Updated review in 2025: Loyal to Hector and his brilliance for years now. He works wonders with my fine hair. I’ll keep recommending Salon Oko to my friends :) Hector is the best! Always knows what I want and delivers every time. The staff is respectful & welcoming and the salon is clean and well appointed.

Salon OKO and Hector are amazing! Hector is not only super friendly but also so knowledgeable. He listened to what I wanted, and gave me something he knew would suit my hair texture, skin tone, and style. Highly recommend!

I came because of the great reviews at this place. They did not disappoint! The customer service was great and it was such a professional and friendly atmosphere. Mia did an awesome job with my hair and exceeded my expectations! She also asked a lot of good questions on what I wanted and gave me some great advice too! I will be returning sometime in the future. 😊

Beautiful and clean salon. I needed a last minute cut/gloss and Mia did a great job. I’m super particular about my hair, it’s not easy to work with since it’s very thick and dense. The whole service itself and ambience was awesome but this is a dry-cut bar! I didn’t see it written anywhere on the website (or I’m blind) so I went in with a different expectation. This is a great salon and recommended for sure to those who are comfortable with a dry cut bar :)

Catherine has done it yet again folks. I went in with the original highlights I got from catherine at salon oko south blended in FLAWLESSLY. My natural hair is quite dark and I like my highlights very light. I was able to go 6months without touching my hair before I had to come back, and even then I didn’t really need to. I asked for a light trim, face frame, and to tone my blonde down for the winter and just to match a bit more with my natural. She nailed it! She toned me to the perfect“Haley Bieber Bronde,” that blends my highlights seamlessly in to my natural hair with the perfect amount of dimension. She completely understood what I wanted with my cut and executed my face framing pieces perfectly. Could not recommend Catherine and anyone else at salon oko enough!

Juaquin taught our daughter how to care for her curly hair. Then today she had a terrible matted knot from getting a comb stuck in her hair and Vander and both stylists spend hours picking it out for her with minimal breakage and didn’t charge. The stylists here take care of their clients!!

I came in as a brand new client with a big hair challenge - my typically straight hadn’t been cut professionally in almost two years, and I suspected it had changed texture since I gave birth but wasn’t sure because my hair was so long. Sherry was so patient and kind while we talked through our options, strategized about which to pick, and made me feel seen and cared for. She took the time to understand not just my hair but my life so she could help me look and feel great, and she taught my how to care for my now-wavy hair. As a mom of two young kids, it was everything! And it paid off - my hair looks amazing and I feel brand new. Thank you so much Sherry for a wonderful experience, especially as a first time client. This is a wonderful salon. I was very impressed. Everyone is dedicated, professional and they make all the clients feel relaxed and cared for. This was my first visit and I will definitely go back.
