Let me just start by saying this is probably the best salon I’ve been to in the city. I got a facial with Kat and a hair conditioning treatment with Sonia. They are the most calm and cool, educative. Kat truly makes you feel heard and comfortable. She also did my eyebrows and for the first time in 30 years I feel like I don’t have to wear a ton of make up to hide them. I can bring out the true beauty in me. I just love it. They don’t push you to do stuff or buy their products only recommend the best thing for you. Staff is amazing, the cleanliness and vibe is so perfect. Cozy, convenient and they have coffee! Not to mention the front desk associate offered me a beverage and was very welcoming whilst being a busy Saturday morning. I will definitely be returning. Thank you guys!

I was referred to this salon by a friend and it did not disappoint. The service was great. Jalissa was very friendly and gave us excellent customer service. I was satisfied with my haircut.

Owner was very rude but the girls at the front are so kind. I don’t recommend giving your money to the owner though

Our Lord and Savior, Paul. I initially found Salon Envy because I had a hair nightmare at Aveda Institute and called a local salon nearby that was willing to take me in within the hour. Paul saved the day and I've been coming back to him ever since! He remembered every detail about me and definitely knows his stuff as he's been in the business for almost 10 years. I used to dread haircuts growing up but Paul makes me look forward to them now!

I came in for a Cezanne treatment and absolutely loved my stylist Destiny. She was very honest, and meticulous. I encountered an issue with my treatment (no fault of theirs) and the salon manager was extremely kind, communicative and all around very understanding to remedy the issue. I would definitely recommend this salon for any hair treatments or haircuts.

I recently got a Cezanne keratin treatment with Destiny and she did an amazing job!! The salon was able to accommodate me last minute, and was very friendly upon arrival. Destiny answered all my questions and walked me through what the entire process would entail before we even got started. She was quick, efficient, and fun to talk to! I am so happy with the Cezanne treatment as I have very curly and hard to manage hair. Its' been over a week and it is working out exactly how Destiny explained. I will absolutely go back for another one. Thank you!

Worse experience I have ever had in my entire life. Staff is so unprofessional. Emma, who works the front desk thought she put me on hold but she didn’t and I heard her talking down on and bad mouthing me. I have never had this kind of interaction before with anyone in any industry. I am so let down and would never come here or recommend to anyone.

I got a Balayage with Destiny and she did an amazing job! She did exactly what I showed her in the picture. Very happy with the result. My only complain (to the salon, not the stylist), is that they charge $30 extra to blow dry your hair (for a simple rough blow dry)!!! How am I supposed to see how the color turned out if I leave the salon with my hair wet? This is so ridiculous. I've never seen anything like this in my life. Blow drying should be included in the price when getting color done.

Highly recommend Paul! My first time at the salon and I feel like we are old pals. He asked a few questions to be able to give the perfect hair cut and style. He made product recommendations without any pressure too. I have wavy hair and he knew exactly how to make it curl per my request.

I had terrible customer service from the receptionist desk today. I had an apt scheduled at 4pm today with Jalissa who I have really enjoyed but was unfortunately unable to make my commitment this afternoon. I called the salon yesterday at 2pm and left a voicemail letting the salon know that I needed to cancel and that I wanted to rebook for later this week or next pending availability. Today at 4:12 I got a call from the salon asking where I was - I informed them that I called to cancel yesterday and I could no longer make it. I was put on hold while presumably the receptionist went looking for my voicemail. They informed that they received my voicemail but that they had called me this morning and left me a voicemail (which I did not receive a missed call or voicemail) to ask me when I wanted to reschedule. As I did not receive the call or voicemail I did not call them back. I asked for documentation that they called me but they “have a landline that doesn’t track that.” They have now charged me a $100+ late fee due to the 24hr cancelation policy (which I called in advance of) because according to the receptionist “we weren’t sure when you wanted to reschedule for so we didn’t cancel your appointment”. Even though I obviously wouldn’t have called to cancel if I wanted to keep my 4pm appointment today….and they received the call. I went back and forth with the receptionist multiple times trying to understand why a voicemail 26hrs in advance of an appt asking to cancel and reschedule wasn’t sufficient and why they needed to confirm with me before cancelling an appointment (even though I didn’t receive the confirmation attempt). On Monday I also tried to cancel my appt via the confirmation email and online but was unsuccessful because the only option is to “confirm appointment”. I will not be returning to this salon

I have been following Eric everywhere he goes. I couldn’t be happier that he is at a salon that is super cute and convenient to get to! With that said, Eric always gets it right while maintaining the integrity of my hair as he started to take me blonde. I couldn’t be happier with the results. He did air touch highlights and a toner and I’m in love!!!! It’s the perfect ashy blonde I’ve been striving for. Thank you Eric and Salon Envy!

I have been going to Eric David for my hair for 5 years. I will follow him to any location! He is the absolute best with color and listening/understanding what I want. Visited Salon Envy tonight for the first time and Eric was AMAZING! I got one the best haircuts i've had in quite some time. I explained the cut I was looking for and it was executed to perfection! I was also recommended some products that would work well with my hair type which is always a plus! I had such a wonderful experience and I look forward to booking again with Eric!

What a gem of a salon to have in the Lincoln Park neighborhood! I had a "hair emergency" and tried tape-in extensions for the first time for a special occasion this summer. I needed to have the tapes reinstalled and Destiny was patient with me and educated me on how to care for them, helped do emergency "hair surgery"-- and juggled her schedule and helped to fit me in when I had some issues with the extensions during a difficult week when I had just suffered a loss in my family. Destiny and her colleagues are just a treasure for their patience and kindness. Thank you Destiny for coming to my hair rescue and thank you to the Salon Envy team for being so kind, thoughtful, and helping me learn a new world! You are all awesome and I appreciate you!
