Camden is my hairstylist, she’s amazing at what she does and she is so sweet - I look forward to my monthly appointments with her. When she’s out, I see Caroline Jones who is just as wonderful! The salon is clean and well maintained. Pricing is fair.

I absolutely love Caroline and have been using her for several years, so none of this is because I am displeased with my services. I am upset with the rescheduling/cancellation policy. Today is Monday and I have the flu. Sunday, you are closed, so I was unable to call and let you know that I was not feeling well. I just talked to the front desk girl who said I will be charged my reservation amount despite asking to reschedule. I understand the policy, but when Caroline was sick, you didn’t mind calling same day to reschedule me.

I had a truly terrible experience with Sandy back in late November, just before my birthday and with my never before colored hair. I went in to get root color to cover grays and a haircut, after washing the root color out and going back to the chair we both noticed it turning orange. Sandy said she didn’t know why it happened and if I could be pregnant or have a thyroid issue (lol). She then added more color to counteract the orange which in turn was way too dark but still an auburn color once dry. I had allotted only 2 hours for the appointment and she asked if I could come back tomorrow to fix it, after Emily B came over and made some suggestions to fix it.I live in Durham so it’s a hike but I wanted my hair to be fixed so I agreed to it. Did I mention I barely got a measly ‘so sorry about this’ or a discount on services? No, they offered me zero discount and I returned the next day. She added color and while it was way too dark and didn’t match my hair or roots she said within 2-3 washes it would return to my natural hair color. It did not, I’ve had enough people comment on my copper roots that I decided to write this review rather than let it go. As someone who’s unemployed and had ‘virgin’ hair that wasted money on a hack job by a level 2 stylist is quite depressing, it was also right before a big birthday trip. I will never return to this salon and will warn people about it. No remorse or discount and as seen in the picture attached, still copper. Shame on this salon.

I’ve been going to Shawn for about a year for my extensions. She’s really perfected her craft, she’s detail oriented, knowledgeable, and puts her clients needs first! I don’t think I’ll ever go without extensions again, and I’ll never let anyone else install them. If they’re done correctly, extensions should protect the hair and I’ve seen so much growth of my natural hair while having them. Since I started coming to Shawn, this is the healthiest my hair has ever been!

Elyse did a fabulous job with my haircut! My daughters and I have enjoyed getting our hair done with her. She has a great personality, and we loved our hair each time. The salon is bright and clean, and the front desk is always really friendly!

I have gone to salon blue 4 times and I have felt very happy with the color and the result of my hair, I always do the color in all my hair and pay a high amount for this work, on Saturday I went to do the color again because my dark foundation stood out a lot. I asked my stylist if we could try another design for my hair that did not involve changing my color, he said yes and showed me a photo of a design that I accepted. When she started she only bleached the front of my hair, when it was time to rinse my hair I told her that if she wasn't going to do something underneath because my hair was very dark there, they rinsed me and brushed me, obviously the front of my hair was beautiful but the rest was the same because she didn't bleach me anywhere else, so I thought that the value I was going to pay was lower, taking into account that the previous times they did all my hair but this time they only did the front part, but for My surprise they charged me exactly the same amount as if they had done all my hair, when the only thing they did to me was 6 strands in front. I'm very disappointed with this, it doesn't seem fair to me.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Emily do my very first balayage at Salon Blu, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, Emily made me feel comfortable and at ease, explaining every step of the process with such professionalism and kindness. She truly listened to what I wanted and worked her magic to create the most beautiful, natural-looking color I could have imagined. I’ll definitely be coming back to Emily. Thank you for making my first balayage experience so amazing—I’m obsessed with the results!

The atmosphere at Salon Blu is wonderful! Keri did such an amazing job with my hair that hasn’t been touched in years! I’ve been skeptical about having anyone work on my hair as I always would do my own hair but now I have found my very own stylist. She is absolutely amazing!

I’ve had my hair done here before, and the quality of their work is good, but I’ve had two frustrating experiences with Salon Blu recently. Both times, my appointment was canceled just one hour before it was scheduled, leaving me scrambling. I live 40 minutes away and had to take time off work and was literally about to walk out the door both times when I got the call saying my stylist had called in sick but it feels more like a pattern, especially since these cancellations were only two weeks apart. One of those times, I was preparing for a wedding that was just two days away, so it was too late to find another salon. What really bothers me is that if clients cancel with less than 24 hours notice, they charge your credit card. But apparently, they feel it's okay to cancel last minute with no regard for your time or plans. After these repeated cancellations, I’ve lost trust in their reliability, especially when it comes to scheduling before special events. I’m disappointed because the work itself is good but If you need dependable service, I’d think twice before booking here, you might end up with no time to get your hair done elsewhere.

This is the salon to go to if you are looking for your perfect hair stylist. The salon is modern, clean and has a really nice feel to it. The staff at the front were warm and welcoming. Watching the stylists, they were all very interested in their clients and there was a great energy. I have to give an extra special shout out to Sierra though. She went above and beyond as this was our first time meeting. Not only will she really listen to what you want but she is incredibly knowledgeable and can offer great recommendations. She even took the time to sample different products with me to see which I would like to use with my new style. It took me 6 years of being in NC-but I finally found MY master hair stylist! Thank you so much!

I’m going to be honest the people were nice and the environment was clean ( but that is what you should expect for almost 400 dollars for a balayage) However, I honestly think you should look other places if you have black hair/ not blonde hair. I don’t think they are the best at that in my experience

I recently visited Salon Blu for the first time, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Caroline worked her magic and gave me a stunning bob haircut that I absolutely love. She was attentive, skilled, and made sure to understand exactly what I wanted. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Sierra is amazing! She makes you feel very comfortable and talks to you about what you want done. Before cutting my hair she showed me twice to make sure I was good with the length. She is professional and friendly. I felt like I was chatting with a friend while I was getting my hair done. I had a glaze, cut and blow out done. I already booked my next appointment with her and be back every month!
