I’ve had my haircut with Bridget since she started her career as a “protégé”. Her talent and professionalism is unmatched! I’ve moved from the area but still highly recommend her. She has given me some of my best haircuts. I’d happily fly back to receive services from her or any other stylist at her salon! I left my review to let others know this is a business worth supporting!

Salon Black is a one-of-a-kind salon! My husband and I have had our hair cut/colored/styled by a handful of the stylists and have always left feeling so fresh, beautiful, and happy. I feel good knowing that I spent my money at an establishment that values me as a human being and places an emphasis on a great client experience!

Amazing staff and great cuts. I didn’t want to trust my luscious locks to just anyone so I reached out to salon black and they were enthusiastically happy to help. I’m not use to salons (more of a barber shop guy) but now I’m converted. Hair better than ever. Would give more stars if it was possible.

Bridget is the most talented and kind hearted salon owner I have ever met. Not only is she the best at what she does, but she truly is the sweetest most giving person as well. I can’t say enough good things about the experience me and my daughters had when visiting Salon Black👏❤️🫶🏼

I had a very weird and negative experience at Salon Black The stylist. Kylie seemed nice but was also very quiet & unfriendly. The owner was too sweet pre service and after - was totally rude and dismissive on the phone when I called back to see about getting more color in my hair. It was So confusing and disrespectful. I tipped over 20%- on $235. I was absolutely polite. I have no idea why they were so rude negative towards me. It was very disturbing.

I had a weird negative experiences at Salon Black. The Stylist Kylie did a good job with coloring And She was strangely unfriendly. The owner was Sacharine sweet, and then very rude on the phone. I was polite- tipped over 20% on a $235. (!) Color job. It was so very confusing. I would Not recommend this Salon.

I’ve been a client of Salon Black for a couple years - and could not recommend them more. Both B and Yvonne have always done an incredible job cutting my hair - they’ve always listened well to understand the style I’m hoping for, and offer great suggestions on how to make it best suit me personally. I always look forward to my haircuts and the conversation that goes along with it, and am consistently thrilled with the results!

I’ve been coming to Salon Black for almost 3 years now, and they are AMAZING. Bridget takes pride in her business, and makes sure that she takes care of her clients. She has recommended so many products for me to try out, and has even given me a bonnet to sleep in. As a girl with curly hair, I love coming to someone who understands my hair and curl pattern. I always leave with a beautiful blowout and an amazing haircut. Coming here has boosted my self esteem, and made me new friendships! Thank you for everything!

This is my time visiting Salon Black…totally enjoy. the Service. The staff are very professional, friendly and kind and very welcoming. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. the manager of the Salon is very patient. she tries her best to work with you to get the result that you need.

I absolutely adore this salon! From atmosphere to technique they are amazing. finding a place that knows how to take care of my curly hair is rare out here but Bridget and her team are great! I come here for all my services, cut, color and styles. If you love a good blowout, this place is a must!

I've been a loyal Salon Black client for nearly two years, and I can honestly say I’ve never looked back! B, the owner, is incredible, and her entire team is equally amazing. When I first came in, I was struggling with significant hair loss and was looking for a salon that specialized in curly hair and extensions. Not only did they meet my expectations, but they consistently exceed them with every visit. I trust this salon completely and would highly recommend it to anyone. Since becoming a client, I’ve had weft extensions, which I have moved up every 6-8 weeks. Scheduling is always smooth and convenient, and their communication is excellent if there are any conflicts. I’ve never left the salon feeling disappointed. B has become like family to me, and she’s helped me in so many ways, especially in rebuilding my confidence in my own hair. I’m beyond grateful that I took a leap of faith and found this amazing business two years ago.

After trying to bleach my hair at home (do not do it if you don’t know what you’re doing), I called Salon Black and they set up an appointment with Kyli. She did an amazing job, I am so happy with the way it turned out. They were transparent with everything, time, price, etc. I will definitely be going back!

I had a curly appointment with Reina and I just have to say that I’ve literally never had a haircut that I truly liked. I absolutely LOVE my hair! Reina is an absolute sweetheart and definitely knows curly hair! She’s the only person that’s ever been able to style my curls as well as I do (she may have even done better!) I hadn’t seen a professional stylist for over 4 years because I always had bad experiences and I will 100% be going back to Reina from now on! Thank you! 🫶🏻🔥

I recently had my hair done by Renee, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with the experience. For the high price I paid, I expected a higher level of skill and professionalism. It felt like her knowledge and experience didn’t align with the cost of the service. Additionally, there was very little communication throughout the appointment, which made the experience feel impersonal. Overall, I left feeling like I didn’t get the value I paid for.

