Meriah is amazing!!! She is the only stylist in PDX I’ve kept coming back to on a semi-regular basis. She listens to my concerns and desires and always takes such great care of my hair and scalp!! I love that she has a fresh take on what would suit my look and helps me feel so confident and cared for. Highly recommend!!

Meriah is literally the BEST!!! Not only is she incredibly talented and knowledgeable, she is also one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I always look forward to my appointments and I couldn’t be happier with my hair:) I am really particular about who I let touch my hair and she absolutely blew away all my expectations. She listens and focuses on little details throughout the process to make sure my hair always looks amazing. I always leave feeling like a million bucks. I would highly recommend Meriah to anyone! One of best haircuts I’ve ever had and the blowout is *chefs kiss* dreamy 90s supermodel bouncy blowout. 10/10 would recommend Meriah she is AMAZING!! Love this salon!

Very much in need of shaping to what had become my (kinda) bob. (I'm being kind when I type 'kinda' and 'bob.') Did some google searching and Salon Beck reviews piqued my interest. (They are great!) Little more reviewing ... and Chad's name came up multiple time in conjunction w/ the word 'bob.' Booked appt and cut was today. Previous reviews were 100% spot on. Chad is amazing and the cut - well, even better. And, while I'm doubtful I'll do the cut full justice when I go to style tomorrow ... I'm confident I'll get very close! Big "Thanks" to Chad for making some "me" time amazing.

I’m originally from California and had a family friend cut my hair for years - so I was terrified to start fresh and find a new salon in Portland. I am so glad I found this place!! I’ve had a few haircuts with Katie, the owner, and I cannot recommend this place enough. Katie is so sweet and easy to talk to and knowledgeable about her work. She also patiently worked with me when I considered extensions and talked me through the possible options given that I was worried about my fine/brittle hair. The salon itself is beautiful and a great location with easy parking. I really lucked out that I found this place. Highly recommend!

Chad Atwood at Salon Beck revived my bob and magically made my waves and curls spring back into place! Chad is certainly an expert stylist - he gave me some diffusing tips to keep my hair looking polished. I’m so happy with my cut and have already made my next appointment.

I booked a cut and color appointment with Meriah a few weeks ago. Since then my confidence has been through the roof. I have never received so many compliments on my hair. I’m obsessed and apparently so is everyone else. 10/10 will come back. 10/10 will recommend.

My wife went here for extensions for our wedding. There was no instructions on how to care for them properly, she had to go back twice (after 2 weeks, and again another 2 weeks later) to get them corrected as they kept falling out. We were told "That happens sometimes", but again no instructions on how to keep that from happening. 1week before the wedding she went back to BECKs to have the extensions fixed, and by the time the wedding happens 7 days later, 7 of the extensions had fallen out. Our wedding hair and makeup artist told us that the extensions were installed improperly, of poor quality, and could hurt my wife's hair. I reached out to BECKs a few days after the wedding with my concerns. The owner took 2 weeks to get back to me, and asked me for another week. She didn't get back to me in the time frame we agreed on. After that I got a message from another owner/manager saying that they don't issue refunds as it was our fault the extensions fell out. In my opinion a good hair salon would teach people to care for the extensions, but no education was done at the appointments. I attended the final appointment (one week before the wedding) where my wife specifically asked if she was doing something wrong and the hair stylist said "No, sometimes they just fall". My experience with this Salon has left a bad taste in my mouth, we will not be using them again and I would recommend others not trust them with their extensions, especially before a big life event like a wedding.

Shout out to the stunningly talented Meriah G. She took my looong red hair and added a beautiful full blonde highlight. I've seen her do absolute wonders with browns and blondes so for her to pull off an effortless blend to my natural red hair just proves she can do anything with any color! I've been to stylists who were pretty limited with their knowledge, but she just had me sit back and relax and knew exactly what to do. I've taken my daughter to her for two years now and although I've only been once I will go back to her every time! To have a good experience it's not just the stylist it's the overall salon vibe as well. Salon Beck is clean and calming. Doesn't have a lot of stuff everywhere and stations are minimal. I live a few hours away so it says alot if I'm set on seeing Meriah!

