The lady who I'm going to assume named Mina is very rude. She has no customer service skills at all. Over the phone had terrible attitude until she realized my wife is korean and then started talking much more respectfully. Even when we got there she was not pleasant at all. She should not be in customer service.

I will be back here, found my place while in Austin. Mina gave me exactly what I wanted, and it is not the simplest cut to achieve. I had pretty long hair going in, and since having my son I had been wanting to cut my hair. I asked for an asymmetrical bob, and she cut it perfectly. Very pleased. The photo I post doesn't do perfect justice because it is not styled at the moment, but you get the idea. ***Update*** Most recent visit. Thank you so much Mina and Mrs Lee for another wonderful experience. I know I'm in good hands here! I asked for a different cut this time and I'm super happy with it. And love the color, the pictures don't do justice.

Love this place, Mina knows her stuff and puts a lot of effort into your hair. When you let her know what kind of look you’re going for she delivers. Have been going here ever since I’ve moved here a few years ago.

If you're looking for a salon that will take care of your needs, this is the place. I can confidently say I've been to all the Korean hair salons in Austin and there wasn't a single one I liked until I found Salon Lee. I'm very particular about my hair but the amount of detail to attention and care they provided was amazing. If you are someone who cares about your look and especially your hair, this is 100% definitely the place to go to.

The haircut was very good. But I booked a head spa as well, thinking it would be 15-minute add-on that would mostly be an extra scalp massage during the shampoo and would not cost any more than $30 extra (based on my experience getting them done at other Asian salons). It was actually an extra hour and a half of various procedures and it cost $300. This was never explained to me ahead of time and there was no consultation of any kind. The stylist asked if I had had a head spa done before and I said yes. Then she didn’t explain anything else or tell me the cost (it’s listed when you book online as $0 and says consultation required). I should have spoken up once I realized what was happening, but by that point it was too late. $300 was way more than I wanted to pay or could afford and yet I was stuck with it. Will not be back.

I had a great experience today with Younie Kim. My hair is damaged and brassy due to a previous experience at a salon in Boston. I came in looking for help. Younie was honest that the first color I showed her (silver/light gray) would require even more bleach and probably wasn’t the best idea for my damaged hair. I settled on an ashy brown instead, and wow, it turned out even better than I had hoped! I will definitely be back for a haircut and another color appointment. Thank you!

I have had my haircut here once before with Carole which was great! I got my haircut here again this week with Soo and had a lovely experience with a wash, cut and style. I have long, thick hair and Soo was so thorough with making sure my haircut was perfect (long layers and curtain bangs). I love how my hair came out and will absolutely be returning here for my next haircut with Soo.

My name is Fanny, and I only have amazing things to say. Lee was in charge of my perm, and she was 100% honest. I told her my fear of getting my hair damage and she took the job to cut the damage parts of my hair and to be as gentle as she could. She did an amazing perm and not only that she thought me how to take care of it with the creams that they sale there. Definitely I will be coming back. If I could give this saloon 100 stars I would! Amazing experience.

Update: been going to Salon Lee for years now! Thanks Younie! I had a men’s haircut and perm with Younie Kim, and I absolutely loved my time here. The last time I had a perm and cut was actually in South Korea, and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a similar experience in Texas. I’m so glad Salon Lee proved me wrong. Younie was phenomenal. She took great care and attention to my hair, and made sure I left satisfied. I’ve been getting compliments on my hair since, so she definitely got it right. Thanks again Younie!

Mocked and disrespected me in the chair for 20 minutes in front of other customers, and not even in a chatty hairstylist sort of way. Glaring, hateful stuff. I told them upfront I don't speak Korean. They continued in Korean anyway, and they dug into it and treated me like garbage because I guess they thought I was stupid for my awkward communication- in Korean. I speak perfect English by the way. Bad and shallow people.

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. Despite discussing and agreeing on a specific length with Lee, she cut my hair extremely short, even after I repeatedly emphasized that I didn't want it too short. In the end, my hair was cut 2 inches shorter than we had agreed upon. I would not recommend this place.

I had a haircut here two weeks ago. I’ve gotten multiple comments on how good my hair looks. Even my teenage nephew who tries his best to not say anything nice to anyone brought it up. I didn’t think much the day of the haircut but with the way it has grown out I think it might have been the best hair cut I’ve had in my life. I guess it’s all downhill from here ;) Thanks Salon Lee for the great cut and for the recommendation on the curl product.

I highly recommend Lee Salon, I have been here for almost two years and I am happy with my haircut all time. Lee, Yonnie, Mira, and Su are friendly all the time, they greet you when you come in and welcome you to come back when you leave. I also learn a lot of Korean words and sentence with them. :) I am happy to see they become more and more popular through the time!

I went to her with some ideas for my style and color, and during our conversation, she recommended healthier options for my hair that aligned with my goals. She suggested a style that fits me perfectly. Throughout the process, Ms. Lee was incredibly attentive, ensuring my face and ears were covered to avoid any color mishaps. She even offered me something to drink, making me feel like a VIP. When I left the salon, I felt like a star on the red carpet. I can't recommend Ms. Lee enough!

Mrs. Eumin Lee did an excellent job with my Japanese straightening(Perm) , ensuring my hair was treated with care and using heat protection balm for the treated hair. Overall a very good salon if you are looking for great haircuts. The massage and care I received during hair wash was quite relaxing. The Hair dresser asked me questions on what kind of haircut i was looking for and suggested what suits best for my hair type/texture and length. My only complaint is the price. Not that this place is expensive but it is not what they advertise on their website, I felt it a little deceiving. I will definitely go back to this place for the quality of their work, but I would ask them about the pricing upfront over phone, rather than going by their website.
