To have a great hairstylist a five minute walk from one's house is my idea of amazing Karma! MioMio is a very welcoming and comfortable place and Gilbert is an exceptional stylist. He is creative, adventurous and highly skilled. He has a unique way of discovering what I really want and need in a cut. Added to all that, he is a great conversationalist and has a terrific sense of humor. I am incredibly lucky that this is all a 5 minute walk away!

Priscilla is so talented and absolutely incredible! She has been adding soft natural looking highlights to my hair for several years now and never ceases to amaze me with her artistry. A true perfectionist, she takes the time to really listen to what you want and then brings your vision to reality. I highly recommend Priscilla and feel so lucky to have found her!

Had a perfect experience here. Priscilla exceeded all expectations. Best haircut I’ve ever had and such an easy experience. Salon is clean and super cute and prices are not outrageous like most. Will be a regular for sure.

I got a haircut from Gilbert and I'm super satisfied with it. I have long wavy/ kinda curly-also coarse frizzy (but still beautiful ) heavy middle-eastern hair and lots of it. I got a v shape hair cut with long layers. He was so careful to not cut my hair shorter than I wanted. Also he took the weight off which feels so good and looks stylish. He's also a good company; a good listener especially when it comes to your hair requests. I had a great evening having my hair cut at Salon Mio Mio and chatting with Gilbert. I'll go there again.

Veronica is the BOMB! Been seeing her for over 20 years now.WOW! Like most peeps, I'm very picky when it comes to my hair and she always gets my color just right. Not only meticulous, but takes her time in her work,and a riot as well. The salon is bright and airy with good natural lighting which I love and I always look forward to my visits ..Super convenient for me as well as my bus line literally drops me off in the front of the shop..Two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been going to Erin for almost 10 years and highly recommend her for cuts and color. My hair tends to turn brassy and she’s the only stylist who’s been able to master a formula that results in perfect high and low lights. She also is an amazing person! I’ll be a client until she retires!

I’ve been going to this Salon since my favorite hair stylist/colorist left town to get married for heaven’s sake! 10 years or so, I think. I’m very particular with my hair color so I got the “formula” from my former stylist and friend. Gilbert knew exactly what she was talking about and boy was he right. I told her what Gilbert’s comments were about the color formula. She said ”Oh yea, he knows exactly what he’s talking about. You found a keeper.” From that point on, I never looked back, except for her wedding which I attended. Gilbert cuts and colors my hair and my husband’s. Gilbert is awesome. He’s the Salon’s owner. I’ve been going so long I’ve lived through his remodeling his space and it looks great. Comfortable, casual but somewhat elegant and a no muss no fuss approach. He has great ideas which I trust deeply. He’s creative, refreshingly honest, likes to hear about your exciting travels, etc. his bookings are easily completed online, he takes square for payment. It’s overall well time spent without wasting your or his time! My husband just loves the quality of Gilbert’s haircuts on him. And, I love my haircuts from Gilbert. I go regularly because that’s the best way to keep your hair looking good. I don’t get my hair cut every time because Gilbert and I agree if often doesn’t need it every visit, so sometimes I just do color (for me without much gray, root touch-ups only that gives my hair a deeper lustrous look and feel). Because of Gilbert’s input, we went darker and I get so many compliments. I get many compliments on my sassy haircuts, too. I’m best in a shag, but we’ve done all sorts of other cuts, all of which we’re great for their own reasons. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone to Gilbert. He’s simply the best!

Gilbert is a genius with color and his haircuts always look great and grow out well. Also, my tween is super intense about her hair right now, and she always loves the Gilbert's haircuts. Best salon owner in SF! We love him.

Gilbert, the owner operator of this salon has been my stylist since he opened the salon (and years before that) until very recently when I moved out to the East Bay. He is fully engaged in client consultations, and open and honest about the realities of what a client is looking for and what it will take to achieve the desired result. As a business owner he respects and empowers his stylists and the great vibe in the salon is a direct result of those relationships. I miss seeing everyone there on a regular basis...its a really great group!

I had my first and definitely not last appointment with Gilbert Pickett yesterday. The salon is such a beautiful, bright perch in a great part of Noe. When I walked in I was served delicious tea and treated to a wonderful wash/massage. And Gilbert did a phenomenal job on the cut and style. After all of his beautiful styling washed out (and he did a GREAT job on the styling - I left looking like the best version of myself) my hair dried and the cut still looks great. He gave me styling tips that I can actually recreate. I loved my entire appointment experience from start to finish and I'm thrilled with the result. I'll definitely be back.

Tonight was my second night at Salon Mio Mio and I am very impressed! Hector, who works from 6pm-10pm Monday through Friday, is not just a hairdresser - he is an artist with hair! I always step out of Hector's chair looking and feeling beautiful. The salon itself is lovely, it's on the second floor in a very convenient location at 24th and Castro. The salon has a cool website and a very user friendly online booking system and the reminder emails are great! The fact that the salon is open until 10 is awesome, as I certainly don't love spending my Saturday afternoons stuck in salon chair. They also take evening walk-ins for a quick spruce up before a Tinder date! Definitely visit Hector at Salon Mio Mio to look and feel your best!

Gilbert at Salon Mio Mio has been my stylist for over two years now. He has a great understanding of different hair styles. I like to experiment with my hair and Gilbert is there to bounce ideas with what's possible with my hair and what looks great on me. Super happy!