Meriah always does such an amazing job on my hair. My hair was past my shoulders and the ends were very dry so I asked for a lob and to blend my highlights in, because I’m trying to grow out my natural color. She executed it SO well I was in shock!! And not only does she always slay my hair, but the service quality and environment of the salon are top tier. I was offered a mimosa upon my arrival and Meriah always makes me feel so comfortable. I always recommend her to all of my family and friends in the Portland area. Also, her Instagram is so aesthetically pleasing and very professional. @meriah.hair

❌BAD EXPERIENCE 🛑 dissatisfied and very disappointed with the owner hair stylist KATIE. After a consultation appointment and time wasted driving all the way to Portland FOR NOTHING. She cut 2 chunks of my hair to do a bleach test , we discussed for 30 min about the best solution for my hair and after an agreement she supposed to call me back to make an appointment to get my hair done . NOPE she never call me or text me , she made me wait 3 long weeks and after that I have to call to see what’s going on , she never answer my calls or text, next day she sent me a text message to let me know that she WONT BE ABLE TO WORK on my hair because she was very busy and she suggest to get a service from another stylist from her salon REALLY ???that was very unprofessional from her part , she have to learn how to be more sincere and HONEST right at front with her clients . NO I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!!

Meriah G did a blonding service and tape In extensions on me. She is an AMAZING stylist. She is an absolute gem of a human, always makes the appointments so fun. Explains all of my options, and helps me decide what is best for longevity and budget. I’ve been going to Meriah for a long time now and refuse to have anyone else touch my hair. She recommends the best products and is very informative on how to upkeep at home. You won’t just be leaving the salon looking your best, you will be looking your best EVERYDAY. You will not be disappointed when you book your services with her! 5 stars for this lady.

Had a session with Kevin. He is awesome, friendly and listened to my needs. He is meticulous and a great stylist. My end result was a fun style and color that will be low maintenance; which is perfect for myself. My hair looks and feels wonderful. I cannot wait to go back and get a Brazilian blowout with him.

I cannot say enough good things about Meriah, she is so knowledgeable about products, takes the time to listen to what you want, and is an absolute ray of sunshine! She truly is so good at her job and puts so much thoughtfulness and care into her work. She completely transformed my hair and I truly feel like she’s a miracle worker! I can’t even believe how good my hair looks and feels after seeing her. I would highly reccomend booking with her. 100/100 stars!!!

Meghann is absolutely amazing! This was my first time letting someone else cut my hair in almost 20 years and I’m already hooked. The experience in general was really great. The shop itself is chill, stylish, and relaxing. Meghann offers optional quiet sessions where the talking is minimal and for someone with anxiety like myself it was a relief of an option. She really listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond. She checked in throughout about things like length to ensure I was satisfied with how it was going and gave really helpful tips to help me reach my hair goals. Highly recommend!

Shout out to Taylor. I had a hair tragedy and Taylor came to the rescue. Another salon absolutely butchered my hair and color. Salon Beck and Taylor accommodated me asap on a busy weekend and Taylor was flexible with her appointments. We did a full revamp of my hair. She took her time and made sure to handle my hair with care. I have a lot of hair and it’s thick. She worked with my hair and made sure it will grow out correctly and the color/ balayage will also serve me well. The salon is clean, modern, comfortable, and accommodating. Taylor is a pleasure to have as a hairstylist.

Katie is the best, I've never had such a good hair cut experience, I went from very long to a shorter cut that needs little styling. She listened to my wants and gave me better than I could have ever imagined. I'm so thankful I found her!! I love my new hair. I came in to go from a dark brown to blonde and I couldn’t be happier. Katie and Kimmie are so talented. They styled my hair so beautifully and talked me through the whole process. The service was top tier and the women are knowledgeable and experienced. Highly recommend

I went to Brian Evans and had the BEST experience! it is always scary going to a new place when you move, and Brian made me feel comfortable and did a beautiful job on my hair.
