I cannot say enough good things about Megan. She is absolutely incredible and talented! She’s so warm, friendly, and easy to talk to, which made the entire experience so much more relaxing. Megan really took the time to listen to what I wanted, and her expertise and attention to detail were clear from the start. She gave me a cut that brought me to a cool new era. What sets Megan apart is that I know I never have to worry when I’m in her chair. Salon Hyde Park is a beautiful salon and everyone is so kind. Lucy was my stylist and she is so good at what she does! You can tell that she loves doing hair and has such a good eye for coloring and what type of haircut would look good with your features. Would definitely recommend her!

I went here last year to get my hair done before my sisters funeral for highlights with one stylist and she had no idea what she was doing so Libby took over and did my whole head. I ended up having to pay that stylists price which was nearly $400 and I felt so scammed because I was prepared to pay like $160 for the stylist I booked with. I left with mid highlights and sooo much hair damage I’m still dealing with. It was honestly really traumatic and I still think about how ripped off I got a year later.

Geo is incredible! Talk about a knowledgeable colorist & caring stylist! From consultation to completion, he was outstanding in his attention & execution of my vision. I am highly selective of who I go to for my hair, & faithful when I find a match. I recently moved from Atlanta & was worried to find someone, but Geo checked all of my boxes. <^.^>

I didn’t receive a service here but just wanted to acknowledge how nice the staff is!! I was having car problems and they welcomed me in while I was waiting and dealing with it. All the ladies were very nice and comforting.

I moved to Tampa 11 months ago and have struggled to find a stylist and salon that understands ash blond. Worse than finding new doctors!! We all know how it feels to not like our hair - nothing else works. Well, the third time (salon) was a charm!! Libby at Salon Hyde Park is amazing!! She listened to what I wanted and then delivered! She knew exactly what I was describing, showed me a couple insta pics and we were on the same page. I love my hair and it felt so nice to be at a salon and not be stressed. I cannot recommend Libby more!!!! 5 of 5 STARS!! Thank you Libby!

Edit to respond to “Owner” since I can’t figure out how to “respond again.” I saw Katie twice. March 20 & April 23. Katie can confirm that. You’re likely looking at vagaro and seeing three appointments yet two are for the same date. March 20 was the full turned partial and April 23, the horrendous base break. So no, I shouldn’t be aware of pricing since I had drastically different services and was provided no quote. I’ll pay whatever so long as I don’t feel taken advantage of or my hair isn’t destroyed. It’s when those happen, then an issue arises. Charging for a full and only doing a partial is wrong. But I liked what the top half of my head looked like so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and returned for the base break. Furthermore, I was intentionally leaving her name out of this out of respect bc as a person, I do like her, which is why I returned for the base break to give it another try! I am completely unaware of any previous “5 star review,” unless it was from 20 years ago when I think I went to the salon for a homecoming or prom updo. But I don’t think Google reviews were around then. So likely a common line to rebut. I am echoing what a prior reviewer stated who was called “fake,” and I am only writing this because I had the same experience. Granted, common sense tells me it’s an account they created to post their honest review anonymously. I will preface this with the stylist did issue refunds for both services, but customers should be aware of the price scam. I will also keep the stylsist name out of it because I believe it’s the owner who sets the prices on the websites, etc. The advertised prices are NOT even close to what is charged. I booked a full foil and unknowingly left with a partial and was charged $345 before tip. According to the booking site the “confirmed” price for a full is $155 and a partial $135, add on a $50 blow dry and the total should have been $180. I mention this because a few weeks later I returned to get a base break to get me through to my next foil appt. It was at that appointment she admitted she only did a partial. Additionally, I left with the worst $100+ hot roots other stylists I showed had ever seen. See below. Permanent dye was left on my roots for over 40 minutes. I am now having to do color correction steps to fix the disaster. I reached out asking it to be fixed and didn’t hear back, so at the 19th hour mark I requested a refund. Like I said, I did receive refunds, but I’ve never been so taken advantage of. Proceed with caution!

I had my haircut by Lucy and it was a great experience. She listened carefully to the cut I wanted, offered some suggestions for best way to achieve, and then executed flawlessly. She had a great personality and was easy to talk with. The cut and the experience were excellent, I would highly recommend Lucy and Salon Hyde Park.

Lucy color corrected my hair after my regular stylist over processed a gray blend highlight and I ended up with chunky highlights. Lucy did a root melt and all over gloss to get me threw the UGH phase of the grow out. Very happy with the outcome!

I moved to Tampa a few months ago and was dreading finding a new stylist. I am so glad I found Katie at Salon Hyde Park. She gave me a cut that is easy to style. Even more important, while she offers an opinion, she listens to what you want and is eager for you to leave happy.

So I came to this salon a while ago but the memory popped back up and felt inclined to leave a review. I decided to pop up for a hair cut, my hair was still damp as i had recently washed it. I asked for a stylist that was highly recommend in the reviews. She was really nice but I felt that the overall cut and experience was not the best. She trimmed just the ends, no drying no styling no nothing besides a trim. I had asked for long layers and curtain bangs. I felt like I was her last priority as she was also coloring someone’s hair. I didn’t get what I asked for and felt rushed to leave. I paid $60 for a literal 1 1/2 inch trim on my ends 😂 anywho I don’t dye my hair and it seems that is what she specializes in, I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for just a cut. Not sure if they are just different but anywhere else for a $60-$70 cut it includes a wash/cut/blowout 🤷🏽‍♀️
