I had the absolute pleasure of getting my hair done by Ori, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! From the moment I sat in the chair, I felt so at ease. Ori is not only incredibly talented but also so sweet and personable!! The haircut itself is perfection. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and then worked her magic to create a cut that’s flattering, stylish, and just what I needed. What truly impressed me, though, was how much Ori taught me about hair health. She explained what products I should be using, how to care for my hair, and shared tips on how to keep it healthy and strong. I left not only with a fantastic haircut but also with a wealth of knowledge about how to care for my hair going forward. Ori is awesome, and I will absolutely be coming back to her!

Edda and Ody took great care of me! Had a transition challenge hair style that Edda got my vision, filled in where I lacked and did best cut ever! And the added convenience of a full nail spa in the basement - Ody rocked my pedi which is all I had time for - money well spent!

I just had my first appointment at the salon for a haircut with Ori and let me tell you, it was amazing. From the relaxing hair wash by Mariana, the very attentive and welcoming front desk, and Ori being so kind and detail oriented, I’m very impressed. I absolutely recommend them and can’t wait to come back to try their other services and of course have Ori do my hair again.

I saw Sylvia for a haircut super last minute and she was incredible. I needed her to fix a haircut I didn’t like from another salon and she jumped right in and did exactly what I was wanting. Really great service and fair prices.

I've known Edda herself for more than a decade. So glad to have her and her staff help me look my best. I enjoy the vibe in the salon. (Come early to find parking. It's challenging, but I always find a spot on the street and use the Park Chicago to pay.)

UPDATE: Zero Stars. The salon owner claims I did or said something unacceptable in her salon. AFTER SIX YEARS greeting me with hugs and kisses and smiles?!? Sharing uncountable intimate moments from our personal lives that I now see was only marketing, never sincere. This woman, who claims that democracy is important to her, sadly, is repeating a lie about which she asked me not one question. Someone said something to someone and that was enough for this woman to execute -- in her non-democratic manner - her pretense of caring about her clients, and more importantly in this instance, caring about democracy. She acted as is done in some very undesirable places to live in this world. She accused, judged, convicted and sentenced without one call to talk with me. Not one word passing between us, not one question after more than six years of patronizing this salon, much longer than those currently gossiping behind the backs of clients to the owner. But you know, the right thing always happens. I'm very appreciative and grateful to be reunited with one of the (many and) most talented hair people to have exited her revolving door. It's always best to know what really lives in people's hearts. PS This person who claims they want to "set the record straight" --- make their "record setting straight" statement about money. Big surprise.There is ZERO effort to set the record straight about what I said or did, which she still does not even know. They know nothing about an accusation she heard second or third (who knows) fourth hand, and acted on, didn't check out for herself - just accused, judged, convicted and sentenced. Excellent example for a so called mentor to make. ORIGINAL REVIEW TO WHICH THE OWNER DOUBLED DOWN AND REPEATED HER LIES.: The revolving door of "stylists" is dizzying. One never knows when a call will come to change your appointment - within days of the appointment. I had that happen several times. Last visit I had to ask this novice doing my hair for the third or fourth time, for something I wanted done to break up my highlights and she STILL didn't or couldn't do it. One thing she DID do? Cut my bangs wrong. W R O N G. During the pandemic, the salon owner informed clients there would be a surcharge to cover their added expense of making the salon "covid safe." Ok. That's fair. And when the pandemic was over? You think the owner brought the prices back to where they were? Nope. They're among those price gougers who use covid to artificially inflate their prices well past the stated need for the increase. Generally, overall, completely over-priced. As far as this place being a "spa," it's not even close. It's a hair and nail salon with a revolving door problem. One I'll never enter again.

I’ve been coming to Salon Edda for about a year and a half now to see Gricel and I just can’t go anywhere else. She’s great at what she does and is so fun and friendly. Everyone at the salon is so kind and wonderful. I love it here.

I got a pedicure here. The staff is very friendly and professional. And the quality was nice. I didn't like that the seats were located downstairs so no windows, and I didn't see any disposable cover for the basins that you put your feet in. That could be improved to help with sanitary measures.

Absolutely love this place!! I have been coming here for the past year and as long as I’m in Chicago I’ll never go anywhere else. The staff is so kind, professional, and welcoming and the owner Edda is just wonderful. Sylvia does a BEAUTIFUL job on my hair every time. Prices are also very fair!!

Edda is the absolute best! She has been my hairstylist for the past 2 years. Beyond being an amazing hairstylist, she really takes the time to understand her clients and who they are. She really listens and makes sure you leave 100% satisfied. She and her staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed the minute you walk into the salon. I am so thankful to have found such an amazing salon to go to!

Extremely impressed with the service I received today at Salon Edda from Ori and Edda. I came in with what I suspected was very color damaged hair from another salon and left with significantly healthier hair as well as new knowledge on how I should be taking care of my hair moving forward and next steps to continue treating the color damage. I would absolutely recommend this salon and they have gained a new loyal client in me!

I got haircut & highlights done today by Oriana and she did a great job , she also gives you tips on how to care for your hair after highlights . Great envoirnment, clean salon and every single staff member is Friendly and welcoming. Edda is truely amazing, Kind hearted and very caring professionally and personally . She caters to your hair and provides individual attention based upon your specific needs. LOVED IT !!!

My sister was visiting from out of town and shared she wanted to improve her look as she's currently job hunting. She has very curly hair and told me she has had a hard time finding someone to cut her hair the way she likes. I suggested she visit Salon Edda. Everyone is welcoming and kind at Salon Edda. From the reception desk to the stylists. Edda answers every question asked and pays special attention to detail. She is also considerate and respectful of my budget concerns. My extensions look amazing! She matched the color perfectly. Ori also did an awesome job on my touch up color.

I was looking for a hijab friendly salon, and found out about Eddas salon through google search, so I give them a call and they were very welcoming and friendly.. Edda promised me to make a step for me and my step daughters by covering the door and windows and no men workers would be on the set while we are doing our hair.. she promised and she delivered. She was very welcoming and her team were very nice to us.. I know I will be going back to see her again. Thank you Edda for everything 💛
