I had the scariest experience last year. Honestly, I am even worried about writing this since I feel like he will harass me again, but it has been on my mind a lot, and want to warn any young girls or students to not go there. First, when I entered the salon, he asked me to remove my shirt and put on the apron, which is really weird because I could literally just put it on top of my regular clothes and don't see any reason why I would get changed. I asked if he had any student prices for dyeing hair and recommendations on blow dryers, and he asked me back if I had a boyfriend, and argued that my boyfriend should pay for me. I kindly said our relationship and economy is none of his business. He then bragged about the girls he had spoiled and offered one of his old blow dryers for free as a gift. It had a European outlet, just like my blow dryer, which does blow properly with an adapter. I explained that it would have the same problem and wouldn't be hot enough. He got upset and offended that I didn't "trust" him, plugged the blow dryer in the wall, put it on max heat, tightly grabbed my arm AND BLEW THE HOT HAIR ON ME until I "felt how hot it was". Not okay, at all. So tired of male workers who prey on young women.

Ali is a credit to the industry he works in and embodies the spirit of treating a job less like a chore and more of a craft. My usual hair salon was fully booked, so Ali and Julio warmly invited me in with humor and goodwill for a simple haircut. I got more than I bargained for thanks to Julio’s years of experience, and I left with a nicer trim than I’ve become accustomed to at other salons. A visit here served as a reminder that getting a haircut can be an experience, rather than a transaction. I can say with confidence that Ali and Julio are two of the most honest and pleasant people I’ve had the chance to meet here. Will be coming back, and highly recommend to all.

Amazing service! I arrived earlier than scheduled and they were super nice about it and attended me right away. Hannah is the sweetest and the gentleman with the great tan was so helpful! They ruined my hair at another salon but they managed to fixit beautifully. 10/10 totally recommend!

I have been going to Ali for many years and he is absolutely THE BEST IN LA!! You will have the best hair you’ve ever had at this salon. I have gotten highlights, haircut, updos, blowouts, etc and have always left very happy. The owner, Ali, is incredibly kind, personable and talented. I will be going to his salon until I’m 90 years old.

Some places online show this place as being closed but it's OPEN, and called Ali Hair Care. Ali is a hair genius, and a super cool guy. I also got a lot of tricky coloring done by Jeanette (spelling?) and its turned out 100Xs better than I could have imagined. If you're on the fence about a cut, if you're looking to make a change, Ali will transform your LIFE! My new hair makes me feel like a model! I cannot recommend this place enough!
