Claire was so sweet and entertaining during the long process of Japanese straightening. It was my first time getting the treatment and she answered all my questions and helped me feel comfortable. My hair has never been so smooth or straight and still feels healthy and full, I'll definitely be going back for another treatment!

I wish I could give 0 start. Please stay away from this Salon. The owner Claire Kim moved my appointment time and date over and over again, each time one week apart. First on Saturday one week late, then she changed the time, then she asked another week Saturday without saying anything except there is an "emergency". Take it or .... off. If you want to be treated like this feel free to go!

It's been several weeks since I got the Japanese hair straightening treatment here, and WOW, it has been looking amazing and totally held up even after washing! I have thick, long, biracial hair that is not easy to deal with, but Claire knew exactly what she was doing. Very experienced and friendly; you'll be in good hands if you go to her!

This was the first time that I had done my hair with Claire, and I absolutely loved her! This was my first time doing a Balayage and she took the time to explain the process of the change of my hair. I am someone who really doesn't know what looks best for my own hair, and it was easy to trust Claire and her suggestion. When I needed to revitalize my hair after too many years of bleaching Claire came to my rescue! I scrolled through and spoke with many a hair stylist who did not seem to have much range before finally finding Claire and I can honestly say that I have never been happier with my naturally brunette hair. On top of her versatile talent she is transparent about costs and style upkeep, comfortable being chatty or quiet, and keeps a stack of snacks on hand always. Queer friendly, hard working, and punctual to boot. Get in her calendar now before she's forced to be more exclusive with her prices.

Claire is absolutely amazing! She was recommended to me by my friend and I’m sooo happy I found her. I’ve had several bad experience with highlights and bayalage. This was NOT one of them. Claire was able to give me the soft, blended look that is not brassy and the ash blond I wanted. I have Asian hair with red and orange undertones so typical highlights make my hair look super brassy. Claire took her time to make sure she got all the orange out of my hair before toner. The result was EXACTLY what I wanted. She really took her time and didn’t rush the process. She was also very easy to talk to and didn’t seem fazed by me asking for a lighter color. Will definitely be back soon.

I wanted to get a body wave for my fine straight hair but was a little nervous about getting one as I don't know how it will turn out. Claire takes a look at my hair immediately knew what she needed to do and I just had to trust her and boy did she deliver! My hair looked amazing, like it was naturally wavy. The best compliment I got was "Oh you didn't 'straighten' your hair today, the curls are much better!" That's how natural the wavy hair perm turned out! Highly recommend her, will be back again!

If you’re an Asian dude and have been in Austin for a while, you are probably familiar with how hard it could be to find someone to cut your hair. Fortunately, since I started going to Claire, I stopped worrying about where to get a haircut. She knows how to do styles that are popular in the States (e.g undercuts etc) and also styles that you see more in Asia (e.g longer, perms) I’m from New York and had good stylists there. Claire is definitely up there and I look forward to getting a cut every month!

Absolutely AMAZING service!! I just moved to Texas and I was recommended to Claire by my friends/roommates. I’m so glad I went! Best service I’ve had. Was very thorough in the cut I was getting, making sure my hair was even (it had been a mess and all over the place). Wonderful customer service. I have found my new stylist here and will continue to go back often. Also, the products I bought for hair and skin have also been great and done wonders for me! I can’t recommend this business and stylist enough!

Claire is very professional, friendly and knowledgable. I've been visiting her for about a year now, and have only had good experiences. Have gone to her for style advice several times, and been always been very satisfied with the results! Also, she shows a lot of care for her customers. To help her visitors feel safe, she made sure to keep extra masks, as well as plenty of sanitizer on hand, and wiped down every surface between visits to provide peace of mind. I really appreciate that extra effort given. Would highly recommend giving Claire a visit!

Hands down best hair stylist I ever met. I went from being a simp to walking out of friend zone just because of her hair cut. Home girl got so many style at her arsenal she can do any style you prefer. Not only that, she takes time to get to know your hair. This is NOT a 5-10 minute hair cut and you out! Claire actually study your hair while she cut and she tells you what works and what don’t. If there’s a problem she actually try to do her best to come close. Not once have I ever left unhappy. It got to the point where boys hate me and ladies want to know my secret! (Seriously, they all ask where did I get my perm done ) I’ve been her customer for almost a year and we talk like buddies. She’s the chillest person I’ve met and I always come back to get my hair cut done here. So if you’re Simping out or just trying to look the part, Book an appointment! I met Claire a year ago when I first moved to Austin. Since then, I’ve had my hair done cut/styled and colored several times! I’m pretty particular when it comes to hair cuts and color, but Claire doesn’t disappoint. She’s professional and takes time to do your hair well. It’s not just about the money but the quality that comes out her work. She puts the thought and care into it, and will find ways to accommodate to your hair style preferences. She’s also pretty punctual ,organized and so kind. I am so lucky to have her as my personal stylist, and I’d recommend her to anyone! The quality is great and it’s worth the money.

With all the genuineness in the world, I have to say that this young woman is the definition of talent. I will never get my haircut somewhere else unless you put a gun to my head! Claire Kim never disappoints - each cut is simply perfect. My style is probably difficult to work with, as I often come in with a head of hair so massively fried from bleach that is resembles burnt grass. She make it look amazing and fun, and after each appointment my self esteem rises a notch. :) She's very open to suggestions, but will tell you if something won't work. It also helps that she's extremely fun to talk to, and I love getting her suggestions on music, movies, etc. I think the most important thing about her is that she cares. I don't just feel like a customer she's ready to get in and out, but more so each visit is akin to seeing a friend. Seriously, give her a shot. She'll be your number 1, I promise!
