Christina is my go to for everything hair related, but I also have enjoyed my cuts with Danielle and Jafette when she isn't available. Jo, the co-owner is a whiz at everything brows and other beauty services!

I walked in without an appointment and was asked to come back another time. However, I was graciously welcomed by a barber that overheard, and he helped out with a quick cut anyway! I'm very grateful for the service and friendly professionalism. Thank you!!

I highly recommend both Hoa and Son. I drive over 30 minutes just to get a haircut from them, and it's always worth the trip. They are professional, and after seeing them for the past few years, they’ve become more like friends.

Went here on a whim today and set an appointment with Danielle- omg what a wonderful experience! She gave me an excellent transformation level hair cut (went from really long to a lob) and was super friendly and fun to talk to! The salon itself is quite spacious and really pretty inside. I will definitely be coming back here in the future for any hair/brow/nail needs! Thanks again Danielle!

Really amazing salon, aesthetician, and men's hair shop. The owners are really great people and members of the Denver community. They offer so many services and do a really, really excellent job with whatever you choose. I'd highly recommend them. I've been a customer for years!

Been here several times. The last time I got scammed out of $20 and I won’t be back. For anyone reading this and wants to run a business well this is how you lose customers and recurring revenue. Charge a junk fee of $20 and lose at least 10x that amount in future revenues. Also there’s a guy named Son that does a god awful job cutting hair. Worst hair cut of my life came from this guy. Happened twice (thought the first time was a fluke but wow he’s terrible). He’s the reason I will never go back to this place. Seriously call to reschedule if you get ‘anybody’ cause you do NOT want Son to cut your hair. Can’t stress enough how bad he is at his job EDIT: This business claims they weren’t going to charge but up until the end the receptionist insisted on charging. They TOLD me that they WILL charge MULTIPLE TIMES. I scheduled my appointment online to avoid Son because seriously the haircuts were so terrible. Now it seems he is a liar AND terrible at cutting hair. Have some integrity, Son. Actually, maybe go back to school and learn a new trade. Also "we will exercise our right to choose not to service you" is a pretty stupid thing to say to someone that doesn't want to be your customer anymore. And on top of this they are baiting a customer to post their credit card statements publicly? Better to avoid this "business".

I am not sure if Hoa had a bad day or not, but he was impolite and impatient. When I was trying to make myself comfortable on the chair, he was very impatient and told me "sit!sit！sit！" After he finished, he only said one word to me; that was "Go！". I do not understand why he talked to me like that. However, when he was serving the next customer, he was smiling and talking politely. I don't wanna say anything bad about him, but this was a very bad first time experience at Salon Joa for me, and I will never go again.

This was my first visit to Joa so I requested a consultation in the notes section online. So I arrived 10min before my original appointment at 10:15am. During the consultation, Son took about 5 seconds to look at my reference and started cutting. I was hoping we'd have some kind of dialogue about face shape, hair growth, or even my usual way of styling my hair. He's the first Viet barber I've ever had so even though we didn't have these conversations I thought I could fully trust him. There wasn't much rapport before, during or even afterwards. I'm not used to barbers not checking in with me or making sure we were moving in the right direction. There wasn't even a recommendation for products or tips for styling. We were done by 10:52am. I get it, my hair is/was long, thick and stubborn and not easy to work with. I was honestly hoping you'd get it too. Or at least ask me at least one more question about it. Previous reviews tell me that their biggest pet peeve is late clients. Time is money and I am sorry for being 5min late but I also don't think I deserve this kind of treatment for a fundamental issue the salon seems to have around timing for cuts. Green shirt is what I asked for...and this is what I got.

When I first moved to Denver I was hesitant about choosing a barber! Salon Joa had great reviews and Son who works there has been a phenomenal barber 💈 I have gone once a month for nearly a year now and I have not had a single bad experience. Every cut is precisely what I ask for and I feel renewed/refreshed every time. I appreciate their entire staff who is always friendly and welcomes you with a smile.

I drive 30 min across the city for my haircuts with Hoa and it’s always 100% worth it. I was fortunate to find Salon Joa after moving to Denver especially because he knows thick asian hair lol. Always appreciate you all!

I drove 1.5 hours to Salon Joa for nanoblading today and could not be happier. The procedure was explained in detail, she listened to what I wanted, and took her time to ensure even, beautiful brows. I am so glad I made the drive to Denver. I will definitely be retuning.

I’m not much of a “salon” goer and have always felt out of place wherever I go. Barber shops seem to be for men and salons have always felt too upscale. This place is really nice but I feel like I can be myself and I’m not being judged. It’s nice without being overbearing. Everyone has been awesome and I feel like it’s a really great price for the service I’ve received!

Got another haircut today and can't be happier! Thank you for taking the time to make my hair the way I like. It's so hard to find someone that cuts layers like she does especially on asian hair! No razer blade. Only sharp scissors and great technique!

In 10 quick minuted Hoa butchered my hair I’d been growing out for 6+ months. The red flag was probably him not smiling or even looking me in the eye before he began to cut. If you’re a man who wants a really fast haircut where the stylist takes no time to look at you or get to know you before hacking it off, I guess , go here.

My stylist, Jafet was so friendly and thoughtful when making sure I got the exact haircut I wanted. Jafet spent the time to focus on the details and make sure it was perfect. I’m so happy with the results. Can’t wait to come back already and request for them!!
