Had the most amazing experience with Salon Maison! They showed up early, did amazingly, and we even ended early which was a huge plus for a day like this! My stylist was so sweet and accommodated the small last minute changes I had to my hair and makeup! My bridesmaids looked so beautiful and even my mother was happy (which never happens) Highly recommend!

I had my wedding hair and makeup done by Salon Maison and went with them because they seemed more reasonable than other stylists but it was my biggest regret of our wedding - I wish I had spent a little more and gotten a stylist who could make me look and feel beautiful on my big day. The stylist doing my makeup was so nice so I was hesitant to leave a review but I don't recommend Salon Maison if you want to have a modern or glam/sophisticated look. I suggest looking long and hard at the one star reviews. I was left looking like I was going to 90's prom and this is not an exaggeration - overly curled hair and very basic makeup. I felt like I had to micromanage the stylist and she asked few questions when we started about what I wanted. At one point I asked her to fix my eyeliner because it was smudged under my eye, so she fixed it and left another smudge while doing so. Her first attempt looked like it was drawn with crayon. I had sent them Pinterest boards prior and it looked nothing like it. Used really basic curling techniques I felt I could have done myself and many of the hair products were what I consider to be cheap drugstore brands - I was left with stiff, sad-looking hair with frizz. I wanted to cry when I saw it and deeply regretted not having just used my Airwrap and doing my makeup myself. My friend and I had to attempt to fix it ourselves. I think I had the worst hair in the room at my own wedding. Furthermore, shortly after writing a review, I received a cease & remove email from the salon threatening legal action and claiming false statements were made. I believe this shows a lot about the integrity of the company and am truly disappointed in my experience with them.

I hired Salon Maison to do wedding hair and makeup for myself and our full bridal party, which ended up being around 12+ people. I was a little worried since we had a big group, but they were AMAZING! So fast and efficient and we even got done ahead of schedule! They did such a good job! My hair and makeup lasted the entire day/night (even through dancing). Salon Maison was so easy to work with and I can’t thank them enough for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! Highly recommend them.

Salon Maison exceeded my expectations with both hair and makeup! I wanted soft curls for a romantic look, and they nailed it - my curls were beautiful and lasted the entire day. The makeup was flawless, a soft glam style with all the right contouring and highlighting tricks that made my features pop. I had boudoir photos done, and the team created the perfect, romantic and sultry look. My photos came out more beautiful than I ever imagined! If you’re looking for expert hair and makeup, Salon Maison is a must!

Salon Maison made me feel absolutely stunning! The team did both my hair and makeup, and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. I went for a soft glam elegant look with big bouncy waves, and they nailed it. The waves were perfect and lasted the entire day. For my makeup, they used MAC which felt amazing on my skin and gave me a flawless, soft glam look. It stayed fresh all night, exactly what I wanted. The stylists were professional, kind, and really listened to my preferences, creating a look that made me feel beautiful and confident. Salón Maison performed services for a wedding I attended and I remember the bride absolutely glowing. She’s struggled with being a perfectionist in the past so everyone was a little worried for her big day but it was perfect! One of my friends recommended Salon Maison for my wedding hair and makeup. I worked with bridal consultant Sherilyn Morgan to create a beautiful vintage style look. She helped me create a look that enhanced my natural features and hair as we did our trial run together. I was able to play around with different options that I thought would go with my dress and aesthetic in a relaxed setting. She is professional and experienced. I also like how I was able to do the trial run and my wedding day makeup with Sherilyn. I would highly recommend this salon as they are willing to come to your venue (which was important to me) to do your hair and makeup on your big day.

Amazing!!! The girls were so relaxed in the chaos of getting everyone ready for my wedding. They were flexible, punctual, so prepared and made friendly conversation. They did my hair and make up to match my inspiration exactly, and gave all my bridesmaids, flower girl, mom and MIL just what they asked for. Highly recommend.

I was initially hesitant to hire a full hair/makeup artist because I don't wear a lot of makeup in my everyday life and I didn't necessarily know what I wanted. However, I am so, SO glad that I went with Salon Maison. First, the consultation appointment was incredible, very much needed and definitely worth it. I was seriously at a loss for ideas and Katie was wonderful at interpreting exactly the kind of look that I wanted but didn't know I wanted. As for the wedding morning itself, both consultants did an incredible job of making myself, my bridesmaids and my mom feel comfortable and confident. I truly want to thank both of them so much for making the day wonderful, not just by helping us look beautiful, but also for making us feel beautiful!

