Had to leave this here because the Salon Lofts website only accepts approved testimonials instead of actual reviews. Had an appointment with Mr. Thompson. Unfortunately was an uncomfortable experience upon entering. Our appointment was at 2:00 & we arrived at 2:05. I texted saying we were going to be 5 minutes late & got an Ok. The first thing he mentioned when getting there was about us being late. There was no information given before-hand stating that they don’t accept cards until arriving. His idea was us walking through 93 degree heat to an ATM or Venmo, which we didn’t have. Thankfully the person sharing the space with him came out as we were literally leaving & said that they accept Zelle, solving the issue that wasn’t his to deal with. He kept repeatedly (demandingly) asking me what I want to do with the hair. The appointment was literally a men’s cut for my partner, so I didn’t know how to respond to someone asking me about someone else’s hair. The person sharing his space had to repeatedly step in to be helpful & we would have left without his having taken the time to be polite. Haircut wise - questions weren’t asked so the correct tool (razor) wasn’t brought out or used & the back of the cut wasn’t shown at any point. If someone being 5 minutes late creates such an uncomfortable experience please just cancel the appointment. Also, there were no masks used. Thanks.

David Díaz is amazing. He’s been cutting my hair forever and I’ve never been happier. I travel a lot and sometimes for months. It’s always something I’m looking forward to when I return and no one does as good a job.

Had an appointment with Denise Waldo this Past Saturday Dec 10 2022. First time here. I looked at her Facebook photos and thought here is a stylist that knows how to cut hair. My hair was the length to where my should blades end. I asked for a shaggy- layered cut. Not what I got. I didn’t have my reading glasses, my fault. I was charged 98.00 for wash, cut and blow dry. Plus I gave $10 for tip. When I got home and received email receipt and saw that she charged me $95 for a hair cut. I had to wait until Monday to call her, I asked her did she make an era charging me $95 for a haircut. I asked how much she usually charges - she said from $70 up. It depends on the length. She gave me a cut that made me look 10 years older. Will not be returning back there. Over priced and didn’t get cut I wanted.

I can't say what the rest of the tenants are like, but Lucky is the most awesome stylist I've ever had do my hair! She's great at cut, color, style and suggesting just the right products! If you want to look your best, go see Lucky at Salon Lofts on South Dale Mabry in Tampa! Update: unfortunately, Lucky has moved to another state.

I went to Beth and had a wonderful experience. We talked as if we were already very familiar. She took such great care of my hair and gave me exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend this place for anyone to try especially Beth!

Christine did an amazing job cutting and coloring my hair! With a busy schedule and a 2 year old, I was in desperate need of a cut and color. Christine took her time, listened to what I wanted and did an amazing job accomplishing the look I was going for! I’m so excited to have found her and can’t wait to go back!

Philip has been my colorist for a whole year now and he’s amazing. We’ve done caramel balayage and bright copper (from dark brown) and he always exceeds expectations! Nobody touches my hair but him as he also styles it for special occasions. If you’re looking for bold, lasting color, go to Philip!!!

Philip made me feel beautiful for my birthday! I had seen his wonderful work on social media and was so excited to get an appointment. Beautiful color, haircut and styling- I couldn’t ask for more. I left feeling like a mermaid. He is also a kind, sweet human being who brings the loft to life. A great combo of a professional who loves his work and an experience with someone who cares about you. I don’t want anyone else to touch my hair again.
