The nail artist I saw was super nice. However, I got dip and every single one of my nails broke over the span of a week. I can admit when breaking a nail is my fault the nails have cracked while putting on shoes or accidentally tapping (not hitting) my hand on the wall. The first time one of the nails broke they gladly fixed it at no charge but I didnt want to continue going back for broken nails. I've gotten dip regularly for several years and this should not happen. The nails should have enough hold for this not to happen to ever single one.

This is a wonderful salon with very talented technicians. Ivy, (the owner), is great! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Salon NB. Three years later & I am still very happy with Salon NB. They do an excellent job & the salon has very good nail techs & and a friendly atmosphere. I enjoy getting my nails done.

I got dip on my fingers and normal polish on my toes on 8/3/24. I had to get three fake tips on my nails. That night itself, one tip broke. The only reason I’m even giving two stars is because the service to fix it and place a new nail when I went in on 8/4/24 was impeccable. By 8/6/24, nail polish on my toes was chipping off. By 8/11/24, one nail (not fake) has come off and two others gave started chipping. I can’t believe I spent $90+ (including tip) to have services that lasted a week and now I have to spend that money all over again so soon because I have a wedding this upcoming weekend.

My dip nails chipped within less than a week. Just the tips of the nails but still, I’ve gotten dip for years and it should not chip, definitely not that fast. And the dip was very thick, which is not ideal. Very sad, service was good though! Staff seemed very nice

This is the only nail salon I trust in Chicago. The manager and staff are so wonderful and professional. They always give me what I ask for. I would recommend this salon to everyone. I always enjoy my appointments here and feel very taken care of each time!

Update: the manager reach out and I got my nails done again by a very good nail tech and I’m very happy with the results now. They handled the situation very well. Im extremely disappointed with my last visit. The lady who did my nails first used the wrong color. I told her it wasn’t what I wanted and she said we don’t have the color that you want... The lady next to her said that they had to make the color or something like that. She removed my whole manicure and did it again with another color which appeared similar that what I wanted but the end result is nothing like what I showed her. My cuticles were not even done…I had requested a specific lady when booking because she has always done an amazing job with my nails but I didn’t have her this time and the result is absolutely not what I wanted. Worst pedicure I've ever had. Very rude and disrespectful nail technicians. They were sitting on my next chairs talking very loud in another language and one of them was watching something on her phone while she was eating something. I kindly asked her to lower it down but she did not listen. My pedicure was really bad chipped in two days. OMG it was like a zoo. Please don't go there it is just wasting your money.

I’ve been visiting this nail salon for 3 years (and counting)! I always get compliments on my nails, and have convinced many friends to make Salon NB their go to place too. During my last visit it started down pouring rain outside, and Ivy lent me an umbrella after I mentioned I didn’t have one. Great nail service and great people!

everyone at the salon was really nice and helpful!! I asked for a floral design and they were so sweet and gave me exactly what I described. I normally don’t like the vibe at nail salons but they were great here!! Hannah and Lisa are the cutest!!

I had got to the salon earlier than my appointment and the staff greeted me warmly at the door. It had been a while since I got a manicure or pedicure done. I have issues with ingrown toenails on my big toes and have had bad experiences with previous salons. When I mentioned to the woman doing the pedicure my situation, she was attentive and listened to my concerns. She told me her process and what she was going to do and asked if I was okay with everything. The staff made me feel safe and comfortable, and I felt like I was in great hands. Would definitely recommend checking them out!

My nail tech was very friendly which I loved, but I felt completely rushed throughout my entire experience. The fastest mani/pedi I have ever had at any salon. My nails look mediocre, it is obvious that it was a rushed process. This salon prioritizes speed over quality.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Came in for a no-chip with a french tip and the lady that was doing my nails did a thick white line at first, I told her I would like to have a thinner line and she visibly got annoyed with me. She did not even take the time to make sure nails on both hands matched nor was I given a chance to check and as you can see from the photos she did a horrible job and was extremly unprofessional and rude the whole time. On top of that, I got charged $10 for the french tip, when on the webiste it says that it is $5. This was my first and last time at this nail salon.