I was super nervous about hair and makeup for my wedding day, but I’m glad I went with Salon Maison! I’ve previously had times when my hair and makeup was generically done and it just didn’t match my features or my hair type/face type. However I didn’t have to worry after I met Kat here - Kat was the absolute best. I did a trial and she was great at listening to what I wanted and then working with me when I had feedback (which - was alway -“ hmmm I think something is missing or off”, which is not very useful feedback - luckily Kat understood me!). On the wedding day, I changed my mind about my trial hair (!!!) and Kat was super receptive to my requests and crushed it. My bridesmaids also had their hair and makeup done - all slightly differently based on their own requests and the team did such an amazing job. So grateful for kat and the rest of Salon Maison!!!!

Salon Maison was the perfect choice for our Thornewood Castle wedding! It was extremely convenient to have a hair and makeup vendor that could assist our wedding party on-site. Our salon consultant was Katie and she was amazing to work with! She was so sweet and was brilliant at completing all of our hair and makeup requests. Katie even swooped in last minute to help the mother-of-the-bride with her hair. The groom also thought it was absolutely worth getting the Groom Touch-Up package, because he felt like all his facial insecurities looked so much better in the pictures because of it.

Thank you to Kat with Salon Maison for her artistry for our wedding. I did a preview appointment two weeks in advance with Kat in the salon where we practiced my wedding day hair and makeup look, incorporating my accessories. Kat was able to deliver what I was asking for easily! Then on wedding day Kat did hair and makeup for me, as well as the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. Kat asked for feedback and input throughout the appointment, and easily adjusted the looks as needed, including a new hairstyle for the mother of the groom. Kat was early to arrive and finished well before the deadline for the first look photoshoot. Thank you for sharing in our special day! Kat and Salon Maison were easy to schedule with, consistent in their service, and reasonably priced for the quality of the service they provide.

I absolutely loved working with Salon Maison for my engagement photos hair & makeup. As someone who doesn't wear makeup often I was hesitant to have it done, but my stylist was so wonderful, attentive, and I especially appreciated her offering to try things (like different color lips, eyelashes) throughout the appointment. I ended up going with all of her recommendations and LOVING my makeup and I'm really looking forward to having it done again for the wedding.

I did a trial with salon maison then decided to book and am so happy with my decision! My hair and makeup looked flawless and lasted all day and night. The girls were so friendly and made me feel comfortable and beautiful. They even left me some lipstick and lip brush to touch up with later in the evening which was super useful since I forgot to buy the color they put on me at the trial

I do not write reviews often, but this place deserved one for all the wrong reasons. I contacted them via their website for pricing and received an email response with acceptable pricing. Ready to book, I made multiple calls/emails to them over the next couple of weeks, resulting in 2 specific promised times they would call, but no one ever did. I can't imagine ever relying on them to actually show up if they can't even follow through on a phone call to book.

I had my hair and makeup done for a wedding. Everyone was very nice, however everyone in the bridal party had to fix something before the wedding. Almost every girl including the bride had to recurl their hair because not enough product was used. For me, I washed my face and redid my makeup. My foundation was very light coverage and I said that I did not want natural makeup. No powder was used to set my under eyes or my foundation, so it creased before she was even done with my makeup. I have hooded eyes, and one of my eyelashes was glued high up my eyelid and my eyeliner was put on crooked. I was fixing lashes for another bridesmaid because her lashes started coming off two hours after her makeup was done. She said even when she has gone to Ulta just for lash application they stay all day for her. I’ve had my makeup done a lot and this was not like the other experiences I have had. If you like natural makeup, don’t wear any normally, and have wide eyes/eyelids then you might be okay.

