Salon baobao is absolutely fantastic! The entire staff is amazing, and my hair stylist Luciano is the best around! Super flexible to find an appointment, will put in extra time and detail to get the haircut just perfect, and it's always a great experience.

Unfortunately I was really disappointed with my haircut here. I found the stylist to be unfriendly and they gave me a completely different haircut than I asked for. I had to go to another salon to salvage what they could and even they were in disbelief of the haircut I received. It is really frustrating because I basically have to wear my hair up until it grows out several inches which could be 6+ months of waiting. Unless you have really short hair I would not recommend this place for a women’s haircut.

I had such a great experience with Bao! It was my first time bleaching and dying my hair and he did a fantastic job. He was great at communicating and his attention to detail resulted in an incredible look.

I had an excellent experience and a fantastic cut with Jeremy! He really knows what he is doing and also provided some very helpful styling tips and sold me on with a product that works really well for my hair type. Looking forward to my next cut with him.

I've been coming here for over a year. Bao is the expert when it comes to hair. I wanted to find someone who understood Asian hair well and he fit the bill to a T: he taught me so much about my own hair. If I leave SF, I will dearly miss this place. Easy booking through Vagaro as well.

Spent the past year struggling to achieve a certain color result with another salon and was about to give up back to my natural dark. Walked in here to schedule a second opinion/consultation as a Hail Mary. Jeremy sat me down right away and took a look at my hair. I explained the situation and he confidently said "I can do that," with photo evidence of his past work, "I can schedule you today and you'll leave with that color, today." I was shocked because I'm not used to that kind of can-do attitude or ready availability. But I took him up on the same-day appointment. Came back nervous with lots of questions during his process, for which he had good answers. I learned more about my hair and what's needed for this color. I learned about a different kind of toner I've never had before and how long bleach can actually stay on my hair before I need to worry - I've had the do it myself the last two sessions. The final result was exactly what he said and showed it would be. I only wished I had come to this salon a year earlier and I could have saved so much of my long hair and time. He had me in and out within 2 hours - half as long as I had expected. Worth every star.

Bao is amazing. I’m so happy with the cut he gave me - he not only took all my requests into account, the end result was so much better than I expected. This was my first visit with him but it certainly won’t be the last.

I got a haircut from Jacob, and I can't rave enough about how good it is. I came in after 6 months of shaggy pandemic hair, gave some vague instructions about wanting short hair, and walked out looking better than I have in years. The haircut not only looks great, but he worked around my annoying cowlick, so it's super easy to maintain on a daily basis. This is not a fancy salon, by the way, Jacob has a minimalist workspace where he does amazing work for a very reasonable price.

It took me 30 mins to Uber to the shop for my appointment but I was told the owner is not there and I cannot have a haircut. The staff in this place is rude and not friendly

Salon baobao is great! I go to Tung and he gives me amazing hair cuts, when I had both long and short hair. He recently bleached my entire head and the process was so smooth and the results were amazing

i was pretty disappointed with my experience. i came in for a bleach and color, asking for a cool vibrant red and showing them a picture. they left the bleach on my head too long, burning my scalp. i left the salon with hot pink hair. the attitude of the guy was pretty bad too. finally, the cost was over $300 and they expect a $50+ tip. not worth it at all imo. you’d be better off at a salon in chinatown, sunset, or richmond.
