If you’re looking for a place that gives great perms, look no further! I love perms, and this is my fifth time getting one. I always make sure to read reviews and look at photos before booking an appointment, so if you’re doing the same, I hope this review helps! For context, I’ve had a few perms in the past that didn’t turn out great. Sometimes the curls were too loose, some strands stayed straight, or the curls fell out within hours after the perm. These experiences made me anxious about trying a new place. Then I met Jennifer! She’s the sweetest, kindest hairdresser you’ll ever meet. During our appointment, I felt truly listened to. I told her I wanted a tighter perm because my long hair tends to stretch out after a few weeks. I showed her some pictures, and she exceeded my expectations! Jennifer was incredibly meticulous, spending a lot of time on each rod to ensure every strand of my hair was curled perfectly. My hair is thick and long, which made the process even more challenging, but she handled it with patience and a smile. She put in 227 rods over the course of five hours, which was no small feat. Not a single strand was left uncurled by the end. Beyond her technical skills, Jennifer was so thoughtful. She took the time to teach me how to care for my perm and even showed me a new trick for diffusing my hair. At the end of the appointment, she trimmed my dead ends just because she wanted me to look my best. Honestly, Jennifer was a lifesaver. I have a really important event this month, and I’d been feeling anxious about my appearance. She worked wonders with my hair and gave me the best perm I’ve ever had. I’m so glad I found her! I’ll definitely return to Jennifer for any future perms. If you’re in the same boat as I was and decide to book with Jennifer, I know you’ll be in great hands! First time having my mullet permed and I will never go anywhere else. Jennifer did an incredible job. She takes pride in her work and it shows. She truly loves what she does for a living and she’s darn good at it. Can’t recommend going to see her enough. I promise you will not regret it. Thank you Jennifer. You’ve earned a forever customer.

Gina gave me the best haircut...EVER! The salon is beautiful and inviting, atmosphere warm and relaxing. Gina and I discussed what I wanted, studied the pictures I brought in, settled on a style best for my lifestyle, hair type, maintenance, etc. The result...perfection. I have found my new stylist!

I had an appointment scheduled with Jennifer for a perm. I was honestly a little confused with what I wanted myself and when I decided I wanted more of a wave than a curl Jennifer helped me find the exact roller I wanted. While I was in the chair everyone was very kind all around the salon and even though Jennifer had never used these rollers before she did an incredible job. My perm came out exactly how I wanted and I would suggest anyone who wants one to come here. Thank you!!

JENNIFER! This lady worked a miracle on a nightmare! I trusted my 10 year old that she was thoroughly brushing her long hair. And found a ball of matted hair at the nape of her neck a week and a half ago. I did everything I could, my daughter knew it would need to be cut, but asked can we comb out everything not in the matted hair and camouflage the adult sized ball of matted hair until school was out. We had an appointment at a different salon for this next Tuesday, 6/18. I went to work on what I could this morning and saw the rest of her hair was starting to get matted, and I started to cry. My husband said we weren't waiting and called Nyla Salon this morning and we got an appointment the same day. Jennifer cut the matted hair out, deep conditioned my daughter, combed the almost-matted hair out, and gave her a cut that she's excited about, while making sure she wouldn't look like a "Karen". She was so patient, and had the most positive attitude and my little girl left the salon confident, going from long, mid back length hair, to hair just under her chin. And it took an hour and a half. Jennifer killed it today! We will be back and thank her so much for her positive attitude and amazing skills!

Got a perm here today from Jennifer, I thought she was great! Very knowledgeable and very nice! I’m very happy with how my perm came out (been doing them for 7-8 years)! I definitely recommend coming to this salon!

I decided to try Salon Nyla on a whim, booked an appointment for a facial and a haircut with Jennifer, she was wonderful! She did a fantastic job with my hair, I didn't even have a clear vision for what I wanted, but she was still able to completely transform my hair and I walked out looking and feeling like a million bucks! My skin is glowing and radiant and I'm so glad that I went. Jennifer is incredibly kind, patient, and SO talented, highly reccomended!!!

I needed to do my hair asap, have it colored and have the bangs fix before a wedding. And this place took me in right away, even having them start an hr before they open up! Jennifer did an amazing job on my hair, I had it colored rose gold after having the other ladies help me pick out the right color for me. She did an amazing job on the whole process of it, making sure my hair doesn't get destroyed. Everyone was very friendly and warm, would definitely come back to have my hair retouched or for other services they have! I really love my new hair!

Jen is amazing. I wish I had all the photos of what she's done to and for my hair over the years, all gathered up for this review but I'll have to post them later if I can. My profile photo is her work --- perfection. She has been doing my hair from lifting and toning, putting cool colors in, full on haircuts & layering, trims for up-keep, and recently - on a whim: bangs! They look fantastic! Shes gentle, super sweet and always makes sure to ask specifics on what you want, and check-in with you to make sure you get exactly what you want. My hair is always in better condition after I'm done seeing her. She really knows what she's doing. I always suggest bringing in a photo (if you can) to any hair stylist to make sure you're getting what you want, especially if you don't know what the haircut or style is called - just something to do or you may miscommunicate what you're after. I've brought in photos only a few times, but the few times I have, she's only needed a quick look, and immediately know what I'm after, executes it well! I've gotten services from her at several salons, and will continue to follow her if she ever goes anywhere else! I'm glad she's at a salon with Aveda - plant based products now ☺️. Thank you Jen!!

Jennifer at Salon Nyla did an amazing job on my color and cut!! My hair looks so much healthier and thicker now with the trim and layers she added and the burgundy color is gorgeous. Very happy with how everything turned out. Will be going back!

Jennifer gets 10 ⭐!! I did a partial classic highlight, and it looks stunning! I've seen lots of different hair stylists and have developed trauma from butchered work. Jennifer has healed that trauma. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and listens to your hair concerns. I completely trust her with my hair and would see her again 1,000 times. Went here because they were the highest rated salon near me; and they did NOT disappoint!! I've had INSANELY thick, long, frizzy, unruly hair for forever, and wanted to take off as much as possible, especially having my curls so weighed down by the sheer amount of hair. Jennifer(Jenn) did a freaking MIRACLE for me. She even taught me the best ways to style my curls (I'm 30 years old and she still taught me so much I never knew about my curls!). She didn't force products on me or try to upsell me with unnecessary items, she just recommended things she genuinely thought would help me. She listened to what I wanted. I am so overjoyed with my new hair and my experience there, I was literally bouncing with happiness while paying, lol. I know this is long, but I seriously can't say enough wonderful things about Jennifer and the salon. I've already recommended my roommate to go there! Thank you SO MUCH, Jennifer and Salon Nyla. I feel like a new woman (and about 10lbs lighter, haha). I am absolutely coming back!!!

When I called them they told me they specialize in pompadours and faux hawks for men that is sadly not true they are too busy taking care of the people that live in the retirement home i will never go back there again,!
