I'm very happy with my shag haircut from Joe Adams. He is a hair stylist who does what I want. In the past I have been to other salons who pretended to listen to me when I explained what I wanted. Joe really does listen.

Joe is super pleasant and accommodating. Laid back and fun, but attentive. He took plenty of time looking at pictures and talking it through to understand exactly what I was looking for. I have long hair and needed to get the ends and the shape cleaned up, but didn't want to lose too much length. He did exactly what I asked. Gave me a great haircut that looks like a million bucks, and the price was so reasonable. I can't say enough. The salon has a very cool, comfortable atmosphere and Joe is fantastic. Highly skilled and super easygoing. I love the haircut! Highly recommend!

We just moved to Philly and needed to find a hairdresser for my crazy, growing out pixie. Joe is a slam dunk! He did a great job in starting this process and making my hair look good at the same time. He listened to what I had to say and what the goal was. Executed it perfectly! And he's so personable to boot. Yep, slam dunk!

Joe has cut my family’s hair for years and it’s always a great experience! The salon is conveniently located and welcoming, prices are affordable and every cut, color, blowout and style is top-notch. Joe is super talented with women’s, men’s and even kid’s cuts (though our child is a tween). Can’t recommend Salon Ballyhoo enough! You won’t be disappointed.

I've been going Joe for my haircuts for about 15 years, and I haven't even lived in Philadelphia for the past 13 of those years. That's how good he is, and how confident I am that every time I head to his shop, I will leave with a perfect cut. I've tried other places in ither cities I have lived in , and no one ever even comes close. As such, I make it a point to see Joe every single time I visit home! Do yourself a favor and book him.

Joe did a fantastic job! I wanted a new hairstyle, including bangs, which I hadn’t had for years, so I was a bit anxious when entering the salon. Joe immediately put me at ease as we settled into conversation. I was welcomed into the salon with a selection of drinks, candy, and great music. I felt he really listened to what I wanted for my haircut and executed it fabulously. I’ve already gotten many compliments!! I feel like a brand new person with a cool new “do,” and I have Joe to thank for it!

I loved Joe's haircut. He is really good at understanding which hairstyle would work best for you. Beyond his exceptional skill with scissors, Joe's friendly approach makes every visit a pleasant experience. I highly recommend him to everyone, especially if you are up for a change but not sure what you want. Joe is sure to make you look beautiful.

Joe does a fabulous job creating amazing cuts and colors. He saved me from the dearth of Philly hairdressers that could not cut my hair in a way that I liked. He's the first hairdresser I've ever had that makes my salon experience actually enjoyable. Next time you're in, check out the product line he has on the shelves. Joe is a skilled artist as well as a gifted conversationalist. Located in historic Old City, Salon Ballyhoo is a beautiful cozy and colorful full service hair salon. They play great music and Joe was attentive and conscientious of my daughter's needs. She was delighted with her new birthday cut and I was happy that she was happy. Her hair looks beautiful! She's off to school to show off her new 'do. Eleventy billion stars, definitely recommend!