My partner had never had her hair cut professionally, and absolutely loved getting her curly hair cut with Reina! Reina was very meticulous and left her hair looking beautiful, especially with the styling afterwards. I also loved eating snacks while I waited! Well worth it!

This was my first time at Salon Black. I got a full black color, a trim and a blow out by Kyli. I never take time to review places, but this was hands down the best salon i’ve been too. They’re very welcoming when you first walk in, making sure you’re always feeling comfortable and loving what you’re getting done. I will 100% come back and make this my go-to salon from here on out. I’ve been struggling for a while to find a salon that I feel comfortable with and I definitely found it. I loved all the staff and loved the first client discount! And whoever is replying to these negative reviews is bad ass lmao. 10/10.

I love Salon Black! After being a regular at the Rio Grande Flying Star for years and always walking by the salon, I made an appointment and I had an amazing time! Kyli is so lovely and gave me a cut that I loved - It's grown out beautifully, which is what I am looking for as I grow out these bangs. I am excited to make my next appointment with her!

I arrived to the salon at 10:20am expecting hair ext4neion install, high lights and low lights and a trim. After sitting till 4:30pm, there were only high lights and low lights, no extensions as he was going to charge me $1070 for these services. Justice could not understand what layering cut meant and had to ask other stylist how to preform. The final bill for this service was $589.00 and without realizing it I had given additional $50. This is not a high end salon as I have had many colors placed over the years and never paid this much. The inexperience showed with this stylist and will have to seek additional services to correct the horrible hair trim I received. Very disapponted with the service and will contact owner regarding this issue of inexperienced hairstylist taking hours to complete this service and the astronomical charge for his service.

I’ve gone to Salon Black a few times now and have been consistently impressed. During my most recent visit, Justice did a blowout, which Bridget finished up (as a favor, because I arrived late) and my hair looked stunning. This was for my wedding updo the next day so it was a big deal, and they knocked it out the park. Highly recommend!

Justice did an amazing job with my highlights and hair cut. He listened, and discussed the process with me since this was my first highlight experience. I highly recommend him! The salon has such a chill and relaxing vibe, which was a bonus.

Salon Black is AMAZING!!! I’m from Idaho and am really picky with getting my blonde hair done right. Yvonne did absolutely wonderful!! She was so fun and friendly to talk to, and got the highlights just perfect. The vibe is sleek and the products are top of the line. Just after getting my hair done, Salon Black was prompt to check up on how I might be feeling about my experience via text. I was so impressed!! I received excellent care and felt totally pampered. I took my son there to get his LONG HAIR cut off and the hair dresser (Jaqueline) did an AMAZING job and it came out just the way he wanted it. All the workers were extremely nice and kind as well.

Kim was perfect and absolutely lovely. I booked this week last minute and did it fully read the booking correctly only getting a blowout (my bf suggested I double check and I didn’t) she still managed to cut my hair and do the blowout/styling. Thank you so much and will be booking again… correctly in the future. Thank you again for the services. Salon is card only, book online. Small and peaceful, the staff is attentive and all have wonderful energy.

Hello, Just wanted to share my experience at Salon Black. It was my first time at this Salon I found on Instagram it was amazing! My stylist Justice did an absolute Phenomenal job showed Justice my vision of what I was looking for and I was very impressed with how well it came out I have always done my own hair but I will definitely leave it to the professionals . Also Bridget washed, cut my hair and styled it so beautiful I wish I had her to style it everyday 🤩 she definitely has magic hair hands and her dog was the absolute cutest thing ever she was so sweet . I will definitely be back to Salon Black because I just love how beautiful Justice did my color!! all the ladies were lovely and I enjoyed the small professional atmosphere and how clean they had their spot I also want to try all the amazing products they offer all of them smelled so good made my hair so soft . Thanks for the experience and keep up the amazing service.

I have been coming to Salon Black for 3 years and have gone through MANY different hair styles and color changes. Bridget has always been my main girl but I’ve had the pleasure of seeing everyone on the team from Jack, to Yvonne, Aubrey and Kim! They all have their own style and matched up with every style I was going for. The environment is comforting, ever-changing, and FUN! If you want to laugh and look beautiful that’s your place!

I’ve been going to B for about a year or two now. I’ll never get my hair cut by anyone else. She is the curly cut queen. She’s cut my moms hair my brothers and mine. We all have different curl patterns and she kills it every time!!! Everyone is so friendly and it’s such a welcoming space I recommend to anyone!

Salon Black truly is such a magical place. Not only do they slay the hair game but they are always so welcoming. Bridget did my hair 3 years ago and I have never gone to anyone else since. She does an amazing job and even did my Wedding hair in Durango. She's an absolute gem!
