I have been having my curly hair cut & colored by Cindy (Salon Metro owner) for the past 40 years!!! Since the beginning of “great hair” time!!! I will continue to do so even though I have moved to Whidbey Island! Cindy is Magic! I’m also proud to call Cindy one of the best people & friends I know! Anita

Absolutely 10/10 recommend Cindy for a curly cut!! I’ve gotten several great curly cuts in my life and I think this one is my favorite. Cindy is super skilled, super kind (no hair care shaming!), and gave me exactly what I asked for (minimal reduction in length, just shaping and layers). Cindy taught me how to use a really quick and simple styling technique on my hair that I’ve never seen anyone use before. No tools involved, she just showed me how to work the hair with my hands and it only took a few minutes. She is all about low maintenance hair care, which I absolutely love. Cindy wanted my hair to mostly air dry, so that’s why some of the pictures you see in reviews look damp or are not fully fluffed out/styled. I’m sure she would have fully diffused my hair if I’d asked but I went with her recommendation and I LOVE the results. For context: I have thick 3a/3b hair, high porosity, and struggle mostly with dryness and frizz. I never feel this way about hair salons, but I can’t wait to go back!

Paid $140 for a curly cut. Less than 45 minutes later I'm headed home with half dry hair and by the time I get home I realize I have one of the worst cuts ever. Still wearing it up months later. Have to wait for hair to grow out to get terrible layers blended in. I'm thoroughly disappointed and even angry with myself. Totally humiliating. Supercuts could've done a better job.

I’ve been seeing Lindsay Weflen for over a year now and couldn’t be happier. She is quick, incredibly thorough, and can immediately see how to make slight alterations to drastically change the feel of my hair. I have long, thick, wavy hair and she manages to cut it while keeping the asked for length, and giving it a low maintenance style. On another visit, dye was perfectly matched to my natural hair color. I also never feel bombarded with product suggestions, and she is an absolute joy to converse with; I truly look forward to my appointments! There is plenty of street parking, and a QFC lot behind the building.

Cindy is the most wonderful person inside and out! I won't go anywhere else for my hair. I've been seeing Cindy for a couple years now, and no one has been able to make my wavy hair look so good. I found her when I decided to embrace my natural hair texture, and her patience and knowledge has helped me learn how to take care of and style hair I didn't know how to handle. She is such a gem, and I feel so blessed to have found her!

I have very curly and fine hair and tend to be extremely particular about my hair cuts. I have been to Cindy a few times now and she has done a wonderful job with both my cut and color. My hair is finally growing and is more healthy than it has ever been. I definitely plan to continue to go back to Cindy and would highly recommend her.

I've recently switched to Salon Metro from my old hair salon and I've been happy. I've had two hair cuts with Lindsay and she's amazing. She's very patient listening to what I need and participates in making suggestions to help me choose a style will make me happy. I first wasn't sure if she cuts men hair too since all reviews are for women, but she does, and she does it very well. Definitely recommend her.

This review is WAY overdue! After the wave of compliments after my first visit I should of posted, and now after my second visit with Cindy it's been another week of compliments on my hair. Credit where credit's due! Cindy is a master at her craft, she is very welcoming and has impressive COVID protocols. As others have stated, its hard to find someone to trust with wavy/curly hair, so glad to have found a new home with Cindy! I am happy to support her as a small business owner and encourage others to visit Salon Metro.

Cindy was recommended to me by a fellow curly-haired friend after a lifetime of very few understanding my hair texture. Let me just say WOW. I cannot recommend Cindy enough. She has the magic touch for sure! My hair is very, very thick and has undergone a lot of blonde highlighting... Cindy took my hair from heavy, lifeless half-straight/half-waves to gorgeous curls that curl every time. She teaches you the right products to use and the best ways to style it for every day. My best friend has very coarse Asian hair texture and Cindy brings it to life, as well. She is well worth her price, my haircuts could easily last 6 months without maintenance. I like to go more often to keep my length in check since it is so healthy now. We will never stop going to her!!! Also! Bella works in the salon loft and does THE BEST lash lifts and tints. I have never had lashes done and decided to try it. Wow!! No need for curling and mascara for nearly 2 months for me. Very affordable and fun results. She also does lash extensions and other facial services. Lastly, this salon is incredibly reasonable if you have any issues with your services or products. They work with you to find solutions without the drama and I appreciate that so much. Just be kind and reasonable with them and they will take care of you every time. Great find!!!

For the curly girls out there, I recommend this salon, as they specialize in cutting, coloring, and styling curly hair. I’ve been trying to find a place that knows how to handle my curls (they’re pretty wild) and Cindy did an amazing job! It’s a little $$, but definitely worth it.

I found Salon Metro through using Ouidad products & loving them! I had no idea there was specially trained stylists until I got on their Site. I was thrilled to find Salon Metro was a privately owned salon. After reading all the reviews, I booked a "long hair" cut with Cindy. She is fantastic!! She listened intently & asked questions. I got the most perfect haircut I've ever had in my long search for someone to cut my S curls to enhance & shape them. She showed me the proper products to use & how to use them to get the best results. Hands down the best money I've ever spent!! Just wish I would have found her sooner!! Better late, than never. Thanks Cindy!!

Lindsay is exceptional! She really listens to you, and not just the first time you come in, but every time. She's taught me quite a bit about styling, products, and what could work really well for my hair type. She cuts my hair and does balayage for me and it always looks perfect! Lindsay is simply the nicest person too and I've enjoyed going to her and cherish her talent and knowledge!

Sadie was amazing! Really impressed with how comfortable I felt, despite the sugaring being a little painful. She was very knowledgeable and created a soothing environment. A few hours later and I feel almost no pain at all, and I'm very happy with the results. Will definitely come back here.
