Worst hair salon I have ever been to. $210 for roots & blow out which was terrible. Don’t ever go there

Unprofessional and Concerning Practices This salon is very unprofessional and has serious issues with both customer service and employee treatment. There’s a high turnover rate—I notice a new assistant every time I visit. It’s not because they’re bad at their jobs but likely because they’re treated so poorly by the owner that they don’t want to stay. For example, employees are forced to use a tiny storage unit as a break room, even though there’s a large, unused space in the back with a table. I also had a terrible experience with the products they sold me. I purchased three Kerastase items, and within weeks, I realized something was wrong. The smell wasn’t quite right, and eventually, I discovered mold in one of the products. Thankfully, I noticed before continuing to use it. I would strongly advise against buying products here—stick to the official website, where the products are authentic, often discounted, and sometimes come with free gifts. Their services are overhyped as well. The styles are outdated, their methods are questionable, and they reuse bleach, color, and toner between clients. Yes, the same bowl of product might be used for multiple people. This is unhygienic and unacceptable. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this salon. There are far better options in the area with updated styles, professional methods, and ethical practices.

I was recommended this salon by my personal trainer back in 2016, and ever since, I've never looked back. From haircuts to highlights and conditioning treatments, I've experienced nothing but top-notch service. All the professionals here are incredibly skilled at what they do, but my favorite is Nadley. With just a few words, she knows exactly what I want and always delivers amazing results. I frequently receive compliments on my hair from people who even approach me just to ask where I got it done. The entire staff at the salon is not only professional but also incredibly polite. Their formal yet warm compliments always make my visits even more enjoyable. It's a place I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality hair care.

Natalie cut and blew my hair. Her blowout made my hair look so much thicker than it actually is!! Normally, my blowout will last me a day, two days later my hair still looked as good as the day I left the salon I was shocked!!!

Have been to this salon twice now and have a great experience everytime! Quick and convenient scheduling done via WhatsApp, have never had an issue coming in last minute and getting my hair cut and blown out, whenever I need. Natalie does an excellent job!

I was looking for a good salon near me on the east side, and I found Salon Nouvelle in my neighborhood. I was so glad. I have been going here for my haircuts and my hair color for a while now and I just love Natalie. She is the best stylist and colorist Ive ever had, and Ive been to Salons on Fifth and elsewhere but nothing can compare to her talents, her warmth, kindness and understanding. When I started to have thinning hair, she recommended the use of extensions, and she does the most meticulously magnificent job, every single time!!!!It has made me feel confident and good about myself. Natalie always takes time and is very patient in doing my extensions perfectly even with other clients. Her staff is so kind and accommodating as well. I love them! This place is the place that I will highly recommend to anyone looking for a great all around salon. I feel so at home here and that in itself is what I was looking for. Nothing pretentious, nothing presumptuously arrogant or having a feeling of being ignored or unattended at all. Natalie and her staff do the best work!!!

DON'T BOOK COLORING HERE!! They will NOT honor ClassPass credits, you WILL be waiting or at least an hour to actually start the service (even if you have an appointment), and they WILL charge you anywhere from $250+ for a coloring service. You also may be unknowingly paying for services that you did not ask for. I had an appointment for 4:30PM last Tuesday, told the woman at the front desk that I had an Ombré Color appointment with ClassPass. She was confused and seemed to not have it documented - even though I showed her the receipt - but sat me down anyway. I showed the stylist (A) pictures of the last two times I had gotten an ombré with money pieces at Salon Nouvelle. (A) blew out my curly hair, and then made me wait an hour while she serviced walk in clients. After the first hour, she then starts dying my hair and making comments about political affiliations, telling me who I should be voting for, which has never happened to me in the two years of going to this salon. Four hours later, she then blows my hair out for a second time, and I realize that she actually gave me highlights instead of the ombré that I had initially asked for. The blowout and the highlights themselves were decent, but it was NOT the service I had asked/paid for. Given it was past 8:30PM, I go to the front desk to get change and tip (A) and the washer, but the front desk woman tells me that I owe an additional $250 because I got highlights and not ombré, even though I had shown the stylist multiple photos of myself after leaving Salon Nouvelle from the last two years with ombré as a reference that she ignored. There had also never been an issue with ClassPass in the past two years, and the woman had known before starting the service that that was how I had booked the appointment, and said nothing to me about it. The woman then calls the owner who began screaming on the phone at me for 10 minutes straight that I owe them $250 because they don't do ombré via ClassPass any longer. The woman at the front had never told me that was the case (even though I said "I'm here with a ClassPass ombré appointment" the second I walked in) AND the stylist gave me highlights instead when I never mentioned asking for at any point. If there was an issue with my ClassPass reservation, that should have been stated immediately rather than their team being inappropriately misleading. Instead, the owner blamed me as the customer for not paying for services, when it is her business that works with ClassPass that says online they offer ombré services with Salon Nouvelle. As a prior loyal client to this business for the last two years, getting screamed at, lied to, and overcharged from the owner and front desk woman was disheartening and disappointing. Not a single apology was said from the owner, front desk woman, nor stylist before leaving. All were WELL aware of the services I had paid for, blatantly ignored everything, gave me the wrong service and made this a HORRENDOUS customer experience. I will never be returning and want to make sure others are aware of what they might be getting themselves into.

Very good services regarding the standard care of your hair, like a regular blow or a hair cut. I would not suggest any colour techniques, because I had not the best experience with my highlights recently. Though I would definitely recommend Natalie.

LOVE Salon Nouvelle! Natalie has been doing my hair for over 10 years and now she’s taking care of my daughter too! Natalie is so talented - she just looks at you and knows what to do. I’ve been a client at Salon Nouvelle for several years. The hairdressers there are terrific - the colorist do a fabulous job especially for blondes. I’m a redhead and I’m extremely happy with the color. I get my hair washed and blown twice a week and I always leave feeling great - if your hair looks good, you feel good. I get my hair cut every 2 month and they get it right every time. There are times you have to wait longer than you would like, but it’s worth the wait.

Natalie burned my hair by keeping the color on too long. I lost about 1/3 of my hair and it will take a good year to get to a stage where I can stop wearing headbands. I was a customer for 10 years. The shop was not busy, but she was very distracted chatting and moving about. I was not fully aware of the extent of the damage until the next day, because I had it blown out at the shop. By that time, I was in Pennsylvania. I called the shop to report that massive hair loss and her mother assured me Natalie would call me back. She never did. My advice to anyone considering using this shop for a coloring service, is to ask Natalie how long the timer is set and be your own timekeeper. It is now 3 months since my hair was burned and broke off. I am writing this to alert others that you need to be your own hair color timing assistant at this salon.

Я была записана к Наталье. Все началось с того, что мне пришлось ожидать пока она закончит обслуживать другого клиента около часа. Мастер Наталия полностью сожгла мои волосы передержав средство для осветления. Фольга при осветление волос начинала отпадать просто с моими волосами! В итоге оставила меня с волосами длинною в 5 сантиметров, а некоторые даже и короче! Ушла в слезах, не могла смотреть на себя в зеркало. Получилось сделать наращивание только спустя месяц, когда немного отрасли волосы и было на что наращивать. Отвратительное обслуживание, не профессионал своего дела, не рекомендую вам этот салон и мастера Наталью!

Beware of the eyelash extensions. Worst case scenario… everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Picture is from 3 hours after service. You can see how they all are clumped together. Lashes were overlapped, sticking out above my lash line and peeling off. Glue was so hard and stinky it gave me a headache. Staff gets the 1 star for being nice.
