For over 20+ years as a neighbor. All the men do in the shop is taunt tourists and neighbors. Running their mouths of gossip, and blasting their music as if they’re the only store in town. The women are much quieter than the male barbershop but still not respectful to every creed or queer identified person passing by, if anything they scare off customers by being gruesome.

This salon was very unprofessional I came in side March 18th on Friday to get my hair done and I asked the owner how much was a wash and rollers and she told me 35 but she didn’t feel like putting my hair into the rollers she was very rude talking about me negative in Spanish calling me negra I speak Spanish as well and had the whole salon staring at me because she didn’t want to take the time to put rollers in my hair and none of her employees as well . They are nasty and can make someone feel very uncomfortable. I am the customer and I know how my hair is and that’s how I wanted my hair done . The first time I went they were nice to me because I was speaking Spanish back to them but then when I went in today she was being very rude because I was asking her in English and she was acting as if I couldn’t afford the 35 dollar hair style the last time I went I gave her a 20 dollar tip for doing my hair never again bad service 👎🏾

I usually don’t do this but this place used to be very nice from what I thought I used to go there years ago before I did a big chop and cut off all my damaged hair , I actually went there to cut off my hair and haven’t returned since I got my curls back . I went to give them a try because I wanted to trim my ends and when I went I was called ugly “ Fea “ in Spanish and they thought I would spend my money there , I would never return and I will not be quiet about this .

I will say that this has been the best hair salon Iv'e encountered in New York! I have visited a couple of times and each time a different hair stylist has done my hair, if you go... you can go with your eyes closed and sit on anyones chair; All of the ladies do an AMAZING JOB! On the other hand, Dominican hair stylists are know for dealing with "pelo malo" which translates to: bad hair, and this place truly enforces that statement because they will know the right treatment to do on your hair, right temperature and the perfect haircut. Furthermore, my mother compliments me each time that I attend this hair salon because of how shiny my hair will looks afterwards.
