This is in reference to a post made by Good bye I never ever would respond to a review it's not my way but that is her side of the story here is my side , I had a sudden death in my family and that is the reason she was cancelled last minute. Instead of this client worrying about her selfishness she should get the information before posting something about me. Get your information correct before you try and tarnish my name. For the clients who know me and are still with me all these years I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I wouldn't be here without all of you. I hope everyone has a beautiful blessed day. I made an appointment the Sunday before Christmas to get my hair colored and blown out that way it’s fresh for the holidays. I usually go with Valbonna but since she is out of the country I settled with Matt. One hour before my appointment the salon called to tell me that Matt was unwell and had to go home early. I was disappointed because I’ve been going here for years and before the holidays I feel this was a very unfair move on the salons part to Not take into consideration the clients time. I do however understand that things happen. So I quickly went to another salon that was able to fix my hair and the new salon actually told me that my color was messed up very badly and they went through a long process to fix the damage. From that moment I didn’t want to work with salon evolution 2 anymore because the poor work quality. Fast forward to the day after Christmas I told my family member to book with another salon because of what happened with my appointment being canceled an hour before (And her time is considerably more important because she has children) but despite my pleas she continued to book with Matt. She called to confirm the appointment since she went out of her way for this appointment. 30 minutes before the appointment the salon called to cancel. Now that I’m reading reviews I can see this is a regular thing at this salon. They ended up giving her Julia because she explained this is unprofessional and she needs an accommodation but tell me how it would’ve worked when Julia does blow outs and it was a color appointment. Please make it make sense. My family member ended up leaving without her hair done for the new year. This was highly unprofessional and I’m sorry to say but the salon lost two loyal clients. They have poor customer service.

Service was trash. Had an appointment for 11:00 AM, I waited some time because I know not all appointments can run exactly on time. 45 minutes go by I ask how much longer before being seen, receptionist says “Oh you can go in the back and get your hair washed.” So you didn’t think to tell me this when I first walked in instead of making me sit for 45 minutes while you’re just talking? After the wash I waited another 40 minutes to get the blow out. The blow out itself was okay I’ve had better done to be honest. Julia was still very nice that’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. At this time it was already 12:50 mind you I tell them I have to pick my son up from school at 1 pm, which in reality is really 2 but I just wanted to get out of there already. Comes to paying they told me over the phone the special with Julia is $20 for the wash & blowout, they even have big signs on their window stating it. But the receptionist come and tell me $31.35? I didn’t even argue with her because I just wanted to get out but you can advertise a certain price then wanna change it when it comes time to pay. Overall experience here sucked and I would definitely not be returning.

I have been to this salon 4 times now and 2 out of the 4 the price was upped when it came to paying. A good job they will do but they are not honest the first time they increased the price claiming a wash wasn’t included and the second time because my hair was mid length and they blew it wavy not straight (Even though I asked for straight) I am happy with their work but it’s very upsetting to get a price and then it doubles when it comes to paying with bs reasons leaves a bad taste.

Made an appointment on Tuesday for the $20 blowout for this Thursday at 2pm and I get a call from the salon at 11:30 am telling me that Julia who does the blow out is not in today. I explain that I have a wedding tonight and is there anyone covering her appointments and the “manager” tells me no. They do not have coverage or anyone to take me. So now 2 hours before I’m supposed to come in I now have nowhere to get my hair. If you have a stylist who calls out you should have coverage for your customers. You have now messed up my whole day by not offering the service for my inconvenience. The manager who I was speaking to did not seem to care and kept explaining that she had to call all these appointments. That’s not my problem. You should have someone cover her appointments. Horrible customer service

I went on Saturday to get my hair blown out. The girl that blowout my hair was great. The problem is I thought that the blowout was going to be $20.00. There is two large signs that say blowouts $20.00. When I went to pay THEY SAID IT WAS $36.00. I asked why and he told me that you have to go to the hairdresser that charges $20.00. I was never told this when I made my appointment. That is false advertising. I will never go back to them again.

Went with a friend to both get cuts. Requested soft layered trim and instead received a blunt, uneven straight cut. Way too expensive for such a poor outcome. Never again.

After losing my hair dresser because she moved away I took a leap and went back to Salon Evolution 2. After making an appointment for single process and hair cut for 5 pm on a Weds (made the appointment a week prior) they called me ON THE DAY OFF the appt. to say that appointment was too late (mind you the appointment took 15 minutes to make) . They asked me to come in at 3pm!!!!!! I had an event this Saturday. The receptionist also had no phone etiquette and sounded like a child while speaking to me. I will never go back there, and they just lost me and my family as clients. Disgusting.

Do not go here! Matt regularly shows up 15 -30 minutes late and during my most recent appointment he rushed me through a double process color appointment and didn’t finish the job. He told me to come back two days later and when I called to make sure he would be there for my appointment I was told that he wasn’t working that day.

Do yourself a favor and do not go here. Matt has actual temper issues and humiliated me in front of everyone for asking to get a certain shade of color. The hygiene is also very poor. The worst salon experience I have had, terrible customer service, they will mess up your hair.

Crystal! Need I say more? Yes, I do. I was losing my hair for multiple reasons. Crystal adjusted my color, gave me a treatment, conditioned my hair and I went home. That was seven years ago. I have very long and healthy hair now. As a matter of fact, it grows so fast I need to see her every three weeks for my color. I’m well over 30, okay over 40… that’s all you’re getting because the point is that Crystal can work wonders - not with smoke and mirrors and temporary fixes, but with skill and knowledge and talent. Thank you, Crystal, for making my tresses beautiful again. My husband thanks you, too. Oh, and she’s funny, too! Always terrific conversation and a positive experience in every way. Thank you, Crystal, and Salon Evolution 2!

I am a stylist at Salon evolution 2. Salon Evolution 2 is on top of all covid-19 safety regulations. Stylists are all wearing masks and socially distancing from each other. Hand sanitizer is spread out throughout the salon, stations are cleaned after every client leaves. Come to Salon Evolution 2 and receive a wonderful experience for your hair. You've waited long enough now it's time to look and steel beautiful again.

I had a great experience I’ve been to crystal 3 times for 3 completely different styles and loved each one she made me feel comfortable through the whole experience and my color came out amazing all 3 times!! i was driving down Avenue U and i saw this salon and decided to give it a try ; i came in asking for a simple single process color and a blowout . . . i got the stylist Crystal and i must say, it was the best decision i have ever made in my life ! the knowledge of Crystal was incredible!!! i told her what my budget was and she worked with me every single step of the way! not only did she work with my budget she also hanged my mind about my color.... i usually get the darkest black and she told me that i should try to go a dark brown and add some highlight; i was very skeptical about this transition but i trusted her and not only did i spend 3 1/2 hours in her chair but my hair felt so silky smooth and the haircut... OMG! just amazing. i typically get a straight cut with no layers and she gave me incredible short layers and left my length long ! i couldn’t be more happy with my new stylist ! also a wonderful welcoming staff ! everyone made me feel beautiful as i walked past and honestly i think that’s a major key at salons ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ; thank you Crystal for the amazing color and cut ❤️
