Josie was amazing! I was nervous cause I hadn't been to a salon in years and she was so sweet and actually listened to me and my hair came out amazing and so healthy. Everyone there is so nice and the vibe there is super cute. Definitely going back.

First time coming here, showed a video to Misael G and he ended up cutting my sides very short than the video I showed. I explained to him the problem showing the video again to point it out and he ended up telling me what he wanted to do instead. The sides were too short to fix. I purposely grew the sides out and I’ll have to grow them back again… They still tried to charge me $55 in the end.

Soooo I had been super lazy and in my feels so I let my hair go...however after being in the chair with the amazing incomparable Tara, I can say I'm definitely feeling amazing. I haven't trusted anyone with my hair in god knows how long, but rain or shine, long or short, she's got you! Srsly just go, don't walk, run! N shell always have you looking flyy!!! I came in on Nov 18, and asked for highlights and lowlights, because I felt my previous highlights were making me overall too blond, and I also wanted to cover my roots. The nice young lady seemed to be straight up dying my roots one color and then gave me partial foils a couple inches out from my roots. The result wasn’t what I wanted and sitting in front of the salon mirror, I asked her, “did you dye my roots orange?” She said “it’s just the lighting in here. We keep asking the owner to change it, but they won’t.” I was on my way right after to the airport to fly home to Boston, so I didn’t have time for a fix after my appointment, but I’ve cringed every time I look in the mirror since. I don’t live in Phoenix and so I wouldn’t be back anyway, but I wouldn’t recommend Jo-el to anyone looking for great colorists. I regret coming to Jo-el.

Josie has done my hair for YEARS and has never disappointed. She is highly skilled, and I know I can trust her with my hair everytime I go in. The color and cut is always what I envisioned and I am always getting compliments when I am out and about. The atmosphere at Salon Jo-El is super chill and makes for a good relaxing experience. Gray Blending. Tara is a magician!! I've been struggling with my gray hair for a couple of years now, and until I met her, I hadn't found anyone that I felt confident enough to let go in with color. I showed her a picture and left it in her hands after that. She did this technique called the "halo", I think, at my crown, and it blended beautifully. She's personable, easy to talk to, and her attention to detail is incredible. She's confident in her craft, and you can tell she puts love into what she does. I referred my daughter to her for a cut, and she, too, had a great experience. The staff is amazing. I love the family dynamic feel and how they hyped Tara up after they saw my hair. Great energy over all. I was able to meet Joel that day, super sweet guy. We found our forever salon and stylist.

Y’all. All I gotta say is…GO TO ADAM!! I’ve been in PHX 6 years now and I have FINALLY found my permanent stylist! I am 39 yrs old and no joke, my hair has never looked this good before. From the beautiful layered cut he did, to the face framing, money piece/partial highlight that turned out to be the most epically beautiful buttery blonde! He also colored over my greys on the rest of my hair and it looks EXACTLY like my natural hair color (just without the greys) and it’s exactly what I was going for. He literally brought my hair back to life!! I had not colored/dyed my hair in over 3 years and I was ready for a change and to feel good about myself. Adam did all of that for me tenfold, and then some. He is the most down to earth person ever! He moved to PHX from Florida and I’m so grateful he did! Our conversation flows so well and he is super easy to talk to. Thank you Adam! Not only did you transform my hair back to life, but it is a joy and fun experience coming in to see you!!!

Ahh! Can’t say enough great things about this salon! After years of damaged hair and being unhappy with different stylist, I was referred to Salon Jo/el Buy a friend I cannot be happier that I had the chance to go! My stylist’s name was Tara And she is the first person to get my hair exactly like I wanted it in such a long time! I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she took over. You can really tell that she is a master at her craft! I walked out feeling so beautiful and have gotten so many compliments since then on my hair!! If you are looking for a new hair Salon, I highly recommend and most definitely ask for Tara!!!

My mom and I came in to get a dramatic change to go along with our life changes. The two woman’s who did our hair are simply amazing!!! Donna was the one who did all the amazing colors in my hair. Not only were they able to transform our hair into what we wanted but they also took their time and admired the work they did. If you’re looking for a salon that does colors nobody wants to do, this is the place to go. I also wanted curtain bangs which I’ve never got any salon to do right. She did it perfect. We will be a coming back soon. And thank you for all the hard work put into our hair.

This was my first time at Jo-El salon, I went in for a full balayage on color treated hair and a cut on Saturday with Misael. I don't normally write reviews but I am so pleased with result! He actually listened to me and did what I wanted- and it didn't take forever! The color and cut is the best I have had in a long while. It turned out so beautiful, I am thrilled. The experience was awesome. Nice salon, friendly staff, fast professional service at reasonable prices. I even bought some products! I highly recommend and will be returning.

kinda upset i showed her a reference picture and it did not look nothing like it this is my 4th hair cut there from that salon she also cut my hair too short after i said to keep the same length i told her not to cut the sides or front but proceeded i am kinda upset because i wasted 50 dollars it honestly sucks because they always leave my hair amazing but just not this time I really care how my hair looks its a big part of who i am really sad right now this is probably the last time im coming here 😞 i love the place and environment i just got a bad haircut this time
