Great service, always leave satisfied! I went to the salon several times for an evening hair and makeup. I leave pleased everytime, making my vision come to reality always. The workers are all kind, have great expertise and the atmosphere is always peaceful and clean. Will definitly continue to go to the salon in the future!!

I had a pretty poor experience here. I went in asking for a simple trim (showed reference picture), and spent nearly 4 hours doing extra styling that I did not agree to, including a 2 hour thermal press. I asked her to please stop and she said she “had to continue.” When I confronted her about doing unnecessary services, she made me feel like it was my fault for having too much hair. Not to mention the end result looked nothing like my reference photo. Would not trust again.

I love this salon! I just relocated to Brooklyn and Lola matched my hair color perfectly. The space is adorable and the staff is friendly.

I went in yesterday for a cut and they were so kind! I asked if they would have time to do balayage color and they did. She did a fantastic job. My only complaint was I was not given a quoted price when I asked to add on the color. There was definitely some sticker shock when I saw the final total, but I take partial responsibility for not asking as well. My advice would be to make sure you get a quote before you begin your service so you are not stuck skipping meals like me, but I learned from my own mistake. If you have the money and can swing it you should definitely give these ladies your business as the end result was spectacular!!

From the excellent customer service to the talent, I always enjoy getting my hair done here. Lola did the ombre to honey blond color and Princess did the retwist and perm rod set on my locs. I leave here feeling beautiful as ever each time.

I don’t have enough good things to say about Salon Lola and the people there. A few months ago I walked past and their cute sign and interior caught my eye. I called to make an appointment when I got home and they fit me in THAT day with Bianca. It was the first professional haircut I had in years and I LOVED IT. Fast forward a month or two and I went back for another bang trim and cut. This time I was paired with Rain. I cannot hype this woman up ENOUGH! She was absolutely fantastic and SO knowledgeable. She gave me exactly what I envisioned and then some. She is kind, sweet, talented, and I just felt extremely cared for. I could tell that she was determined to make me look and feel as fabulous as possible and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I’ve never had a haircut in my life that I have loved the way I love this cut. It’s absolute perfection. You can tell that the professionalism, FUN, and style is oozing from this place. I look forward to being in their capable hands for my future cuts.

I was assigned Rain we spoke about the haircut but unfortunately she cut it way to short even though we said we were going to start longer and then go shorter she said sorry and took off 20.00 but total was 78.00 if she charge me 60.00 that would have been a real apology maybe it's better not talking while getting a hair cut. Very disappointed 😞

I went to see Lola after two other colorists hadn’t quite figured out how to match my natural hair color to dye my roots. She did a spectacular job, and the blow dry after was on point. My hair never looked better. I was extremely happy with the results and I’ve already booked my next appointment. Everyone on the staff was extremely sweet and friendly. It really felt like a cute, neighborhood salon but with extremely professional, superior service.

I went to this shop with high hopes. I have been dealing with a lot of anxiety since this visit. I am not sure how to communicate with Lola that the job she did wasn’t up to my standards and I simply sufficed and compromised. I have reached out to her since for a refund and or redo of services but I felt like she talked about how doing my hair affected her greatly …. I did learn my mistake as a black woman allowing a white woman to do my hair. The color I did 3 weeks ago came out fine, but since one wash it’s faded and my back roots are brown and I think Lola could’ve done more to accommodate my situation. I never leave reviews, but I felt moved too. Just check out the attached photos for clear proof of a botched job. I tried my best to remain positive but that was worn thin. I’m a client, who’s new to salons and this was an innocent transaction that ended up with me having the short end of the stick

I’m more of a barber shop kind of guy but do enjoy going to get my haircut at a salon from time to time. Everyone at the salon was super friendly and helpful. My haircut came out dope and the salon is awesome. Plus such good vibes and nice environment

Lola has being doing my hair for YEARS, she’s the only stylist allowed to touch my hair. She’s an expert with color. I like to keep my hair red, which is a very difficult color to maintain because it tends to fade quickly. I find myself getting compliments on my color up to 3 months after a visit, even with my grey roots visibly growing in. I recently moved upstate and I still commute to Brooklyn to get my hair done because it is such a pleasure to see Lola. The products she uses and sells are divine and I won’t use anything else on my hair. Definitely recommend!!

Salon Lola is cozy and very welcoming. I felt at ease from the moment I stepped inside and Lola is just perfect… She did exactly what was needed. After visiting other salons disappointed I am pleased to share I have found a home for my hair style needs. Thank you Lola and staff! S x

5 stars for my hair but 3 stars for covid safety. Lola did a beautiful job on my hair, probably the best color I've had in years-- she is a very skilled and creative stylist and made my vision come to life. Also, the ambiance is super cute and staff are very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. However, I felt very uncomfortable that they were offering clients drinks! Normally this is nice but during the pandemic, especially now, this is VERY unsafe. If you have a plastic divider over the reception area for Covid safety, why would you allow customers to take their masks off? Salon Lola, please discontinue this practice to protect your customers and employees.

