Salon Frank Paul resides in the cozy turn of the century house that has been home since 1982. It is conveniently located less than a mile south of downtown Colorado Springs and less than a mile east of the Broadmoor Hotel and off exit 140 on Interstate Highway 25. The decor is art deco with an antique flavor – or as it is known now, urban luxury. The atmosphere is friendly and open. Our clients say they not only come for the outstanding talent but the great feeling they have when they leave. We strive to make you feel at home and comfortable. Frank did my perm in August and I was pleased as punch! I am ready for another perm, and will call him in the morning of November 30, 2023.

Frank is Amazing! I took my girls today for haircuts and he was so good with them. He has patience and he very kind. He was ready before we arrived and definitely knows what he is doing. We can’t wait to go back!

I definitely recommend going anywhere else for hair color or highlights. I didn’t go in with any specific instructions except I wanted blonde highlights. I came out with VERY copper colored hair. When I complained he had me come back but only made the copper color darker. After he made the copper color darker (made it redder) I was told he never uses blonde coloring. I certainly wish he had said that in the beginning. It’s costing me twice as much as I’ve ever paid for hair color or highlights to get this fixed plus what I paid him. And there is the wasted time. Hours of wasted time. I am extremely angry with this salon and its misrepresentations. Save yourself the trouble and humiliation. Just go somewhere else. Re your comments: Yes, I was very happy to leave since I was so uncomfortable. The phone call on Mother's Day while I was having Mother's Day brunch with the family with offer to remove the color only that afternoon was as inappropriate as the color. But your response below is appropriate given the disrespect and disregard I was shown. Why would anyone turn a person's hair reddish orange when they asked for blonde? It can only be disrespect and disregard combined with some greed. There is no reason to treat any customer like this. Again, my advice is for everyone to go anywhere else since there isn't a chance of being treated with respect and consideration here.

Kelly is an extreme artist at color and styling! For almost 40 years now. I drive 2 hours each way to have Kelly do my hair and wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks Kelly, you're absolutely the best!

Excited to finally get a chance to review this amazing place. Salon Frank Paul is awesome. Kelly and Frank are both so nice and inviting. Even when I felt nervous to talk (I've never been to a barbshop before) Kelly was extremely kind, and very ready to conversate about anything I could come up with. They were both incredibly nice and I couldn't be happier with my hair. I went in with extremely long very straight hair.. Per Kelly's suggestion for the perm I wanted. we took about a foot off, and after that started the perming process. My hair came out huge, and very curly just like I always dreamed! Its not been a month and a half, and while not insaley curly (possilby due to me learning how to take care of it) It's definitely not straight, and has held amazing and beautifully!! These guys are so nice and very very experienced. I will never go to another barbershop/hair place again as long as they are open/I live here. If you're looking to get your hair done look no further, because these guys are the real deal :)

I absolutely adore my new cut. Hair felt limp and thin after pregnancy so I decided to try the "Chemical Curl" which turned out awesome. If you're feeling a little...drab... give them a call! I love the cool building, plenty of parking and the owners are friendly and very kind. Frank expertly cut my hair to frame my face and took care of the annoying bangs I was growing out so they now look like they are intentional. I liked the cut so much BEFORE the curlers went in that I thought about canceling my request for the treatment, but I'm SO glad I didn't. I can't say enough great things about my experience and I feel like a new woman with bouncy fun curls. Got tons of compliments - Frank really knows how to bring out your best features. He's expert level, for sure. Perms are back, ladies! Go get yours ;)

Super friendly workers, I got the feeling they are more of a barbershop than a salon. They washed hair but didn't style at the end, at least they blow dried my hair. The shop was clean and nice inside, there was parking in the back so you don't have to worry about that.

This is honestly the only place I love to get a hair cut! The interior design of the place is a little retro but it has a nice feel and the hair cuts I have received here are very classy and speak for themselves. Kelly is my personal favourite go-to hairdresser and he is absolutely wonderful! He is really adaptive to my schedule and once even was able to fit me in on the same day I call to ask his availability. He also honors all requests: an "inch off" is really just an inch off, and he is willing to use no heat on your hair as well! He will not use some crazy modern tools that strip, ruin, and thin your hair! If you are tired of trying hairdressers and being sad about the results or you just simply want you hair to be feeling and looking as healthy as possible, this is the place!

Salon Frank-Paul is an unsung gem in Ivywild, on trhe west side of Tejon just south of Brookside. Frank and Kelly are the the two primary hair stylists though others come and go. Their prices are reasonable, and their work is exceptional, and this has been my style shop for at least a decade.
