hair on my own. Salon Amici is an excellent salon.

Denise cut my hair and did a wonderful job. Hadn't had my hair cut since COVID-19 started, so she had her work cut out for her! My hair is naturally curly, and I've worn it straight and curly since the cut -- it looks great both ways! The salon is taking great COVID-19 measures. 10/10 experience

I've been I few times to salon for haircut, color and highlight. I am really happy with everything and always have great experience- every time. Denise, stylist, is very knowledgeable, explain of how I should take care of my hair and to maintain the long lasting color and highlight. She put a lot of care of every step, very thorough and make sure I am happy with the result before I walk out the door. Everything is very very clean. Highly recommend this place :))

This is a great salon! Kathy and Denise are very welcoming and Denise is an excellent stylist. I got my hair cut and highlighted by Denise and I absolutely loved it! Would highly recommend going here as I had an overall fantastic experience. This salon is top-notch and I really appreciated the extra safety measures they have taken to ensure their customers have a safe and healthy experience (COVID-19).
