Because I didn’t have an appointment yet (aka not a paying customer), she asked me to leave for talking too much about my personal problems loudly and interrupting the hair session she was currently working on. I understand why she might have felt it was intrusive, however, I was a potential customer who was turned off by her uppity nature and inflexible prices. I asked for blonde hair tips as someone with black, Asian hair and she said it would cost $140 each session for three sessions. That’s $420 for blonde tips. The end. That’s way too much for blonde TIPS, no matter how much experience she has - she said she’s been doing hair for 10 years. Well so does my other Asian hair stylist, and she charges a flexible, reasonable rate. I just did not like the classist way she presented herself, her business, and her boundaries. In my book, as someone helping open a business soon, I would NEVER turn away a customer who was being too loud or talkative. I would simply, KINDLY, ask them to be a little quieter as there are other customers in the room. Liley has no regard for new customers, just old regulars that she prioritizes. Here I was, thinking I was maybe going to save up 420 dollars to support a local Asian hairstylist, but she trashed all over my energy, so I guess I’m bringing that money somewhere else. Please let me know if you know of an Asian hairstylist who is good at dyeing hair and cares about their prospective customers, please.

I just moved to Wichita, and wanted to chop off all the hair that I grew out for my wedding. I've been using the same stylist for 4 years, so I was a little nervous to use someone new on such a big cut. Liley did amazing though and made the experience super enjoyable! I love having my short hair back!

Liley was so great with my hair! I sent her ideas of what I would like my hair to be. She cut and styled my hair perfectly! I’m so happy to find someone in Wichita that can take care of my hair needs! She is wonderful!

Absolutely love this place! The location is great and easy to find, the atmosphere of the salon is warm and welcoming, and the owner is amazzzing at what she does!! She always listens to what you want, gives you hair care advise and knows exactly how to make your hair feel beautiful again! I highly recommend Salon Memoir to male, female, young or old!

I love seeing Lilly every 8 weeks!!!! She turns my gray hair from hot mess to hotness with her magic color and extensions. She has amazing style and makes me feel at home in her salon. Love this boss babe.

Liley always takes time to make sure that what you are wanting to do is going to work on you!! I can show her pictures of something I would like to try for my hair and she will say yes we can do that or, no it's not ready for that step. Regardless, everytime I leave there I always feel great about myself!!!

Went from dark espresso hair to blonde & Liley was so careful all the way through. Educated me on the amount of time it would take to lighten my hair & the process. She’s very knowledgeable & truly cares about the health and look of my long locks! Great conversationalist, super professional & just the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. Highly recommend!
