If you can't do the job, just say so. Instead of charging an arm and a leg for a job you couldn't and didn't even do. Any self-respecting salon would not have charged the full price for a job they couldn't even get done--BUT for weeks promised they could. It's like paying $$$$ for just a simple trim.

I have been going to Jackie Sowards for years .. She does wonders with my hair. No matter where she is i follow her because she is the greatest hairstylist and so much more : kind, funny, considerate and caring . My hair has never looked or felt better. I always get nice compliments from people who want to know where do i go for my hair ! Jackie is an expert in haircuts, coloring, highlights, Keratin .. you name it ! she is very knowledgeable about the latest techniques and products and I always trust that she will take care of my hair. I can not say enough about how much I love the way she cares about the end results. It is always such a treat !

I have been seeing Jackie for my hair for over 15 years because she is so amazing. She is accommodating to my schedule- I give her a range of days and times and she tells me what works. Jackie is so great with my hair needs and styling habits-- taking these into account with the cuts she gives me. She suggests products that she personally uses. She is personable and really funny, making the time fly by!

Jackie has expertly guided me through numerous styles, from highlights and all-over color to balayage and various cuts. She truly understands my vision and consistently delivers stunning results that earn me countless compliments, all while maintaining the health of my hair. No matter how tall my order is, I always leave the salon happy. The salon itself offers a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, filled with natural light, a great selection of magazines, and complimentary beverages. Plus, parking is always a breeze. Highly recommended!

Jackie and the whole team at Salon Hex are consistently the best! I have been going to Jackie for decades, and you cannot ask for or find anyone better at what they do; from cuts to curls to color, consultations, treatments, and styling, Jackie is who you want! Listening, understanding, and creativity are key attributes that any professional stylist should have for success, and the team at Salon Hex have them in spades. I've been tended to by others at the salon and can say that everyone at Salon Hex is great at what they do. From a logistics standpoint, Salon Hex has really great parking; there's plenty of street parking, but there's also a large parking lot with good lighting and easy access. The salon has a great atmosphere and is a really comfortable space. I highly recommend going here!

Jackie has been doing my hair for over a decade! Hex is a great spot - good location, parking available and a nice atmosphere. Relaxing and cool. Jackie is great - makes my hair look awesome and is a great person. She listens to my concerns and always finds the right balance between what I think I want and what she thinks will work/look best. Go see her for color and haircuts - she’s the best!

Jackie is the best hairstylist I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She saved my hair from my poor planning right before my wedding 6 years ago and I’ve never seen anyone else since. I tell people she’s a magician. Every time I get my haircut by Jackie, it comes out unique and beautiful. These days I travel out of state just to see her and my husband now does the same. Truly the most amazing talent with hair, I cannot recommend her enough!

I see Irene and she is the absolute best. She always tells me how to make what I want look best for me and does incredible color work. All the other stylists are super nice and helpful. I love the atmosphere and all the local art on the wall. A great place to get your dream hair!

Irene has been coloring and cutting my hair for 20 years now. She got the color and cut exactly right. I followed her regardless of location of the salon she worked in Chicago. Irene is the most talented stylist I ever met. I have received so many compliments on my hair every time after seeing her. It's such a great feeling knowing your hairstylist knows exactly what to do and in addition Irene is a hip and fun person to be around.

I was searching for a new barber after I had moved and was having a really hard time finding someone I could trust to fill the shoes of my beloved old barber. I have what some may say is a complicated haircut. and I take a lot of pride in my appearance. When I found Margo she literally changed my life!! I always had a nice haircut but people were coming out of the woodwork to compliment my fresh fade and perfect pompadour. I hope Margo cuts my hair forever, she's the best. She does things that a barber just does not do. Also the salon is totally cool and everyone who works there are great too! 10/10 Margo, would absolutely recommend!
