Pleasant salon and staff. When I tried to schedule last minute and Oliver had no availability, they put me on a cancellation list and got me in quickly. Oliver does a nice job with my unwieldy hair.

Love this studio! They include a drink with your appointment (water/wine/tea/coffee), your stylist will wash (does a great job), and style, very affordable too. Tess is super personable and does an excellent job!

Such a gorgeous salon - really peaceful and located right next to some great shops and restaurants. I love that they carry and use Davines hair products, I always leave with my hair smelling incredible! I have been going to Bettina for my haircuts forever and she is wonderful! The staff are lovely and I appreciate the appointment reminders.

I visited this salon for the first time last week. The space was nice, parking was easy, and the stylist who helped me was kind and professional. Unfortunately, the results weren’t what I had hoped for. My color and highlights turned out uneven, with some sections looking streaky or spotty. I was surprised, especially considering I spent $500. I know hair color can be tricky, but it’s disappointing to feel like the quality didn’t match the price. While the experience itself was pleasant, I don’t think I’ll be returning, and I can’t confidently recommend it based on my visit.

My haircut was great, but I had an extremely poor experience with my balayage. I requested a dark mushroom/cool toned brown and did NOT get that at all (pics shown of what I was given). I went back several times hoping she would be able to fix it but she never got it right. I stopped going back after the third or fourth time and several hundred dollars later. Not only that, but the stylist, Kassie, forgot who I was and talked crap about me, TO ME. I mentioned personal things in a previous appointment because she asked about it, and then in the next appointment she forgot who I was and said I was crazy, TO ME. When I called her out on it she said, "oh sorry I forgot who you were." Her haircut was good but would not recommend her other services. I went to a different salon and was able to get the exact style I wanted right away.

RUN, do not walk to make an appointment! I’m officially on Andrea’s books because she is amazing! I have curly hair and have been jaded by expensive, time consuming, “curly cuts”- so I walked in with quite a list of concerns: I wanted a trim, not a style, I have sensory issues so no dripping wet hair, I wanted help on a hair routine that matched my lifestyle, etc- Andrea handled them all and then some- I also have a sensitive scalp due to eczema and she took the time to walk me through the products. I was also in and out of there in an hour or so! The staff is also very friendly and the prices are reasonable!

I was searching a for a stylist to cut my poofy hair into something more manageable and Oliver at Salon on 30th did not disappoint. He got my style exactly right and educated me on hair products for coarse hair types. Awesome

Was only in town for work for a short period of time ! They got me in right away. Kasey did everything I asked and more. It was a comfortable and open environment. You can tell they care about every person that walks in! One of the girls even made a sweater for one of their regular customers ! Thank you again for the experience! My hair feels great ❤️

I am visiting San Diego and after much research i came across this hair salon. I have curly hair so I was nervous to go to a new stylist but I got my hair cut with Andrea. I told her I wanted to preserve length & wanted to get rid of dead hair. She did just that and styled it beautifully! She also made me feel comfortable the entire time and is friendly & attentive. 10/10 service.

My wife and I were looking for a COVID-safe hairstylist who was willing to wear a mask while she cut our hair. My wife found Bettina and she gave my wife a great cut and style. I hadn't had my hair cut since before COVID began, so I decided to give Bettina a try. She did a great job and I'm very happy.

Sian and Essence are absolute gems. Sian cuts my hair and the detail they put into the shape, how it feels, the weight and the bangs; all of it is absolutely impeccable. I'm a very low maintenance hair person; If I don't like how it sits I'm tossing it in a claw clip. But whenever Sian cuts it I'm in love because I feel good in it as is. Essence has crazy skill. I have dark DARK black/brown roots and she took me to the perfect pink color. The last person I went to bleached the living daylights out of my hair and was kind of careless and uneven with how I wanted to split my colors. She took the time to not only correct where the color splits, but also my hair feels super healthy still? And beautifully colored? It's honestly unreal. She puts a lot of care and thought into what she does and is the absolute sweetest. Cannot recommend them enough. I have big hair trust issues but salon on 30th is it for me.

First time here. After reading online reviews and scouring their website, I called to request their hours (not listed on their site). The receptionist was knowledgeable and helpful, and I was able to get an appointment a Sunday!! The piece was quoted, too - very helpful, as their hair stylists have different price ranges. My appointment began promptly with Andrea. The space is open, modern, clean, and beautiful in a very old building. (Modern and old...I know. But it is.) Andrea was professional and spoke with me until we both knew exactly what my cut would be - I needed feedback, and she made certain she understood what look I wanted. The shampoo set up was comfortable (an ottoman for legs - not every salon has that and it was perfect for my back), she verified the water was a good temp, and the head massage was delightful. We chatted throughout the cut, with her checking in every so often to ensure my comfort and explain what she was doing. Also, the chat was calm - her vibe was relaxed and professional, which I appreciated. The blow dry was pain-free, I was able to see the process, and it is easily done at home. The cut was so good even my picky teenagers admired it (we have taught them to always be honest...maybe a mistake when it comes to my appearance!). I set my next appointment that day.

I had a haircut with Tess and she was amazing! I don’t think I have ever had a haircut done so well! She was also very friendly and a wonderful conversationalist. Can’t wait for my next haircut with her, and I’ll be bringing my Great Dane in with me to say hi :)

I had an appointment with Eileen for a haircut and consult today. She did a fantastic job! I didn't know precisely what I wanted just a couple basic ideas but she was able to turn that into a magnificent haircut! She was also very friendly as were all the staff. I loved this experience! It was exceptionally relaxing! I would recommend this place to anyone! Beautiful salon and warm and welcoming staff!! Loved it!!

Y’all I got the BEST shag cut ever from Tess yesterday! Like so good I had five strangers complement my hair today 💁🏼‍♀️ Tess is a genius and I can’t stop checking myself out. Definitely recommend!
