First time going to this salon and I loved it! Dianne was amazing and gave me the exact haircut I asked for. She was so meticulous and made sure my cut was perfect. I left feeling so relaxed. Highly recommend!

I came here twice because the first time a phenomenal job was done on my hair by the owner. She has clear undeniable talent. But I am giving it two stars because coming back the second time confirmed what I felt the first visit about her energy, it’s so off and negative she doesn’t acknowledge her incoming customers doesn’t say a word, is rude to her employees. And when asked about my favorite restaurant she proceeded to make the yuckiest face which was clearly uncalled for. I will not be coming back here again. Despite her talent She is clearly burnt out and has no passion for it anymore.

I have been going to Salon Mizu since I moved to the area in 2017. My friend highly recommended Kay and she was so right! The staff have all been super! The service is par to none. Kay has made my hair much healthier. She is very knowledgeable about color and styles. They are always educating themselves on the newest and up to date styles. Also I have to mention their products, the best!!

This was my first time trying a new salon/stylist in 10+ years and the experience did not disappoint! Dianne was so kind and talented. I really appreciate how she took the time to make sure we were both on the same page about what I wanted and delivered amazing results! It was such a positive experience and I left loving my hair! Will definitely come back to see Dianne in the future.

Rachael is amazing at what she does! She is not only very talented at her craft but genuinely cares about her clients. Kay’s attention to detail with the salon experience is unmatched. Fresh flowers, beverages, and scalp massage during shampoo. Both care about staying relevant by attending training and seminars. Prices are comparable for the expertise. I recommend this salon to anyone in the Hampton Roads area.

After moving to the Hampton Roads area almost 7 years ago and having multiple bad experiences at other salons, I gave up on my hair and went a couple of years without getting it done. On a whim, I decided to try out Salon Mizu. Hands down, best experience I have ever had at a salon! Kay is fabulous and clearly immensly dedicated to her craft. She truly brought my hair back to life. The whole team is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They have gained a forever customer. Ms. Kay was absolutely amazing! I am pregnant and have been struggling with dandruff. She gave me the most incredible hour long treatment and my hair has never been cleaner, bouncier, or shinier. I can finally see my scalp and she taught me so much about preventing the issue from happening again. Highly recommend!!

THE BEST SERVICE & PEOPLE! I came in today in dire need of fixing a bad highlight from the previous day from another salon. I called everywhere and nobody had a same day availability, but I told Rachel my issue, she put me on hold & came back saying to come in in 30mins 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Went in and showed them my “mess” & from there they just welcomed me with loving arms. I felt like I was talking with family. Their confidence and teamwork in fixing my hair put confidence in me! And it showed in the end! I left with gorgeous colored, flowing locks! I almost didn’t even want to leave cuz their personalities are so addicting 💕 I found my permanent hair spot....as long as I’m in the area!

The customer service is outstanding!! I had to last minute cancel two appointments because I wasn’t feeling my best. They were understanding and had all the well wishes for me. Watching your daughter, at the age of 15, find out she has Alopecia Areata is very hard. We tried everything from prescriptions, topicals, shots etc. trying to keep her from losing her hair. There is no cure, so it is something that she has to live with. It became a little easier when we met Kay and Rachel from Salon Mizu/Eleve. We set up a consultation to find out more about the wigs they have to offer. My daughter, at this time was 21, had never worn a wig, so this was all new to us. Kay and Rachel made us feel comfortable from the minute we walked in the door. They showed us wigs made with real hair and wigs made with synthetic hair. We chose a wig made with real hair so it could be dyed to match the color of her natural hair. Kay did a great job coloring and cutting it to the style my daughter wanted. Kay showed us the products needed to take care of the wig and she charged us what she gets the items for. This was greatly appreciated. My daughter moved over over seas shortly after receiving the wig. A couple months later I went back to Kay and showed her video of what the wig looked like. It seemed to be losing its color and becoming knotted. Kay did everything she could to make this better for my daughter. She went above and beyond to help us out even though my daughter was so far away. Kay has a big heart and was very caring through this entire sensitive process. When my daughter comes back from overseas we take the wig in for Kay to redye it for us and to check the wig out. I would highly recommend Kay and her salon for regular hair needs, as well as, anyone looking for a wig. We told my daughter's dermatologist about Kay and her salon so other kids with alopecia areata will have a salon to go to that really cares and is highly recommended.
