I’ve been going to Dorothy for years now and never am I disappointed. She listens to what I’m looking for and gives suggestions and ideas that suite my taste. My most recent appointment a new stylist , Shaylyn assisted in coloring and blowing out my hair. She was so kind and mindful of my personal circumstances with getting my hair washed and it was truly appreciated. She also did a FABULOUS job blowing out my hair !

First time going and as soon we came in I felt completely comfortable everyone was so unbelievably nice ray did such an incredible job on my daughters highlights and the conditioning treatment was amazing we found our new home we are definitely going back dorthy was incredibly sweet thank you for staying extra for us would recommend this salon to anyone check it out

Best experience ever! Where do I begin? I’ve had some life-changing events over the past few months and let myself go in the process. For the New Year, I committed myself to positive change, and of course what better way than with a makeover! I struck lucky when I called this salon to make an appointment. First I spoke with Dorthy who is just a doll! I explained what was going on and she set me up with one of her amazing stylists, Ray for a consult. At the same time, I mentioned that my 7-year-old daughter needed a haircut so she fit her in with another amazing stylist, Leah. Considering it was 2 days before New Year's, she was super accommodating & patient. As soon as I walked into the salon, the vibe/aura was great! Everyone was super friendly and their passion for each person in their chairs could be felt. My daughter had very long thick hair and she wanted a short cut. Leah gave her a beautiful bob. She was so careful, patient, and precise in cutting her. Leah is super talented, sweet, and has amazing curls - made me miss having curly hair! I met with Ray for my consult and ladies, he came in with a plan! When I tell you this guy knows the style and cut for the fit, he knows his stuff! He asked what I had in mind and then he analyzed my hair, and complexion - he studied me in seconds, and then told me his plan which sounded amazing since he was so detailed explaining every step. The next day I came in to begin my transformation. While there, the entire team was super friendly and attentive. Leah started the process of applying the Get Pure treatment. She was very gentle and took her time making sure she covered every inch. Once that was done, Ray started his amazing magical touch! Every step of the way, he educated me, told me do’s/don’ts, and made recommendations on how I can best manage my hair when I'm home. While getting my hair styled everyone from Dorthy to the wash girls is interacting with me, complimenting me, and making me feel GREAT, I felt beautiful even with a head full of wet dye! I left the salon with one of the best hair colors (a magical baylage with a twist) and a gorgeous shaggy cut. These guys are all amazing artists and people! This is my new spot and I'm super excited for my touch-up in a few weeks! I recommend Dorthy, Ray, Leah, and their crew 100% plus! P.S. What can I say about Dorothy? She is simply the best!!! My mother, my son and I are all regular customers and we love getting our hair cuts, color and highlights with Dorothy. She and her staff at all very courteous, professional and friendly. We all look forward to each of our appointments because we know we’ll get the best care by an amazing hair stylist and her team! Ray is amazing. Hands down the best color & cut. The most impressive thing about Ray is how attentive he is to the integrity of my hair and getting the color/cut perfect. It took half my life to find a great salon and artist but I finally found it.

Leah is amazing at doing k tips extensions. Look no further contact Leah at Salon D'Amore. Leah did my extensions for my daughter's party it looked beautiful and so natural it gave me length and very full. I received many compliments. I highly recommend giving Leah a call.

Love the entire salon .. love the cuts and color gorgeous blowouts from any stylist However …. Was feeling with mid age my hair is thinning . This is where Leah came in ! She places hair extensions just right. I use them for volume i could not be happier . They look and feel natural. Easy to maintain . Best part is I feel young and vibrant. Go see Leah !

NEVER have I ever been completely happy. Maybe my expectations are too high. However I came in for a consult to correct another salons job. I left feeling confident and heard. My appointment was an add on to the end of the business hours to help me. They accommodated me because they saw how upset I was. Always skeptical I went to my appointment with Ray and he explained everything he was going to do and even asked what my feedback was before doing anything. Well the unveiling since he didn’t show me the mirror until he was completely done was almost a tear jerker. Happy is not even the word. He got my hair looking great and an added bonus the color I’ve wanted for years. They have me as a client for life. Ray is the best and will always trust him. To top this off, I've found my girl to do my extensions. I've always had very thin hair but as I get "older" it's gotten worse. I take my vitamins, etc but until I find that miracle where my hair gets thicker, extensions work for me. I've gotten them elsewhere and found they were thrown on and what should've lasted months would start falling out a week after installing. In comes Leah. The consultation left me pretty confident in not only her experience but knowledge that she would do right by me. I was totally right. She took her time to place each strand correctly to make it look as natural as possible. I didn't do it for length, although that is a possibility, but for thickness. The end result was so much different than previously that I've gotten. I didn't feel a huge amount of weight and the match in color was flawless. She is kind and very openminded. I've found my hair dream team for life at Salon D'Amore!