I hired this salon for my wedding makeup/hair and my bridesmaid's makeup/hair. I am a very fair redhead and most normal makeup looks don't look the same on me as they are very harsh. Highlights - - My consultant , Katie was absolutely amazing and so incredible to work with! She honestly saved this contract 100%. She was willing to do some unique makeup with me and alter the look when it wasn't working for me. - They were able to come out to my venue which was very helpful to limit travel for us and were available in the early morning. - Contracts were decently easy to sign and pay for. Cons - - You will most likely need to provide your own makeup. They use MAC which can be very oily and not work for all skin types. They also did not have any lip tints available, it was very traditional makeup, so I ended up providing a majority of all my own makeup which didn't make the cost feel very justified. - Communication with the admin side sucked. There was no pre-trial questionnaire about what looks were desired or inspiration to work off of. No special condition questions like skin type or allergies. Nothing about really customizing the experience to make sure they could provide a specialized service to you. - They will, however, attempt to have you spend extra $$$ right before your trial on extensions and hair pieces, plus additional services that felt very pushy and would have been useless to me as I didn't know most of the services until weeks before the wedding due to a lack of communication. (Engagement photo sessions, bridal shower sessions, Bachelorette sessions, etc) - Make sure your contracts are correct. We were given a discount for hiring them at a wedding tour, but it took 3 or 4 times to make sure those discounts were on the contract. - Admin seems way out of touch from the consultants and it makes any chance of feeling secure in the appointment shaky because you have zero idea what you are walking into. I also had a mishap with my original trial appointment, it was sorted later but required me to take an additional day off of work. - I had thought I was getting 2 consultants for the 6 of us day of, but 1 had to leave for another wedding 2 hours in, leaving poor Katie to finish the rest of us off to the last minute of the contract. - If you are looking for creative or unique makeup for your wedding. I'm not sure it would be good to hire this salon. They really focus on natural to glam looks, but most of us had to retouch our makeup nearly an hour after it was completed due to creasing and flaking of the makeup. They don't airbrush or have any super special techniques to make the makeup last longer. Since I had an evening wedding, we had to touch up all the way up to the ceremony ourselves and most of my girls didn't bring additional makeup with them.

I was first introduced to Salon Maison when I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding. The stylists came to our hotel room and we had so much fun getting our hair and makeup done. I felt so comfortable with their makeup team :) My wedding was in March at Belle Chapel in Snohomish, and I was so relieved they were able to come to the chapel to do my hair and makeup. I was worried because I had really lifeless hair but they made it look so full and voluminous for me. I'm in love with how my photos turned out! My stylist was Kat and she made me feel super relaxed and helped ease my nerves. She gave me the perfect natural makeup look that I was asking for. I really felt like a princess :) Thank you Salon Maison.

They are bad at communicating and following through. At first they responded saying they are available for the date I requested their service, and their cost was reasonable. They asked me to call their number to pay the deposit to hold the date… and no one will pick up the phone! I called multiple times, left multiple voicemails… emailed them again… they said they would call me back a specific date… and never did. Meant to be, I’m working with a different vendor that is so responsive and it’s such a relief!

UPDATE: After the negative review, the company decided they were going to try to dispute my review, requiring me to send in my contract to prove I had worked with them. I found this to be extremely unprofessional but honestly, it reflects their level of integrity quite well. Somehow, they got weddingwire to delete my review so hopefully someone sees this! I wish I had filtered the reviews a little better before as I think all the 5 star reviews at the top gave me a false impression of the company. I am extremely torn because the day of the wedding, everything was pretty okay. I didn't get the old Hollywood curls I asked for, but our two HMUA's were very friendly, kind and were attentive to everyone's requests. Everyone, looked stunning all night except that the curls I did get fell out before the first look. The artists themselves are truly professional and they even got done a little early and we never stressed on time. But every day trying to work with the salon prior to the wedding was a nightmare, purely because of the lack of responsiveness and communication. It seems to me like they don't have anyone designated to answer emails or phone calls as I would leave multiple messages and not receive a response, sometimes waiting for 5 weeks! This seems to be a common complaint by a couple other people and I unfortunately have to agree. The only time I got any type of prompt response was when I was also offering to pay part of our bill. By the time I was having my doubts about booking them, I had already paid off our entire bill (and any amount paid to them was conveniently non-refundable) and thus could not get them to respond to any of my messages. It took an annoyed email and having to DM them on Instagram to get anything moving. If you MUST book with them, I recommend that you learn from me and not pay your balance until the final due date. That way, if you need to pull out, you won't be losing as much money. They also recommend you book your pre-sessions a week before your wedding but I recommend you book it before the final due date in case that doesn't go well as well. They have it written into their contract that any money they get from you is yours forever so you want to be be sure they are the salon for you before paying them. They also don't send you any information on pre-wedding prep, like how to care for your skin and hair the months beforehand so just know you'll be getting the bare minimum of what a HMUA team typically does.
