Shannon is the best stylist!! I had colored my hair with box dye for 10 years and she worked a miracle on it. She highlighted it and used toner and now it's gorgeous silver blend. She did an amazing haircut too, and my hair is a challenge (thick and unevenly textured). I cannot speak highly enough about her professionalism and expertise.

It's always difficult to find someone that knows how to manage curly hair, but I was lucky enough to find Beth. I have been more than pleased after every cut, and she seems to know what I mean even when I don't know quite how to describe it. Two years passed between my first 2 appointments with her, but she remembered me like it was only 3 months. It's things like this that make Beth extra awesome! 😊

I have been going to Bethany for almost 15 yrs now. As a stylist myself I have to say she is the best in Pittsburgh. What makes her great is that she listens to what you want. Show her a picture and your walking out looking exactly like that. But if it don't fit you she's not going to lie to you and just do it. She's going to recommend you go in a different direction of what's going to look best on you. Her staff is AMAZING!!! I sit and watch in awe of the talent that's in the salon. The diversity of stylist and clients that work there made Salon Ivy ahead of the times we live in today. And I think that's what I love about it most there. I recommend this salon so much that when I stopped doing hair this is where I sent my clients. And I recommend you try them as well.

It's beautiful, clean, organized and relaxing. My stylist listened to my needs and fixed issues I had. I left looking more polished and dare I say younger. And bought their styling products to tame my frizz. Work like a charm and smell heavenly.

After having horrible experience at other salons and the stylists burning my hair or cutting it too short, Salon Ivy was recommended by a friend. I am so glad I found this little hidden gem. Nikki was amazing, did exactly what I wanted and at a fraction of the price other salons charge for the same thing (All over highlights and toner). I'm so happy I finally found a salon that I love, and has super friend staff with great prices.

Asked for a blowout with a hair dryer only no flat iron and they said that I could get exactly what I wanted when I booked it. On arrival the girl asked me what I wanted and I told her again. After my hair was washed the girl blow dried my hair into a frizzy Afro then proceeded to flat iron it. I could literally hear my hair breaking off. It was my first time there and I’m shy so it’s hard for me to speak up unless they ask me because I don’t want to be confrontational, but I was so unhappy and uncomfortable with the situation. I literally told her and the other girl, no flat iron. I don’t get what more I should have said to get that to come across to everyone. Won’t be back.

I haven’t been to a salon in over 10 years and have very dry damaged hair. I had an appointment with Nikki and she did an amazing job cutting my hair. I’m in love with how it turned out. She really took her time and asked my opinions before cutting more length off my hair. Highly recommend!

I asked for a blowout and the girl literally just brushed my hair with a blow dryer near it and then after it was a frizzy mess she flat ironed it. I asked her if they always flat iron the hair for a “BLOWOUT” and she said “Yeah!” The most painful experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon. Like she was nice but obviously does NOT know what a blow out is!! It’s literally in the name. I just paid $50 to flat iron my hair and trim the ends I could have literally done this at home and did a better job my hair is still curly in some spots on the top. WHAT A JOKE! Won’t be back.