I got my hair cut for the first time since the pandemic on June 18th. I also treated myself to pink/purple peekaboo highlights! My stylist was Rain Decastro and she was amazing. She was able to reschedule a few things to fit me in. She's fairly new at Salon Lola but you'd never know! She really put me at ease. Everyone was wearing masks so it felt very safe. I noticed there was cleaning between each client and use of the sink stations. I was also given bottled water. Rain took her time to understand exactly what hair cut and color process I wanted before beginning. I showed her some inspiration photos online to help illustrate what I wanted. She made sure to ask if I felt comfortable before each step of the process. I got about 2 feet of hair cut off! I told Rain in advance that I wanted to donate my hair. She kindly tied and braided my hair into 2 ponytails to prepare it for donation. She advised me to avoid donating to Locks of Love since they only donate a SMALL percentage of their hair donations. (I've heard they sell their hair donations too. I ended up donating to Hair We Share out of Long Island, NY!) Rain also made sure to take before and after photos. She was a real pleasure to work with! Overall it took 4.5 hours. Since it was my first time getting my hair colored, I didn't realize it would take that much time. Bring your cell phone charger! They have outlets by each chair. I met the owner Lola and she's a sweetheart too. I also bought a spray on leave in conditioner from the salon to care for my newly colored hair. They have beautiful plants in the front window and a clean restroom in the back as well. They also provided restaurant recommendations in the area for dinner afterward. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rain's stylist services and Salon Lola! I felt very comfortable, pampered, and taken care of. Much needed after the pandemic! Call them to book your appointment! I really wanted to like it here. It looks like a nice space to relax and get your hair done. The scheduling was easy and it was recommended to me, but here’s what’s wrong: Lola spent most of my time talking to other people, clients being seen by other hairdressers, the other hairdressers, and the woman at the desk. She was micromanaging everything and not focused on my hair. I have ADHD and it was all very overwhelming and stressful for me. I had mentioned that my favorite part of a haircut is the scrubbing of my head because I don’t have nails, but when she got to that part it wasn’t really scrubbing. She spent longer on my hair because she kept stopping to focus on her next client and do the job of the receptionist (who seemed perfectly capable of doing it herself). Then she put so much product in my hair, claiming it won’t get crunchy (it did), trying too hard to sell me everything. I kept saying no thanks (I honestly don’t think she heard me at all). The products smell too strong like perfume and it was a lot to take in. She’d also ask me questions and then talk over me. Her energy is too much for that tiny space & my brain function. My friend goes here and said she doesn’t trust Lola with a haircut because of her constant distractions, but that she’s great at coloring (though needs reminders to keep track of how long the color is in). It’s been over a week and I can still smell the horrible perfume stench in my hair. I just wanted to pay and get out of there, hoping my hair at least looked better or felt better, but it didn’t and still doesn’t feel better (not lighter like past hair cuts). I have to keep it clipped up until the smell goes away, but the cut isn’t really that great. I’ve washed it every day since and it still smells. This is not the place for me. It’s not relaxing and I don’t like smelling like a perfume counter. Maybe it’s good for some people, that’s great, but observing micromanagers stresses me out and too much is going on in a small space. If you’re like me, you won’t like it either.

Really love this salon. Been coming here since I moved to Brooklyn 7 years ago. Lola is amazing with her scissors- I have THE best haircut/style even MONTHS after she works on my hair. It doesn’t just look amazing after you leave her salon- the cut stays with you. She’s become more popular over the years and worth the wait. Even if I move out of Brooklyn, Im coming back to her.

Consistently excellent cuts and customer service. I am a designer and professional so I am very picky. They are perfectionists and really care about the local community they are in. Even though I work in Tribeca and Soho I won't go anywhere else but HERE!

I had an amazing experience with Lola. I have long loosely curly hair, and was really hesitant because I’ve had some bad experiences with stylists who don’t know what they’re doing with curly hair. Before scheduling an appointment, I emailed the salon to make sure they knew what kind of hair I had and what I was looking for, with many photos. Lola listened to my concerns with so much understanding and patience, and made sure to address each one and made me feel really heard and taken care of and so I felt confident booking an appointment. On the day of, she took her time dry cutting and then styling my hair - it looked absolutely perfect. Each curl was cut with care and placed with precision. I’ve never had a better experience. She’s so skilled and experienced, I will never go to anyone else! I trust her with my hair completely. Thank you so much! My hair is so happy.

I just saw the place by accident. And thought, let me give it a try. LoLa is amazing, she is very kind and friendly. She is so knowledgeable. You would be surprised. I went there late. She was above ro close but she patiently did my haircut. She didn't even show any sign of dis pleasure, even it was getting late. I would defenitely recommend. She did a pretty good job with my hair. I saw another customer super impressed after the haircut. Overall. 5/5.

I visited Salon Lola for the first time today to get an all-over color and was very pleased with the results! Everyone was friendly and accommodating when I walked in, offering to hang my coat up and provide me with something to drink while I waited for my appointment. Lola in particular was cheerful, enthusiastic, and made me feel like she was happy to have me in the salon. When I left, I accidentally forgot my earrings on the counter and received a call within minutes to let me know that they were there. I appreciated this level of care and concern. The only reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is due to a comment made by someone who seemed to be working as an assistant. While they were blow-drying my hair, they asked me if I cut my own bangs. I didn't understand why they would ask this question, as they were not the hairdresser I had an appointment with nor was I there for a cut. Perhaps they didn't mean anything by it, but it felt like a negative critique of my appearance. That said, I was happy with my color and every other aspect of the visit was excellent. I would highly recommend this salon!

The salon I usually go to closed permanently due to covid, and as someone who has experienced more than a hand full of bad haircuts I was so nervous to try a new spot. However, this salon exceeded my expectations ten fold. My stylist Bianca was incredibly warm and welcoming, super attentive, and immediately understood my vision for my hair. She made sure to check in with me during all the steps of my big chop and even went above and beyond for my fussy bangs. I left the salon feeling amazing!! Even received a super sweet post haircut checkin email from the owner. This place is worth it come here! They offer so many services and are staffed with amazing professional stylist.