I had such an amazing experience, specifically with Leah!!! I had such a tough a time finding a good hairstylist specializing in curly hair. I was recommended to use Leah at Salon D’amore and I’m so glad I did. I had an amazing experience and all the hair stylists are super talented. I was so happy with the results so I recommend Leah with curly hair and Jackie with professional make up! Great vibes, talent, and good service!! 10/10 recommend!!

Every one was so nice and friendly. Dorothy’s expertise with the different shades of color in my hair was on point. Leah’s eye for my face to decide how she was going to do my blowout was on point. My first time there and I will definitely be going back!!

You need to run to Salon D’Amore. I worked with Ray and I cannot express how grateful I am of him. He was so patient, kind, professional and he KNOWS hair!! I’ve been to many salons including overseas and I can say with confidence that Ray is top 5 if not #1 stylist/colorist that I have ever met! He blew me away with his knowledge of your skin tone that goes best with what hair color, face shape, and hair texture. With all that knowledge, he was skillfully able to provide me with the most incredible haircut and color of my life. I will be honest, sharing this review is my wanting to pay it forward to all the ladies and men out there who are seeking the most wonderful hair service imaginable. Came here after reading reviews. I was greeted by everyone in the salon as well as my hair stylist, Leah. She was so sweet, calm and attentive. I have been struggling with my hair and she listened to me. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely friendly staff. Raymond did exactly how I wanted my hair . Didn't cut to much off . Did a straight blowout and my husband loves it alot.. ty so much . I LOVE it here!!! From the people, to the music playing, the vibes are immaculate. Ray was recommended to me by my sisters and mom & now we’re all out here looking fabulous!! Ray listens and truly hears what it is that I’m looking to achieve & nails it every time. I always leave feeling stunning; Ray’s blowout alone is a craft in itself.

I have been going here for a few years. There are a lot of salons in our area that give off very pretentious, unwelcoming vibes. I can’t describe how much Salon D’Amore is the opposite of that. The entire staff is wonderful. Dorothy not only did my makeup and hair for my bridal shower but also myself & my bridal party’s hair/makeup the day of my wedding. I’ve never felt more beautiful. Ray is an absolute joy. He makes you feel so comfortable, is so funny and so sweet. He absolutely kills it with my hair every time. Leah is amazing when it comes to styling naturally curly hair, which I have, and it isn’t easy to manage but she makes it look so simple. Having a salon less than 5 minutes from my house filed with a staff who want nothing more than you to leave feeling your absolute best — I love it. Whether I need a quick haircut, or a formal style, I will always come back here. They remember your name and treat you like family. 💙

This review is way overdue bc Leah & the salon deserves allll the stars google has to offer! Most affordable curly cut on Long Island & that is a fact. Now for my hair...I planned a big chop for my birthday after a crazy year I felt it was time to start new. I booked with Leah with short notice and she got me right in. We clicked right away and the rest of the staff there was soooo supportive as well even complimenting Leah on the cut as she was doing it (loved to see that support between them). To feel seen and heard by your stylist is amazing and that translates into the wonderful haircut that I received. Its been so fun putting together different hairstyles as my hair grows back out. I am looking forward to my next appointment!

I Love ❤️ this salon. They are always looking out for their clients. They treat your hair like it’s their own hair. Lea is Amazing!!! My hair wasn’t growing for years, but once I started going to get my hair treated, styled and cut, my hair has grown so much. I swear she has blessed hands! I came to Salon D’Amore by reading a review on Facebook. When I came in my hair needed serious help. I started working with Ray to get it healthy again and back to what I love. He listens to everything you say, is honest in his opinions and makes magic happen. The rest of the staff is so nice and friendly and makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this Salon. I go to Ray as does my daughter now and my husband sees Dorothy and she does a great job in his hair too. They are always learning the latest in hair, you can’t go wrong with any of the stylists here.

I have been doing my own hair coloring & cutting for over 10 years . Ive been to many salon & never got what I wanted . I sent my mom to Dorothy & saw the Amazing job she did & how she transformed my moms hair into a gorgeous color & cut . Her hair is so healthy now . I decided to go . I spoke with Dorothy & told her my idea of the color I was thinking . She looked at me & my skin tone & knowing Ive always been a Blonde & suggested something different . I was open & trusted her . Omg I have never been happier !!! I absolutely Love the color The cut & she even did a Glaze . My hair is so healthy & Everyone loves the color !!! Dorothy is so talented & educated !!! I have been seeing Dorothea for years and I have followed her until she opened her own beautiful salon. I love her work, she is very attentive and caring and knows your hair and what to do for you. Ray is AMAZING. Most knowledgeable, funny, detailed person I've ever been to. He did my cut/ color/ blowout absolutely perfect and took his time to make sure everything was how I wanted it. I will definitely be going back to him forever hahaha.
